Dear All
I keep looking & serching for a way to make Touch Flo working on our Himalaya.
I hv been tald by several freinds here that processer OMAP is the one 4 Touch Flo
But
I found in this thread for Atom Microprocessor: 32bit Intel XScale PXA272 @ 416MHz
It is working see here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=333513&page=3
and the customization from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=325424
I tryed but the result is black screen
Is there is any explanation why we can not hv it working on Himalaya?
Some screen Captures

" I found out why I got blackscreened.
I disabled SNApi and Certification Enrollment.
Works great now. PS: Totally Incompatible with HTC Home. Do NOT install HTC Home AFTER installing Touchflo, or the moment you attempt to use Home or access the Home themes, it will hang.
Oh well, I intended to uninstall HTC Home anyway. I just found out that having it on tends to prevent WM5torage from running correctly. "
I hope this may help you...

So far the next best thing I found are:
ByKa's flash cube
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=328010
with PocketCM and PocketCM keyboard
http://pocketcm.com/index.php
and I hope Oto One Touch Organiser will soon run on my device as well
http://www.adidap.com/projects/oto
Both ByKa and Quentin from PocketCM are working on image viewers with similar interfaces
Another program that fits this kind of interface quite nicely is Igo navigator. It starts slow on my Hima, but then locks on GPS real fast and creates a perfect log even in areas with no roads. It sometimes does create strange routes, but allows easy manual corrections. This only works good if you know the area.
Any more suggestions?

Yes, I found it too, been watching that thread from the beginning, just 5 days ago, and now already he launched a fully working alpha! Great work. Efrost rules.
Caution, it is still an alpha and does interfere with normal behaviour of other programs, like the ones I mentioned yesterday.

I had no problem to install it ;)
Once installed, the calibration procedure launched, I just had to lauch it 2 times since the first time I didn't calibrate the screen correctly.
Once configured, I tapped on the scrollbar quickly and then play with my finger, and that's all! :)
This is just a habit to take, I confess that the scroll with finger manipulation is a little bit touchy to learn but it works correctly ;)

are u sure u have a PH10B Device
It's an SPV M1000 (aka Qtek 2020)
I just checked on my device, you're right it is a PH10A
This is not an Himalaya?
ather90
12-10-2007, 03:51 PM
see...no wonder it wasent working on our Himas..but Qtek 2020 is a Hima as far as its written on the Main Page of the forum..Do u have WiFi i it..(builtin),if yes then its an Alpine(i think)
Bingoig11
12-10-2007, 03:54 PM
No built in Wifi, I have to use a Wifi SD Card ;)
It's very curious my Hima doesn't behave like others in some cases.
Another example: I'm not able to use HTC Home Customizer, when configured with own icons etc the HTC Home plugin is invisible (but launched since there is a large blank space between the systray and the Audio manager plugin :D

12-10-2007, 04:02 PM
Lolz..:p..maybe its not a Hima or its a mix of Alpine and Hima :p u know .....

Maybe, but it's very strange since I bought my M1000 in the first one :P

Look in the wiki, both ph10a and ph10b are himalaya, there is only a different manufacturer for the LCD as far as known so far. The ph10A should have a darker backlight than the PH10B AFAIK

Tested efrost's Ftouchflo Alpha3 today on my Hima tofclock wm6. It works for me in most programs, scrolling speed and direction is hard to control for me, worst is that it does not work with PocketCM. PocketCM starts but then listens to nothing at all, had to soft reset.

Congeratulation Touch works & the cube
I'm intrigued by the HTC Cube Launcher and after testing out ByKa's great Cube Launcher I was inspired to make as close a port to the HTC Cube Launcher as possible.
Update with Buttons!!!
A Big thanks to everyone who has helped me and others and an especially big thanks to EFROST:D

YouTube Video of Version 0-09: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Du8LQavRt9c
Oh BTW that guy in the funny photo is my brother in law...lolololol....just to clarify....lololol.
You'll need FlashLite 2.1. and the Alpha 4 version of efrosts incredible :FToucFloA4.cab. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334965)
Here is what I've done so far (18-10-07) :
- Implemented 2 menus (Main menu, pics/photo/vids)
- Navigate between menus by sliding finger left and right.
- Opens Full screen now WITH ROTATING ANIMATION!
- Cube rotate animation DONE!
- Close app by swiping finger down WITH ROTATING ANIMATION!
- New Improved README file with install instructions.
- Turning Rotations are customizable except for the closing and opening which are hardcoded in the main swf file...i know I'm sorry...couldn't be stuffed makin you wait longer for buttons...lolol
To do very soon :
- implement an XML config file that can read in contacts and assign contact pics.
- Possibly think of compiling into an exe and learn about distributing it through a cab file.
Decompile my swf if you wish and reuse the code just give me credit where it is due. I'll upload the .fla file when I'm finished.
