You can use the ROMs in the first post as long as your device is not CID locked. if it is CID locked you have to wait untill a CID-unlocker is released which will be soon.!
How can I tell if my Kaiser is CID locked? Heck, I am not even certain what CID locked means....
Thanks.

Right now all Kaisers except MFG phones are CID locked that means you cant flash a rom from AT-T on a Kaiser straight from HTC. We can put any SIM card in we like but cant flash other ROM's or radios at this time.

Maybe a stupid question, but what are MFG phones?

Phones that have HTC's inhouse or test phones that most of us will never have a chance to touch. they are pretty much not locked in anyway. the way are phones should have come from HTC :)

Thanks very much for the explanations. But, what exactly is CID?

so ... what are these guys smoking then ?? :p

They both said they were able to get AT&T ROM on their Kaisers ... and then switched back to HTC original ..etc
could it be that the ones we got are both SIM & CID unlocked already ?? ( SIM unlocked for sure )
I have the latest current ROM ... so there is no need to mess around testing to see if mine is CID unlocked ..etc
seems there are mixed reports everywhere regarding this matter ...
heck ... there was even mixed report from a legit online reviewer ... CNET ... regarding the GPS chipset & which category the Kaiser belongs to ... etc ...

@UnicornKaz: All preproduction devices are SuperCID, can flash any signed rom without problems. Also some CID-Locked devices with early ROM versions had MFG bootloaders on them, so they could switch ROMs only _until_ they flashed a ROM with a non-MFG bootloader on it.

Commands "info 2" and "getdevinfo" in bootloader (through mtty) tell you CID and ModelID of your device.

So. I managed to read enough of the wiki to download the mtty program and to get in to the bootloader.
This is what I see. It is unfortunately (except for the bit about the SD card) meaningless to me.
Cmd>info 2

Cmd5 CMD_TIMEOUT
SD 2.0 LC card
SD Init OK

i guess i'm still a little confused. if we install the CID unlocker at the top of the forum page will this allow us Tilt (ATT) owners to use any SimCard?
is CID unlock the same as SIM unlock?
sorry for the noob question, i didn't find it in the wiki
