Does anyone have any strong views on battery usage of the TyTn II please.

I have recently been on holiday with my M700 and went through at least 3 batteries in 8 days just leaving the phone switched on (but switched off at night) and in the end I had to seek out a charger to continue using the device.

I was therefore strongly tempted to upgrade to the TyTn II but notice that a number of reviewers are critical of the battery.

If I do upgrade will I be any better off??

Just take the charger and a travel adaptor.

You won't get 8 days out of any smartphone.

Rough indication: TyTn II can survive for about 2.5 until 3+ days days without accessing data (3G/Wifi) connection.

Thanks for the responses.

I would normally take a charger but if camping this is not possible and despite trying several solar chargers none of them seem to work with the M700 which is very touchy about recharging eg if using satnav in the car even with the car charger plugged in the battery lasts for only about an hour before dieing.

I don't know if this is a particular problem with the M700 or whether devices with mini usb chargers take longer, I certainly had no similar problem with my xda II which would remain fully charged using the satnav in similar conditions.
