I-mate JasJar hanging every now and then

I got a jasjar and from past 2 weeks its acting wired by getting hanged every now and then.. I have no idea on whats goin wrong in that! Im think to update it to wm6.

If anyone can help me on how to stop this piece of brick on getting hanged every now and then it would be a great favour for me. I would also like to know how can i get the update to wm6 for jasjar. Im using the lastest ROM from club imate which is

For the Arabic Build: NEW
Rom version 1.30.82
Radio version 1.09.00
ExtROM version 1.30.171

I have trid all radios, all wm6 roms and all wm6 versions....all , and more than one time...i faced such hanging and crashs , battery drains...etc

but lastly i found the best rom...

the best combination you must use is pdaviet 2.10.06 and radio 1.17 ( this radio version you can get it from tmobile last update)

do this combination and you will see brilliant jasjar....and i'm ready to help you

and or arabic....you can use imaginet 343 , and after that i can give you 3 files to put in windows folder of your jasjar, then your keyboard will write in arabic and english......

download the following file http://www.t-mobile.hr/firmware/UNI_TMO_TMO_HR_20041_200147_11700_WWE_Ship.exe

extract it and from output folder take radio_.nbf

then download 2.10.06 rom from here http://rapidshare.com/files/28336384/ROM_v2.10.06_PDAVIET_UNI.rar

add the radio_.nbf to the rom update folder, then flash it....after flashing your rom i will tell you about arabic to have full full functions..

Im an average PDA guy, I really dun know what do you mean by flash it... plus how would i do that? Do i have to connect my device through USB and then do it? what software will do the update

How can I upgrade it to WM6 after that?

I'm sorry i have to go now...alfajr prayer then sleeping...inshalla after a few hours i will be at office and i will continue with you ...by the way , 2.10.06 is wm6 with new features and better speed that any other rom..and the battery will be so s so great....and radio reception and stability.....i'm uploading this combination to rapidshare now ....hope within half hour upload will finish and then you can update directly withut merging files from here and there...if you are patient you can download onefile....

for arabic i will also send you imaginet 343..its so better than the default version....its right to left also..you will not have any difficulty to delete any letter in the message like before...and the keyboard will be functional....

Will have the video call and other featuers after updating it?

To be honest I have never done experiments with the device exept updating the ROM once from the club Imate website so juz being cautios u know ;)

then wait till morning and the file uploading will be finished,,,that time , you will just connect your jasjar to computer and just clicking romupgrade file , then update process will begin till then end...after that you will have wm6 on your jasjar and radio 1.17

video call is not working with this version, but you can use HTC_VideoCAll , maybe it can do video call for you...i didn't try it, but i don't video call...

walah i found this forum by mistake i think am lucky to find it :D , i used PDA2 all that time .. and jst changed to jasjar 2 days ago .. and i wanna update it .. its used .. anyway it doesnt hang or anything its clean, i jst want to update to wm6 and update the roms .. wat i found is vista doesnt accept activesync and the Windows Mobile Device center doesnt work !! dunno why anyway mashalah nedal u look like an expert .. i dunno wat to do exactly and the files u sent alrdy downloaded them .. so if u help him ur helpin me too thanks alot ^^, every option u said is great and the arabic fully functioned is perfect but only the Video call .. i needed it .. il try the HTC but after updating everything so please proceed and thanks alot bro =)

Mr. UAE, actually I'm not expert, i have some little experience and i wish it will help all.

first of all : the best ROM for me till now is PDA viet 2.10.6 with Radio 1.17 , i have tried all PDA Viet , Helmi,midget,leo,ivan,kdskamal,darkeforce.....etc

its the best for me, without any hang ,without any crash...and battery performance so much better (but you have to make some settings on your windows mobile when using it)

with this file , you will find update files , Arabic v343 ,and keyboard files.

after you update your jasjar , copy the folders jasjarbn343 and arabickeyboard to your memory card, then from inside the folder jasjarbn343 run the first two files (1ACERTOEMTahoma_KJ ,2ACERT2OEM_KJ) the other files are for extra files for prayertimes ,hijri calendar and dictionary .

after you do the previous steps , you should use resco explorer or total commander to copy the files inside arabickeyboard folder to your windows folder, accept overwrite.

second, uae, thanks my dear for your words ,if your jasjar is going fine with wm5 why to change to wm6? if you want wm6 , i recommend using only the one i uploaded.

for windows vista and activesync...you have to copy some files to your computer , the driver files ...its so easy and in this forum there is a separate thread about this.

okay i thnk my jasjar is done ... !! i did the flash thing u told me about and it got an error in the middle .. so now my jasjar doesnt work anymore .. only shows USB .. and v0.60 at the bottom i cant flash it again .. i think its gone right ?? no way to fix it .. well i hope ther is but i rly started to cry -.- !!

and after bootloader update , upgrade your rom normally another time, inshalla everything will be fine, and tell me what happen
