Hi,
I've a HTC S710 and configured it to display chinese characters based on the following registry tweaks.

1. HKLM\Software\Microsoft\FontLink\SystemLink | Segoe Condensed = \Windows\SimYou.ttf,YouYuan
2. HKLM\Software\Microsoft\FontPath | FontPath = \Windows
3. HKLM\System\GDI\SysFnt | Nm = YouYuan

Everything went on perfectly as i'm able to view chinese characters. The problem arise when i attempted to send chinese character sms to friends and all of my friends received "??????" and doesn't recognize the chinese sms which i sent.

I've installed plumSIP cab which i downloaded from this forum.

Any idea ?

I guess your service provider don't support the font that you are using, or you try a dopod rom i have no problems using the latest rom.

U should install a Chinese pack which enable u to use modified nls instead of default wince.nls which means u can choose Chinese(PRC) in Regional Settings.

Don't ask me where to find:)

instead of finding that file, i found out that i only need to enable the unicode setting in messaging application to send out chinese text message.

thanks anyway.
