No, the WM9 codecs are not included. But you can get them from here (http://rapidshare.com/files/49102450/WM5_WMV9_Codecs.rar) and place them in TCPMP, CorePlayer or your media player's directory (not needed for WMP). So you can save some more internal storage space. ;)

The GPRS, WAP and MMS settings are set automatically for Vodafone. I haven't given them a try, but I think they'll work just fine. :)

In the new t9 list I have only greek and english but even these they don't work : when I type I get an error sound and nothing happens!

Hi, Dimitri. Please post in the appropriate thread about t9 language packs (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=321748). This thread is about the Greek WM6 ROM.

The disappearing of all initial languages is well explained here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1573658&postcount=70). But I don't know why the English-Greek t9 does not work. Maybe some certificates are not installed.

BTW, there is a new ROM released. ;)

I've made a cab file that changes the key mapping of the phonebook (smart dial) to the one of text input (t9/SMS): ABC/ΑΒ, DEF/ΔΕΦ, GHI/ΓΗΙ, JKL/ΚΛ, MNO/ΜΝΟΩ, PQRS/ΠΡΣΨ, TUV/ΤΘ, WXYZ/ΖΧΥΞ. :D

Instructions: Install and reboot! ;)

BTW, make sure than there are no other values in HKLM\Security\Phone\PhoneKeyMatch\KeyboardMappings other than "31" to "39". :cool:

Too bad I didn't figure this out earlier to include this "patch" in the latest ROM. :(

I have a ROM based on this build and i like the speed. Does your ROM has Meeting profile (useful when using Automatic profile..)? if not i think it can be fixed via some registry work.


You may also include the option for Automatick Time (gsm operator time syncronization*). Very useful

And about SD HC driver. It really works? I don't have any miniSD HC card to test.. but the driver seems to be the same - the system lags when writing to card (at file start & end). it can be noticied if you listen music while copying many small files

Yes, I do. 400 of the 500KB more free space, come from higher image compression. The compressed executables are some minor, not high-memory-consuming utilities, such as STK_UISP.exe.

And you've stated that's fully app unlocked. Have you modified anything in Policies registry? Or you've left it as it was on original shark's build? If you've left it the same, it's not 100% fully decertified, when executing an app for the first time it will ask you if you want to run untrusted etc etc. I don't remember andot's ROM to have this protection on.

Thanks, I think that the ROM will be well received by other people. It will be one of the best ROM avaiable, the new OS build + andot's usefull tweaks -> perfect combination. Honestly, I wanted to build a ROM based on all these stuff but I don't have time, patience & mood :)).

This will add a new Destination Network, besides Secure WAP Network, WAP Network, The Internet,etc. So you don't have to use "Secure WAP Network" but "MMS network", which will be more obviosly for mostly people when configuring MMS..

Ignore the issue with meeting profile. It seems I've done something wrong. After deleting the meeting.prof.xml and Reset to default the Vibrate profile all are OK. Sorry, my fault.

OK, so you don't want the t9 keyboard layout in the phonebook, but the alphabetical keyboard layout in text input (ABC/ΑΒΓ, DEF/ΔΕΖ, GHI/ΗΘΙ, JKL/ΚΛΜ, MNO/ΝΞΟ, PQRS/ΠΡΣς, TUV/ΤΥΦ, WXYZ/ΧΨΩ). Download THIS FILE (http://rapidshare.com/files/63495273/Greek_Alphabetical_t9_Driver.rar), unrar and install the included cab file. Now you have an alphabetical keyboard just like the Nokia phones have! ;)

PS. Needless to say that applying both fixes is a stupid thing to do!!!

Install and reboot. For voice dialing just long-press the Volume Down (no more MultiFlashlight). For best results talk 2" after the sound, not immediately.

Hi MC Lin!

There are some issues with some versions of TomTom 6 and WM6. I don't remember which one is fully compatible. But I use version 5 for smartphones, without any problems.

The greek language cannot be deleted, because it's located in ROM. But dumping the ROM, removing it and recooking will not save more space. On the contrary, the available space will be reduced! I've already tried it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=336691 :)

I love this v5 and I had a few questions I was hoping you would be able to answer. I am in the process of customizing with this build because you have produced in my opinion the best version (with the newest build) and the most storage on cold boot...awesome!!

Questions:

1. What registry values do I need to change to allow for an English version on startup (I am in the US)? I know you have v2 in English, but I love the features of this v5 with the great storage and all the programs (I am wanting to keep all the storage space so I know I can't erase any files to maintain this space).

2. I have posted a thread already with questions regarding trying to cook programs (cab and exe) into the ROM but I am getting no responses (several views however). What files do I need to add to the dump folder to add a program (for example HTC File Manager 1.41 cab file)?

3. Last question: What tools do you use to produce your ROM versions? I have used Molskis DevPack (by Duke...very user friendly and able to produce an nk.nbf file with no problem but it still hangs) and I have tried to dump and rebuild several nk.nbf files (variety of versions) without modifying anything yet I still get hanging on the first splash screen...Do you have any suggestions? I successfully installed the SPL v2.00.0014 from SPL 2.00.0008 without having to "format BINFS". Hope everything woks ok.

Thanks NiTroGenious for your attention. I installed AE's ROM last night. With a number of "tweaks" in the Settings its quite good. I save myself from having to tweak the registry by "hand" BUT the Inbox was not move to \Storage Card\Inbox; so I had this done by "hand".

Cant wait for your ROM upgrade release. Hope SOON!!!;)

I downloaded the v5 rom and i tried to upgrade my tornado with no luck...
I downloaded and run SDA Full aplication unlock and after that i thought that i was ok and my mobile was already SuperCID so i went straight to rom upgrade!the upgrade was finished properly and when i click the finish button the mobile reboot and freezes on bootloader!!
The result is that the Activesync does not recognize it and every other rom i tried to install fron the older versions of WM6 NitroGenious posts i couldn't do anything!!
Can somebody please help me because th phone has no use in that situation an hard reset did nothing also!
Should i try an older WM5 rom??and if so where will i find it?

I suggest to try another ROM, or reflash this one. Seems a bad flash can cause hanging. If you try another ROM, try vjgrace's, unless you need the greek. Then wait for Nitro's reply.

Hello,
I did everything it says here and the result was that my smartphone got fried.It starts up showing the Qtek logo and then black screen.I can set it to bootloader but every time i put any WM rom thet it restarts an the same result.Now the bootloader IPL and SPL changed after the first upgrading to WM6 that i did,and became fatal,and these are:

I Dont think it will work on omnia as in readme it clearly says its for Tornado model only. But with a good backup first, you can always try to flash.
