Hey guys,
I got an analogue dual sim adapter. When I start the phone with the first sim card it's ok. But as soon as I wanna switch to SIM2, it tells me, the sim card was missing. When I do a reboot instead of turning off and on the telephone module, it works. The strange is, when I do a switch from SIM2 to SIM1, there is no problem at all. Neither by restart nor by turning telefunction off and on.
I already tried to switch the sim cards manually in the adapter. No change. Always the problem by switching from SIM1 to 2.
Does anybody have a solution?
Btw. I run WM6 Touch VII. But it's the same problem with WM5.

I assume that your sim is Analog? I'm not sure exactly how those work, but I had a similar problem with my Digital dual sim. It would always give a sim blocked message while trying to switch in the one direction. In the other direction it was fine. It turned out that my provider required the exact Telephone number to be the name of the Sim. When I changed the name, everything worked fine. Since it sounds like you have an analog model, I'm not sure if you can change the name, but if you can, it's worth a try.
P.S. The Digital Dual Sim really burn a lot of Battery, so I can't really recommend it.

Which Radio Rom are you using? I would recommend 2.69.21. Since it works on a softreset and not with the Phone on off switch in ConnectionsManager, I would guess that you Radio Rom is not compatible with your SIM. Try flashing a new Radio ROM to see if that helps, if not, you can always another. If none of the radio roms work... well, try bringing back the SIM and getting a new one or something.

i updated to the newest radio rom version. And nothing changed. still "sim card missing". I suppose there's something wrong with my simcard.

Probably, but I did think of one other thing. It's kinda dumb, but maybe worth checking out: Is possibly one SIM slightly thicker than the other? If so that might be the problem. You could then try wedging paper in between to give it better contact. Otherwise, good luck with bringing it back, or exchanging it.
P.S. Have you tried it in a different Cell phone?

Have you tried all the radio roms? In your situation, I would flash every radio rom on the ftp just to try it out. Maybe the oldest one will help, maybe 2.47.21? Who knows? But if the card works in a different phone, then I can't see why it wouldn't work in the Prophet??? I have a Digital Dual Sim, and that works fine, but drains the battery:(

Hmm, interesting, I have a simmilar problem on my wizard. But it happens only with one particular pair of cards, other works flawleslly.
On my device it doesnt show the message, it even looks like it logs to the network correctly, but its imposible to make call, access Sim card or any phone options. It looks like the phone module hanged, and only solution is a soft-reset.
I didnt even thinked that the SIM card names have anything todo with that. Can you tell me in what format you put the number? I mean, did you put the country code in front of it (like eg. 44 or +44).
I have already tried to put the number, but still no success.
Also I have looked through many ROM's (more than 10) and tried almost all available radio's and always the same, no success.
PS About battery drain, i own a 15gen. dual sim card and it have exactly same power consumption as used without it. So seek for a new DualSim, they dont have increased drain.
