 Hi all. This is my first time I ever write in a forum but I have a serious problem with my Herald (HTC P4350). I bought this device to connect to my University Wireless (secured network working under securew2, no wep key only some protocols et.c.).
The problem is that when i connect I can use the network only for 1 min. Then, although that I am still connected i cant get any downloading. This also happens if I try to connect with a different network in my school (we have 2 options ,secured again) but I can only connect for 1 minute again. Although, the device seems connected if I try to turn off and on, the wireless seems crashed. I tried to update from wm5 to wm6 but the same problem exists in both versions. I ve been searching all over the internet the last 2 weeks but there is no solution available. ( please don't tell me to change from best battery to best performance this not the solution).

Many thanx

I have exactly the same problem with the WLAN-Network at my work.
The only solution i found is using "best performance", and i am direktly beside the Wlan antenna, and have the best possible signal.

But i dont have this problem with my WLAN at Home.
Maybe it is a problem with the security of the Network?
For the WLAN at work i am using following WLAN-Settings
Auth: WPA-PSK and as Datasecurity: TKIP.

at Home i am only using WEP (yes. i know WEP is not very secure)
but there it works also with best battery setting!

Thanx for the reply. the thing is that with the WEP i can use internet fine(exept from my Uni which in the Roamnet WEP network my device crashes).
And btw the signal strenght is not a problem when I connect to regular WEP networks at home. Ofc I have set it to best performance just in case...
