Wow, thanks. I've been waiting for Krusell to come out with a case for the TyTN II. I have sent an email to my local vendors right away.

Thanks,
Phil

That's my only worry. I agree they do look like very good cases, but I'd really like a case that protects without making the phone 50% thicker!

Krusell cases are excellent value for money - I've used them for years

I agree. My last phone was the Palm Treo 650 and after removing the phone after having it in my Krussel case for awhile, I was surprised how small my phone felt 'nude'.

Cheers,
Phil

Personally the only thing I miss from my old Jasjam is the Krusell leather case I find it hard to use with the supplied case and always fear dropping it

I have tired to find cool slim cases for my Wizard and Hermes with NO luck. Some of the better leather cases that are thin do not work well as the phone can slide out (when moving fast or coming down stairs) and the uber cool two piece plastic case (this case was cool as you can slide open keyboard without having to open anything - face is always visible too) I found a few months ago was cool until the plastic would no longer keep the phone in the case and would fall right out. Between the Wizard and Hermes, I have owned about 15 cases including the Aluminum cases. All are a bust! I just ordered the Krusell tonight (will ship Next Day Air tomorrow) and will settle for a thicker case in which my phone will NEVER get damaged. I will provide feedback on Wednesday when it arrives..

I am a case freak and have purchased every case under the sun (pouches, Aluminum, two piece snap-on case and many many more) for my Wizard and Hermes in the past. It really surprises me that NO ONE can make a good case that allows the PDA/Phone to be FUNCTIONAL while providing good protection. Today my Krusell arrived. Before purchasing I was mixed on the main flap that covers the entire phone when closed. I like to be able to glance at my phone to see incoming calls, emails and text messages.

Anyway, the case is well made and the phone fits firmly into the case (which means phone will not fall out). I do not like the fact that the clip is placed "high" on the rear of the case. When sitting one must becareful not to break the clip. Running with the phone attached could be an issue as well with the clip placement high. Unforunately you have to unsnap the 2nd smaller flap to slide the phone open for keyboard use. I have dealt with this in the past and will probably be ok with it. Bottom line is the case protects the phone very very well. In the past I have found good functional cases that did not protector or hold the phone well. :( Images are below. Sorry for the poor lighting as I took these at work. I have a photo light at home and will take better images tonight. :D

Thanks for the pics! I was hoping someone would get this case and post some pics. You can't always rely on the sellers pics.

I am a real big fan of the Krusell cases. I think you will be hard pressed to find better made product. Having said that, I just can't warm up to this case. If it was more like the one for the 8525 I would buy it in a second. It fit my "needs" on the 8525 perfect for how I use the phone. Plus I didn't have to lift a single flap to operate it. This one for the Kaiser/Tilt does, and you have to flip open two flaps to use the keyboard.

I guess I will pass on this one. :(

Maybe I need to get the thread, needle and some fine Corinthian leather out and make my own. :D

I agree with you on the functionality (to many flaps).. But for the meantime I will use for protection therefore my search "will" continue.. Your IDEA of making your own case is good. ;) So hard to find a good case for any Phone these days. :(

I do like this one: https://www.noreve.com/product_info.php?products_id=2069

Will give it a shot next week when it ships.....

Has anyone purchased and received the Noreve Kaiser case yet?

Would be interested in seeing how it works. I'm still using my Krusell horizontal pouch that I used with the 8525 and it makes the device easily accessible rather than having to open many things to access the device like the book cases.

I guess you can expose the camera.. I never noticed.. I did not notice that you can pull the rear of the case down to expose the camera and speaker (the magnet is pretty strong). ;)

Try the US site for Noreve. It's "only" $45:

Proporta have got a Kiaser case

http://www.proporta.com/F02/PPF02P05.php?t_id=3721&t_mode=des

One very nice feature is the rigid screen protector. My friend has one of these cases for an older device and swears by it.

Don't suppose anyone has one of these they'd like to comment about it?

here is the 8925 case for $24 + $6 shipping on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150169925484

I'm still using my 8125 case
then i used it with my 8525
now with the 8925

the case is getting loose now but it protects it great
i dropped it a few times and the phone was fine

I like the way it flips up and i store SD adapters in the slots

Does the clear Plastic that holds the keyboard down is it on this Krusell case ?
if so does it separate the keyboard from the phone a little
like this case www.proporta.com/F02/PPF02P05.php?t_id=3721&t_mode=des

I don't like the idea of having anything between the keyboard and the phone
i would think in time it will loosen separate the two and have to much play.

thanks

I, too, would like a review of the noreve case as I returned my rusell case because it was too dang tight! I was so close to getting noreve case from noreveusa.com (its only 45$, not 60+) but I would rather wait for reviews. Thanks in advance!

I finally got a Tilt. I spent a whole day off unlocking and setting it up so I could use it T-Mobile. Quite a chore really to figure out, but I used to flash the heck out of my wizard all the time so I was able to get it done without much drama other than finding the right unlock stuff and getting it done right.

So, you can't walk around with a $540 phone outside a good case, so I bought two right away. the PDAir Aluminum in black, (love those things) and the Krusell. (my third Krusell, first on the MDA, second on a Wing, and now)

I put the Tilt in the Krusell case, and it was quite a tussell. To my horror, when I took it out, one of the slider springs had come loose and is sticking out the back. The plastic keyboard cover was sticking the keyboard, and pushing it up quite a bit when it was closed. I don't know how it happened. Looking at the phone and case, it just doesn't add up. Krusell may have gotten this one too tight.

So I have a two day old broken tilt. It is from ATandT whom I do not do regular business with, and hacked all to hell with Dutty's 6.1 ROM and Jocky's unlock. Way the hell out of warranty, and I bought it from Newegg. So I have to put it back to stock somehow, send it back to Newegg, and probably pay double for shipping.

I am going to email Krusell and see if they will help. I'll let you know how it goes. If anyone has any advice on how to extricate myself from this, I'd appreciate it.

I got a reply back from Cases.com. They were pretty accomodating. I got a nice reply back, and they are going to give me a full refund with free return and partially refund my initial shipping. They have also offered to exchange the case, and recommended Piel Frama, or PDAir. Nice. I don't know what I will do, but at least the Cases.com vendor is willing to do the right thing.

Newegg came through. They are cross shipping a new one. I get free shipping on the return, and they gave me $20 to ship the broke one back. I don't think I can really expect much more. So, what do you guys think? For the case, Piel Frama, PDAir, or refund and get a different design like the Siedo Thin Plastic?

To be honest, I really like the Noreve Case. There is nothing between the keyboard and screen. I would never buy a case that slides something in there simply because there is a lot more "going on in there" especially compared to the 8525 & 8125. Even on the older ones I would be worried about the plastic widening the gap.

Look here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1978834&postcount=8) to see how I dash mount that case!

I think I do like that. I agree about the keyboard plastic. Never had a problem with my Wing, but... and I really like your car setup. Does it stay in there with the bumps and all. I'm mounting mine in a police car. Things get a little bouncy sometimes and I don't like my stuff flying around in the passenger compartment...

When you order the Noreve Case, call them on the phone. They should be able to sell you the Krusell Universal Mount circle thing I use (forgot the exact name) and also a Krusell Belt Clip (see image attached to this post).

The universal Mount Circle will accept the belt clip also. The case locks into the belt clip, the belt clip will lock around the bottom edge of the Circle Mount.

Honestly I think the weight of the tilt is probably enough the keep it in place. I also have my charger cable clipped to itself so if it bounced then the device will be held down by that also.

I have never had a problem with it even trying to jump out as the weight makes it hang at a slight angle so there is a little friction on the mount.

Looks like a Ford Escape from the center dash photos ..

Yep, like I said in the text above the thumbnails, "2007 Ford Escape"...

But Seriously, here is the cost breakdown for my rig:

$ 45 - Noreve Case (From Noreveusa.com, Use "CardMe" (case sensitive) Discount code when checking out to save 10%)
$ 40 - Brodit/Proclip Car Mount (From Proclipusa.com)
$ 10 - Krusell 58124 - Multidapt Slide Swivel Belt Clip & 58117 - Multidapt Vehicle Holder (Round Thing) (From eBay user "Paylessalways")
$ 15 - HTC/OEM Car Charger (From at&t Corp Store with Discount)
$ 20 - External GPS Antenna (From eBay)
====================================
$130 - Total Cost

Knowing that you're happy with the case & car mount for the great Cell Phone/PDA/GPS Unit Lifestyle Device you have, PRICELESS!

Note: If you want a clip that will ratchet at 8 different angles, order Krusell 54116 - Multidapt Ratchet Swivel Kit instead of the slide swivel clip.

You have probably never stood a crown vic on its nose to get from 120 to 10 in about 5 seconds. I like the clip in the circle mount. I think that will be adequate. I might order the ratchet to keep it straight though. I use the PDAir aluminum at work most of the time, in case I get in a fight. Is the brodit mount worth the money and hassel? How hard is it to install? I'm in a new 2007 for probably at least a year so as long as it is fairly easy, it will probably be worth doing. I'd like to be able to yank it out myself though if I have to swap cars.

I just got the Krusell Orbit for my Orange tyTN II, but the cover over the keyboard was so tight, it was extremely difficult to remove the device to put in my cradle. Great quality, but abit disappointing really... :(
