Hello out there,
since WM6 is available for my Qtek 8310 I would like to update to WM6.
After a short look here in the board, I see a couple of threads "Release WM6 .... "...

My question now is; Which release I should take? In other words, which one is the "best" ?

Thanks in advance,

Kesa

You should consider these 2

Andot PEE or HTC Edition

Basically HTC Edition is based on Andot PEE with some HTC themes and stuffs only

please apologize my bad english :D

So the HTC Edition has more stuff ? this one ?http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=321408

If yes... there's written under "removed" "office mobile" and so on... but what if I want office mobile or for instance the windows wireless manager ? :D

office mobile is removed coz you can install it yourself via the cab file into the storage card, saving up space on your main memory, same applies to the remove stuffs

okey understood ;)

Well... If I take the Andot PEE version, I can install by myself the apps I want? - and install the HTC Version's apps too ?

Karhoe's guide to convert a Tornado to WM6 can be found at :

I used this wonderful guide to convert my T-Mobile SDA to WM6 last week and it worked like a champ. Everything went well. I had two minor hick-ups that I was able to resolve with research on this web site. As Karhoe pointed out the Office cab files are included in the "Extras" donwloaded and used at the end of the upgrade process. I'm very pleased with the WM6 upgrade.

Everything seemed to have gone well using andot's WM6 PEE, but after a few hours, my backlight on my phone starts behaving badly. I set the backlight to turn off after 30 seconds, but it will just basically turn itself off after about 5-6 seconds without any type of dimming before turning off.

If I go back to power management and set the backlight time to something else, that setting will stick for about a few hours, and back to the same backlight problems mentioned above.

Anyone else have this? I followed karhoe's tutorial exactly, and everything works well besides the backlight issue.

Thanks.

Just Perform a Hard Reset and everything will be a treat

Exitao, thank you very much. That was exactly the problem I was having and the registry edit seemed to have fixed it.
