Here's the first shipping cradle, not for me yet as I'm looking for one that charges a 2nd battery. There is one here that has audio out however;

Have you seen a stand alone charger that will charge just the battery?

I'm not one for leaving the phone in the cradle, but I do like to charge a spare battery and cycle the batteries.

I have my eye out for one as well, Last time I got a nice one from Sedio.

Although, I also got a Cradle/Spare Charger from Mobile Planet for my Hermes that was smaller than the single charger so that's what I ended up traveling with, so I could charge 2 when needed. The mobile planet one was from HTC and was the best quality, hopefully they'll make a TyTN version.

It looks good, but looking at the pictures, it has more that 4 contacts for the battery which looks more like TyTN's instead of TyTN II but that's probably a mock-up. I'm hoping still for a HTC version, their TyTN version had the 2nd battery set on edge behind the phone which made for a much more compact charger. Fingers crossed for a type II version..

I'm afraid to use my 8925 as a daily phone without a spare battery. I can get through the day with my 750 with a spare battery in pocket (usually go from 7 a.m. until around 3 with the first battery).

But with only one battery and no stand alone charger, the 8925 is kind of a toy at this point.

Hey buddy, I have a "stand alone" charger to sell you for 1000 bucks. It's fully featured with a 2.8 inch touch screen, bluetooth, wifi, keyboard, GPS and phone. I'll even throw in a 2 gig microsd card and free shipping too.

I will take it!

But only if you will take Western Union and throw in the Brooklyn Bridge.

Gotta believe with AT&T releasing the Tilt we will have cradles and batteries available pretty fast.

Is the Tilt able to use the 8525's desktop cradle?

RemE

In most cases it will fit, but the rear is thinner so there isn't good support. I'm using one carefully until I can get the real deal for Kaiser/Tilt. Any 2nd battery cradle will NOT fit/charge the Kaiser battery.

I have the following cradles available for the Kaiser:

- Vertical cradle (no 2nd battery charger)
- Horizontal cradle (no 2nd battery charger)
- Vertical cradle with 2nd battery charger
- Dome-style vertical cradle (no 2nd battery charger)

Pictures are below.

If you're interested ... PM me.

Interesting cradle, that horizontal one. But how does it load? The USB-Port is on the other side or is it just an "photo-fake"?

The hoizontal one is junk. I got one just like it for my XV6700. The mini USB never lined up quite right. Eventually, I slid the phone in and the mini USB connector broke off and went into the dock. It then became a worthless paperweight. The cutesy stylus is super cheap clear plastic.

Also, as someone else has already noted, the picture has the phone placement wrong.

Has anyone tried this (http://www.pdair.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=10100000_900000_11000164&products_id=6621) from PDAir? Looks ok.

I received a tracking number for mine as well. Did any of you get a second battery? I found few but they seem to be quite expensive ($50) even for standard battery.

Looking at these cradles....

Is there one that will do the following:
-charge the phone
-allow a 3.5mm headphone/home stereo hookup

AND

-allow the phone to be used handsfree/speakerphone for answering and dialing?

SEIDO has the first two, but looking for one that will do all three?

Any ideas?

Quick Review;

Just received this Cradle (it's labeled as made by KiDiGi ), the fit to the Kaiser is good, the USB connector fits easily when docking, the connector has gold plated contacts. The rear charge bay fits the spare battery nicely, however, the contacts are NOT gold plated. It came with a 5V power Supply with aprox 3mm power jack and a USB Cable.

There are two LEDs on the cradle. The right hand one is Blue and remains On at all times. The left hand LED is also always ON, showing Green with a Red "pulse" at about 2 Hz. When I place a battery in the bay, the left indicator turns Red. I placed the battery that was at 75% as indicated on the phone then removed the battery after about 5 minutes and then re-inserted it, the indicator will no longer turn Red unless I cycle power on the cradle.

All in all it's OK for the price, I'd prefer gold contacts and indicators that were off when not being used and would pay a little more for a higher quality unit.

Also, anyone try the boxwave cradle? More expensive than what we've been seeing.

This one (http://cgi.ebay.com/For-Sprint-Mogul-6800-HTC-USB-Twin-Desktop-Cradle_W0QQitemZ180170222568QQihZ008QQcategoryZ146 435QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem) looks like the Boxwave model, it also comes with charger and USB cable for 10$. It says it's for Titan/Mogul but if you look at Boxwave's Titan model, both cradles seem identical.

My best cradle is the one I bought on eBay from hong kong.

It actually charges both the phone and the spare battery via USB whereas the Talkietech needs an independent power source for each.

Actually, if you use the supplied power adapter it charges both the phone and a spare battery. If you plug in the USB only, it will charge the phone only

Here's a cradle with extra battery charger AND an extra battery, $15.98 + $23.98 S&H, for a total of $39.96!: http://cgi.ebay.com/For-HTC-TyTN-II-Twin-Slot-Charging-Sync-Cradle-Battery_W0QQitemZ190168080398QQihZ009QQcategoryZ14 6435QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I had a similar cradle for my 8525. The problem was this kind of cradle only has one USB connector on the back so you have to keep switching wires to be able to charge the extra battery when your computer is turned off!

This cradle has two outlets on the back, one for power and the other for the USB. Therefore, the external battery charger willl still charge independent of the PC being turned on. Also, it appears the cradle holds your Tilt/Kaiser very snugly. I have ordered one of these and wil tell you my thoughts when I get it. There is one with and without the extra battery slot available:

Bummer. Finally received my Kigidi cradle from Mobileplanet and the battery slot does not charge the battery. Going to return it. Has anybody else had problems with this cradle for the Kaiser?

Very cheaply made cradle. I had to bend the battery charger contacts to actually fit the battery. If you look down at it while the battery is inserted you can see which ones are off.
