In the Folder ExtROM you shall find the mms client. Install it. It appears that you are not using the auto install through ExtROM..

Thanks,

I installed using the himaupgradeut_noID.exe, this is all new to me and I think I really only got my PPC running again by sheer luck.

How do I install the MMS client? there are no excecutable file in the ExtROM folder.

Isn't a cab file there with name ArcsoftMMS4.2.8.1UPX.cab in the ExtROM folder? It is better if you read the instructions in text file completely..

to upgrade the Radio rom..just follow the instructions that u use to flash a ROM..instead just replace the nk.nbf file with radio nbf...and flash away

Hi,

I am on shekars ROM: 6.1.1a16CS (WM6.1 AKU 1.0) at the moment, And I have noticed browsing through the programs is very slow, when I am scrolling, anybody else noticed this? Also I have noticed programs do load slower.

Is it like this on shekars WM6.0 as I have only tried 6.1?

Is this a problem with the ROM, or is it just that the XDA II's proccessor cant handle it aswell as the newer PDA's.

Thanks,
Kidcash.

On the pda go to Start > Programs > Modem Link
Set the Connection Type to USB and the Access Point Name to your provider address like test.com

Under Modems Tab, Select HTC USB Modem and Press Properties button
Go to the Advanced Tab
*Enter the following string in Extra Initializations Commands: AT+cgdcont=1,"IP","example.com"
Note : where is examle.com write there your serves provider apn name etc
Click Ok
Create a New Connection: Start Menu > Control panel > Network Connections > Create New Connection

thanks c_shekhar for this great ROM. Finally I've got the ROM i needed. I'm just new here. I thought that my xda II will be embarked forever. First ROM i've used was TofClock_HIMA_WM6_AKU.0.7 from helmi_c (thanks to helmi_c & tofclock though), it's also a great stable rom but the problem is that my incoming sms arrives too late especially when my PDA is in stanby (it will only respond when i turn the power button). I don't know why. I tried to reflash 5 times but same thing. Then I tried your WM6.1.1bR16. I was amazed by the speed and new pre loaded programs. It's terrific! The threaded sms was very good, i liked it! The problem is, i can't save the replies with the recipient's info on my saved messages. I have to copy the entire text then paste it as new sms then move it to drafts, them move it again to my saved messages but with no recipient... I'm saving those valueble sms for future reference. Is there a way to save thes sms without the hazzle? I liked the threaded version of WM6.1. With this, I tried to look again for another ROM and I found this. It's perfect! Thanks again c_shekhar. Hope you may find a way to enhance this. More power to you and all of the wizards of xda-developer!

Sorry for my english...

Good day Master C_Shekhar!

my 02 XDAII is now running on your WM6 program, i did what the notepad tell me before installing, but everytime i soft reset my unit... this error appears:
-the file "MemmoryShow" cannot be opened
-the file "PowerTray" cannot be opened
-the file "ScreenRotate cannot be opened
-the file "btdwake" cannot be opened
Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its component cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.

and i cant save a new contact, or iether it is saved but i cant see it on my contact list., the only means to save new contact is to use my Jeyo program.

my unit is cradled on most of the time on my pc which is running on winXP.

aside from that, your program works perfectly, and i love the FTouchFlo program., it is my first time to flash my unit.

tnx for your wonderfull rom master C_Shekhar, Have a good day!

Im tryin to use 2 s/w to make and receive call via BT through my CarPC using XDA2 with this rom and a Widcomm BT stack 3.0.1.901.

The s/w are RRMobile (http://www.alibri.it/RRMobile/RRMobile%20Plugin.htm) and Freefone (http://www.freedrive.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=635).

I'll try to explain the probem despite my poor english!

The scenaries are:
I have AG and SPP connected between the phone and carpc.
When I make a call from XDA2, everything goes perfect and all sounds are correctly routed;
When I answer a call via BT tray icon, everything goes perfect and all sounds are correctly routed;
When I make call using those s/w, everything goes perfect and also all sounds are correctly routed;
But, when I answer a call using those s/w the xda2 stops ringing but the incoming call pop up window (on xda2) remains on screen. It seems only to mute ringing. But no sound nowhere.

1- Is there a specific AT command for WM6 to route the sound when answerin a call? (the command that's been used is ATA)
2- Could it be a registry fault? (if so, how can I try to fix it?)
3- Should I upgrade to WM6.1? or are the problems seems to be related to the bt stack?
4- Any other suggestion?

Thanks in advance,

Alex

Hi
first of all: thanks for providing so many versions of stable and fast ROMs! Great work. After trying your 6.1 version, I had to revert back to this version due to some compatibility issues with some of my application-/user-needs.
There's one issue, though, that hopefully you or someone else can explain or show a way to correct this with this version of your ROM.
For several reasons, I want to save SMS-messages not only on my chip-card, but also locally on my Hima (there's a function in the SMS manager called "copy to phone"). Unfortunately, after a soft-reset, the locally saved messages are gone. I am lacking an explanation, since your ROM is said to be hard- and softreset persistant - am I missing a point there or understanding something wrongly? Is there any way to keep those messages?
I would hate to lose a long history of SMS's (as you all know, SMS-space on the chip-card is very limited...)
Thanks again for all your work!

I'm not very sure what U R asking for, but the RAMDISK is kinda persistent storage since WM5. What I mean is, that the RamDisk is Hard & Soft Reset persistent as long as your battery is good. If your internal backup button cell and the main battery lock switch is in good condition, data will not be lost for about 20min without the main battery.

Hi there.. I'm using this rom about four day right now.. and it looks cool :)

But there is also some wierd stuff but mabey its only my stupid hardware :p

For example:
- When I choose to install something on storage card it doesnt work ;p and when I install it on the 'device' than it works ;p (software works)
- Or when I choose to install something on sorage card or 'ram disk' it install itself on the 'device' anyway ;d
- I can't connect to my internet rooter via BT. It semms to see it but it can't see any services so I can't use internet from it.

Is it only my stupid device? Or someone has the same problems?

Greets!

LOL!

Wrong topic choose ;p
Sorry for all problems ;p
Plese ignore that post...

My bad...

Some programs simply refuse to install anywhere else than in main storage (device). Most programs can be moved to Ramdisk or SD card, see
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=338270

As far as I know the early WM6 ROMs (AKU 7 or earlier) had an issue with their Internet connection. But I never use Internet on my device because it is still to expensive for me.

My solution is simple and free: I download any site that I might want to read for offline reading to my PC, copy these files to PDA SD card, sometimes after shrinking large graphics. You'd be surprised how much of the Internet you can carry with you on some gigabytes of SD. And always instant "connections". I use the webspider Teleport Pro (commercial) but there are several free webspiders that do the trick just fine.
No, it doesn't pick up the latest news, youtube or any other streaming media.
