There Is Something Not Right About This

Hello every one ..

well .. as every one here .. i dream about having WM6 without getting a new mobile .. cuz i love the design of my mobile ..

you said here that there is no upgrade for imate jam ..

which is OK cuz we all know that it has only 64M of ram ..

but you also said that there is an upgrade for this mobile

which you call ( charmer ) .. well .. my mobile is imate jam 128M of ram .. and it's exactly like the one in the last pic ..

that makes it Charmer >> right ???

then i'm confused .. cuz I've downloaded all the files to upgrade to WM6 .. but it keeps saying .. (Upgrading: Error 224 : Device Not Responding )


so please help ..

Both look the same.. but from what it seems, yours aren't exactly the same as the one shown, because that's a t-mobile.

Anyway, AFAIK, the Charmer has only been released in "T-Mobile MDA compact II" - Germany and UK only. So, chances are, yours is not a Charmer.

To determine that, the easiest way to check is, does your phone comes in WM5? or WM2003? Charmer starts with WM5, so, if yours is in WM2003, it is not a Charmer.

Check your Windows, the system information, check if it is IMAP processor 195MHz (Charmer spec)

Again...

We have 2 versions of HTC Magician. One with 64mb ram (Mda Compact, Imate Jam, Qtek S100) and the other with 128mb ram (Qtek S110, imate jam new). The one you have is imate jam new. But you still have intel xscale bulverde 416mhz.

HTC Charmer has 128mb ram but TI Omap 850, 195mhz processor. Thats why your device IS NOT Charmer!
