After a long night i am happy to present my first ROM to you.

It is based on vlodeck's "TouchFLO Charmer WM6 ver. 2.1 FINAL by vlodeck".
THX vlodeck.

I have translated the ROM using this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=311078) Howto.

And now I am searching for Beta Testers.
Please feel free to test this ROM an report bugs.

I have forgotten some lines in the initflashfiles.dat :-)) You have to manually copy \windows\Start Menu\Programs\File Explorer to \windows\Startmenü\Programme

You can use the Bluetooth Explorer or you can install the total commander .

For the customisation / alien screen Problem you have to manually delete the file welcome.lnk in \windows\AutoStart

I have this done I have clicked mp3 and then set ace ring tone (in in English) stands there it! then comes (while copying the ringing tone in the folder " micron DocumentsMeine ringing tones " a mistake has appeared. The ringing tone could not be taken over. HELP!!!!!!

if you install new progs, they are in programs and not in programme.

On today screen its still contacts and not Kalender.

Ländereinstellung is not Deutsch/Deutschland from the beginning.

Homeplug, Cube, Audiomanager, Comm Manager still in english.

But anyway... @ the moment the best german rom for a charmer you can get.

Bugs I found:

After using the camera the backlight turns off and the only way to activate is using the power switch.

And I don't can save any Contact on my Charmer - but saving on the simcard works. It displays the following message: In diesem Programm ist ein unerwarteter Fehler aufgetreten" What is this??

I think i know what my misstake is! At the beginning I used the T-Mobile AKU 2.2. --> I saved my pim, sms, etc. with Spb-Backup and restored it for testing. Works! --> I flashed to AKU 3.3 --> Works! Now I restored my Spb for testing with the new AKU. SMS works, but I can't open my contacts (says no error, doesn't start the program)!

Now, I flashed your ROM and my contacts give me the error from my first post.

My question: How can I erase all parts of the old AKU? There's a rest from the t-mobile AKU 3.3 in it, because the start screen shows the t-mobile logo and one contact is on my charmer. I created these contact for testing AKU 3.3 without using Spb-Backup!

@All:
Don't use Spb-Backup to restore your data from WM5 to WM6. It doesn't work (on my Charmer!!)!

The Rom Works always works better. I've tested Tomtom 6.03 with a Bluetooth Mouse, Totalcommander and XnView, all OK.
But i have a Problem to Start Excel,it does not work. In Powerpoint you can't create a new Presentation. Does anybody knows???

on this - you can't use spb from AKU2.2 to AKU3.3 - MS changed something in the pim-structure 'I heard'
long story short - I ran into this mistake (contacts didn't work, calendar didn't work and even calls did not come through)
use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299705&highlight=PIM+Backup and for restoring your old data - install MS Mobile Emulator, restore your spb and backup using PIMBackup - then transfer back to mobile

today i had the problem that my software suddenly turned off the backlight. So now the big problem was that in the Charmer Touch 2.3 there is no option to turn it on again.
For everyone who have the same problem and if you don't want to make a hard reset i finally found a great software to turn it on again.
This is the progam "vjlumosiii.exe". Only copy it to your PDA and start it.
In the same moment you get back your backlight. :) :) :)
Perhaps you should include this cool litte program in your rom mschmitz.

thank you for the link. I found also a cool software for Voip :D .
This software is called Fring. I have attached the installation file.
With fring you can use Fring, Skype, MSN, Google Talk, ICQ and SIP on your PDA. I used it over my USB Cable and the quality is very good.
The software is also very good and stable because the original skype
software does not function correctly on my charmer but with fring and
a bluetooth headset or the cable headset i can use skype without any problem.

Perhaps can you try if it also functions with your WLAN card?
If yes i will also buy me this WLAN card.

@mschmitz: Sorry, but I have to report the same problem like some others, I can't charge the phone via usb! :( Do you know something about it? I tryed different cables, and befor I flashed it, it charged without problems.

charging via usb (or any other non-original charger):
there is a nice explanation on why this happens somewhere here in the forum ;)
to make it short:
- soft reset while connected to usb (on my charmer it gets stuck - disconnect usb - reconnect when version-no show up and let it start)
- always connect usb when phone is suspended
- redo after using original chager since it will reset to only working with original charger
- other solution is to mod your usb cable (ground a pin thats not used in usb-specs on phone side)

OK, after learning to type in my SIM PIN blind and setting correct today-screen theme my charmer look pretty nice now. But its not possible to sync it against my Outlook 2003 (Active Sync and Outlook in German-Version used). On to-dos and calendar an error occours that charmer is out of memory on first object to sync and my contacts are not copied to charmer, but Active Sync says it is sync. Did anyone else experice same problems ?

I haven't tried to restore my contacts because i thought this wouldn't work.

btw: There are still some english "labels", where can they be changed (Telefon --> "Contacts"; Start-Einstellungen-System --> "Device Info", etc.)

And a big Problem is, the PDA doesn´t loading the Akku. I must plug the AC and 1-5 softreset´s, before the akku is loading. When

i've found one little bug.

I'm using your ROM together with Active Sync & Direct Push.

After the first init of Active Sync with Direct Push:

- Start Active Sync
- click "Menü" (right bottom)
- select "Zeitplan"
- select "Hauptzeit" (at thebottom)

You can edit the different time settings, but there's an 'am' or 'pm' missing and the 24hour-format doesn't work.

my Charmer Flsh hast not completet and make an Error on the PDA by the ROM-Transfere.
Is there a solve who can say me how i Copy Data on the CD-Kard and get in the Bootloader to complete the Installation or take a nother ROM?

Bekause the Charmer hangs up on the boot. i can only see ther Version Numbers.

I have the same problem. Choosing "Tastatur" is not taking effect after pressing OK. "Keyboard" is still active when opening input options again.

Any suggestions?

first of all great work, I really like it :)

But I have a mystery problem. Sometimes, without anything done, the device went on. This mostly happens between 5 and 30min after turning it off. Can't figure it out why.

Another one, always if I switch on my phone or even I reenable the display from tcpmp, the home screen will appear, which makes it hard to navigate through my playlist (have to restore tcpmp each time)

It may be necessary to select "Tastatur" again, but this time NOT IN SIPCHANGE, but in normal select mode (tap on the triangle next to the keyboard symbol and select "Tastatur".

i now get an error after each softreset (cannot run Sipchange ..blabla...).
So i removed SIPCHANGE again and no problem anymore. i can switch between all keayboards (english, german, transcriber, etc..) without any problems. (tap on the triangle next to the keyboard symbol).

Maybe try to do all this (select "Tastatur" from symbol, then soft reset) without installing SIPchange. If this does not work, istall it.

PS:
I've got a better and easier solution now.
SIPChange does not work for everyone, but this works now:
So remove Sipchange and do this:

1.Install the "Default_IM_WM5.CAB2". (http://pocketcm.com/phorum/file.php?11,file=111,filename=Default_IM_WM5.CAB)
Start->Programs ->IM Selector chose "Tastatur"
3. Start -> Settings -> Personal -> Input -> "Tastatur"
4. Softreset

This also works for PCM Keyboard

After doing the release 24.01.08- TouchFLO Charmer WM6_GER ver. 2.8 BETA by mschmitz my battery is not running normally. While the mda loading, the battery information is going down. Only when the mda is completely off, the battery is loading to 100%. The batterypack is model PM16A 3,7 vdc. Is there anybody who has an idea.

Hello Sven, dont know what exactly you need but:
A lot of infos can be found in:
"Einstellungen/System/Geräteinformationen (Settings/System/Device Information)"

If you need Bootloader Version and/or Processor /Phone Version (G3/G4)
SOFT reset your device and note the red numbers that come.

If you have something like

IPL: 1.12 (or 1.12.000)
SPL 1.12.0000

you have an G3 device

If IPL or SPL ends with 1 (e.g. 1.12.0001), you have an G4 device.
(0 is G3, 1 is G4)

Now check the first number.
1.12.xx is an Bootloader version 1 and 2.12.xx is 2, and so on.

I' ve found two bugs.

firstly, while adding german customization "wince.nls" has been replaced with a non conforming version (i guess by transcriber or something like that) ; as a consequence it is impossible to connect to SSL (e.g. exchange active sync). I attached a working file; just use the copy command (in config.txt, should be copied after the other installations) and add it to your ext. ROM

the second one is a minor one; you gotta add this reg string:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Internet Settings]
"UAProf"="http://www.htcmms.com.tw/gen/pu10-2.0.xml"

in order to get the browser correctly identified, as for me it is impossible to use the o2 wap flatrate without that string.

Hello Guys, had the same Problem and found a solution here at XDA-Dev.

I enclosed XDADev_BatFix.cab from this site, it seems that this is a WM6 issue on some ROMS.
USB Loading only starts when you SoftReset your device when plugged in USB port. This CAB solves it (at lease at my device). Just install and forgett, it will trigger a notification whenever USB is plugged in and start the fix.

Battery then loads again with USB Cable.
