I soon get my 7501 and I want to know how good/realibale the MicroDrive is.
It seems some people have problems with disappearing files, a wiped drive, or they cannot access the drive at all. But are these a few cases with maybe the first/older 7500 or this is a major problem?

I've voted occasional problem. It is really very very rare occurance. I don't consider it a real issue. Just have a regular backup. I'm always able to recover very quickly. Microdrive is very very fast compared to miniSDHC. Yes, it does have lost clusters occassionally, but so does the SD card. For me, the number of occurance of lost files is about 50/50 between the two.
I used to think that SD drive was more reliable, hence have all my applications there, with only pictures and videos on the MD. Now I reverse it. All my applications are in MD, and my videos and pictures are in SD. In that way, I have unlimited videos and picture by having many cards. So my SD card is almost like a DVD in the PC, and can have as many DVD as I want.
