I had a Wizard and firstly T-Mobile released a German aku3.3 rom and a few months later somebody found a WWE rom on the Croatian T-Mobile site for my old device. Now, i have a Universal and i've seen that T-Mobile also released a German rom and i everyday checked the Croatian site and hoped the same would happen. Today i realised the new WWE rom is out.

Ram after soft reset is : 31,7 mb (with 2 Gb. Storage Card,without it it's 32,7 mb...
Storage after soft reset : 40 mb
Looks stable,it's early to say its stable ofcourse but very fast be sure...

Pretty much as AKU2 ROM, ClearVue PDF, Pocket MSN, Video Call. i.m.h.o. Screenshots aren't interesting as it is 99% looking like AKU2.

I am experiencing lots of problems with my 4GB SD (Platinum). After entering sleepmode, sometimes card is not recognized anymore, put out and in resolves it. (just like some WM6 builds). MDA Pro AKU2 and WM6 KDSKAMAL did not have this problem.

Yes, there is no need to fill the 4GB SD Card up to 2GB. Mine was empty and the Camera app recognized it immediately.

Just a note about this... I'm a Wizard user, and I used Anichillus kitchen to extract the OEM, SYS and ROM (XIP) folders and deleted all of the T-mobile stuff. It takes a little time, but if a Uni. owner will do this, you can all build on it. BTW, there are some registry entries needed to get rid of the pink and gray highlighting in Smart Dialing which can be found in a generic ROM. You also have to replace the Smart Dialing bmp files with blue ones and replace the Intellipad file with one from a Cingular or other generic ROM and you will have a base to use for a custom job.

Could you help us to do that changes? I was a Wizard user for almost a year and i know Anichillus kitchen and his Core 2.0n. They are one of the best things i have ever seen. The kitchen was very nice on Wizard but you don't want to know how hard to use on Universal. Ok, now i can use the kitchen with a few tricks but i don't wish it even my enemy. It means the Universal release is absolutely not user friendly.

There is no need to install the entire ext rom. Just install this if you want the video call button to show up. It is deactivated by default. This came from the TMobile Ext ROM:

Looks like a solid build. I've been contemplating going back to WM5 for a while now, as I don't really see any marked improvement on WM6 other than the cool factor. The current WM6 ROM is pretty stable, as long as I carry out regular maintenance every few days using Memmaid. One query though; will all the latest Spb products work in WM5?

Just go to Windows folder, browse for wmodem. Copy the wmodem.exe file and create a shortcut to Windows>Start Menu>Programs>to whatever folder using file explorer.

I had the same problem, download the Universal RUU & extract to a folder. Extract the Universal Upgrade to a separate folder (if you have WinRAR installed right click on it & Extract to folder), then go into the folder, into RUU_Tools\Universal\WWE and copy the 3 .nbf files to the Universal RUU folder. Run ROMUPgradeUT and it "should" work, it did for me.

I just flashed this new ROM, this is my first new ROM it seems ok it doesn't seem to like my MMC card. I noticed something interesting my voice mail icon seems to be stuck, I've checked all the mails but yet the icon and notification soft-key won't go away tried Dismissing it and soft-resetting but still icon is there? Anyone else having this problem? And how do I fix it?

Just reflash as normal. I very often switch between WM6 and WM5 and have had no problems. If you come up against the Error 120 issue use the RUU attched to flash.

Ive been using it for a few weeks now and im finding that the COMM Manager sometimes fails to load. Also my email notifications dont always beep.

I dont really want to change the rom. I might try uninstalling pocket weather and see whether that makes any difference (long shot i know!)

Already done that. Have used to 02 dialler skin. Just polishing the rom as the pinky bits appear round the buttons as T-mobile decided to put the .rgu in a different place and not in the dialler bitmaps folder.

I changed all related registry values.. Nothing changes!
It's the best ROM on the wole world..
Battery life it's very.. VERY long!

BUT it's useless without sd support!
It behaves like a WM6!

I've been downgrading from several versions of WM6 to this. Finally I have a stable rom, which does not swallow the battery and sync correctly. And video call of course is working. It is also very fast.
The only things im missing is htc-home and 128 dpi.

The GPSDIO.DLL driver is the problem you are having. Find a newer one.
Hint: Look at wm6 roms. ;)

Hi Guys... I am the fresher types to upgrades... i am using imate jasjar. This is a 3G unlocked phone and i am using it on a Indian network... just wanted to make sure if i do a upgrade to this ROM will i have a Problem of Phone being locked again.

Hi Guys... I am the fresher types to upgrades... i am using imate jasjar. This is a 3G unlocked phone and i am using it on a Indian network... just wanted to make sure if i do a upgrade to this ROM will i have a Problem of Phone being locked again.

Current Version :-
ROM Version : 1.13.53 WWE
Radio Version : 1.14.10
Protocol Version : 42.49.P8
ExtROM : 1.13.300 WWE

However i tried to upgrade to this ROM and it get gave me A Country Code 120 Error. as per the forum i downloaded and trying upgrading to the RUU first, but RUU is just stuck on the Screen saying "checking the information on your device... please wait...." i waited on this screen for like 10 mins but still no luck... can you please help me.

Right-click on the .exe file of the ROM, which you have, extract the contents to a folder, will give you 2 folders, OutputFile and RUU_TOOLS, delete the folder RUU_TOOLS completely, go to OutputFile, you'll have 3 files i.e ms_.nbf (Extended ROM), nk.nbf(CE ROM Image), radio_.nbf(Radio Update).

Now copy these 7 files from the RUU-for country code errors.zip(which i have attached) to the OutputFile folder, double-click on ROMUpgradeUt.exe, follow the instructions, and you are home.

Just make sure, that your phone is properly connected and recognized by ActiveSync, before doin' the update.
