READ IT, If you dont, you will spend even more time infront of your computer flashing the official ruu before trying again, why waste time, use 1 min to read and understand.

IF you brick your phone (Brick=the phone can be used as a building brick, or maybe a paperweight? Because you cant start it up.) Its no others fault but your own.
Mainly the reason for bricking a phone is:
1. Not reading the instructions good enough
2. Not following the instructions.
3. Not having a RUU that can unbrick the phone (the official installer with the official rom for your specific phone, with your phones default language. In.ex if yu have a german phone by default, you need a german RUU, if not you will get invalid vendor error)
4. Not reading the instructions good enough..again
5. Not following the instructions...again

If you dont understand after reading CAREFULLY, then dont bother flash your device with this or any other rom.

I also recommend to use the pagepool changer found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=324955
I did nothing to the pagepool, because ppl have different experience with diffrent size on the pagepool, so thats why I leave that up to you
to find the correct pagepool size for your device.

Speechless - followed the directions to the letter, and just successfully installed your rom on my first try. And I must say, it is so much better. works great. flashed fine on my first try. i just made sure to install official RUU and asergs policies.cab before doing the flash.

one question ( i know you aren't providing support but this is for pretty much anyone ):

how do i make it so that when i click the "launch music player" button on the music tab of the htc home app it opens up audio manager. i had no problem with this before but now (even though i have htc audio manager set as default player in biotouch settings) it will open up windows media player.

when using the biotouch cube it opens audio manager fine. so is there a registry entry i can just change quickly? i love the audio manager and use this functionality alot since my mp3 player got stolen a while back.

If you want to have the HTC Audio Manager as your default player you need to reg edit the following:-
Go to HKLM/Software/HTC/Music Plug-in and change music player value from 1 to 2
Then go to programmes and start the HTC audio player and stop it, then go to the music plugin in the HTC home screen and tap on 'launch music player' it should then work, just leave it running in the background.


just to let you guys know i also had to perform a soft reset after this when i finished all the steps to get it to work.

cant help you on that (now) cause I havnt really looked into it, guess there is some settings in registry hklm/software/htc/htchome (paths is just guessing, cant remember them right now) or something like that and try find music settings

The biotouch settings dont affect the launcher in htc home, so that makes no diffrence for you w/e you choose

if you have installed a touch-it rom before, then just follow same procedure, backup...flash official ruu (to get clean base) install aserg....blahblah

First mistake you did: You probably flashed this over the old touch-it?

you could not have followed the steps, cause it say that you should install a official ruu before flashing this rom, and as far as I know there is no RUU for the terra. Thats first mistake
or maybe first mistake is that you dont have the official RUU to unbrick if anything goes wrong?

SO, basicly, im sorry to tell you that your phone is a building brick, or maybe a paper-weight.

Unless you send it in to your provider so that they can fix it.

Or contact Papamopps in this forums to hear if he know any tricks for you

Could it be that you didn't install the official wm6 htc rom first - before upgrading to this (touch it v2) rom? I actually had the pdaviet touch rom installed, so I installed the official htc wm6 rom first, then installed this rom. It worked. Just my two (semi-noob) cents.

well you didnt follow the steps, as I am sure one of the steps is make sure you have an RUU (original flash) to flash your handset with in case you brick it.

You are goign to have to find an XDA Terra original RUU.

yes, If you send it in to a service center, but thats gonna cost you a bit, but probably less then buying a new one. Or wait untill papamopps comes online and see this posts :) maybe he knows more, but im sure he will tell you same thing

Why do they not release a RUU for the Terra,

I was used to the Neo, I could always use that Exe to overwrite the flasher and then I would not get the vendor ID problem. Why is it not possible with the Terra?

I have never used that feature, so I cant give any answers other then I know this has actually been a problem on some official os too (If im not wrong they have a issue like this over at the kaiser? maybe I remember wrong..and since this is a Kaiser port...and if its correct, maybe they have a fix over there :) )

I figured it out. Apparently, there was something the phone didn't like about the way the network wizard setup the connection. Once I went ahead and manually entered all the connection settings, it worked fine. Awesome rom by the way. :-)

Very odd scenario now. . . now, I can't connect to my PC via usb, and when I try to open "USB to PC", it opens for a split second and closes. (Disregard. Apparently, it's a problem with Wisbar Advanced 3 and the cascading start menu. Sorry.)

Guys, I called the o2 support and they say that there is no rom currently for the XDA terra and there is also no annoucement of any coming so it sucks really. I am stuck with a brick in the states where I cannot send it in for repair.

There must be a way to flash it and override the Vendor ID problem isn't there. I can get into the bootloader it's just that I have to somehow flash a new one on there.

Anyone any suggestions?

I was going to install my first modified rom today but if you're planning on releasing the wing specific version soon then I'll just wait since I'm pretty lazy and hate reinstalling :D. I like the features on this release and would rather wait for the latest and greatest.

I did read the instructions, but their were no mention of CID locked phones like in Touch-it 1.1 I got the USPL for the herald, with Touch-it 2.0 there is nothing of that in it!

Can I use the USPL from touch-it 1.1 in touch-it?

dont even think of it, leave it, keep you current os, and wait untill a ruu surface for your device.
dont experiment, it will likly be a 99% chance you brick it. Is it worth it?

I'm not sure if it's the rom or my photo app (resco photo viewer pro), but I can't seem to attach any photos to an email (using generic email app). I tried to send a small pic (65k) using the generic photo viewer, resco's photo viewer pro and file explorer, and from the generic file explorer. Nothing gives and there's no response. Not even through web-mail I can't send a photo (jpeg) which is weird. I can view, edit, and almost everyelse else but it won't allow me to send a picture through email and mms. Am I the only one experiencing this? Any thoughts about what I should do? I was able to send pics with previous rom version.

Did you try flashing 1.1 from the bootloader? your spl should have stayed the same in your attempt to flash 2.0 - so in theory should be possible.

hey man this is what happened to me a few days ago when i made a post about my wing crashing. i ended up just leaving it turned off for about an hour and then i turned it on and it worked fine. and i had been adding entries into the batterystatus tray icons.

on a side note, does anyone know anyway to create an icon for activesync in the batterystatus tray icons? it won't recognize the .lnk shortcut or the actual program....

Only enter to Settings --- Today and change the Htv_default theme and press ok.
Now when you put the Htc_default theme again it starts without the glossy blacn bars.

hey man this version works great for tmob wing that's what i'm using on my wing.

only problem i've come across is the batterystatus tray icon reboot loop but that corrects itself it seems.

all in all a really great rom, can't wait for the next versions.

Been trying Touch-IT 2.0 for a few days and I'm liking it.

But after each time i use the phonefunction i need to hit the on/off button to have it function normally again.

As you might have heard.. my XDA Terra o2 Germany bricked.

I am in the states now so I called the Global warranty support I was told that I can send in my device.
They will flash my rom again. BUt they do not have the o2 rom so what are they going to do?? just flash the General Herald rom on there. That means that they will Kill the ID o2 Lock branding on it. Is this legal

:( Iv'e tryed this build and I felt that was far more stable and usefull than the 1.1beta.

However, after installing my programs and do a few regestry adjustements (wlan settings for exemple), my herald is now on a bootloop and never stop :(

Well, that's no longer working. I'm not able to connect to GPRS at all, and what's even weirder is, when I go into the connection manager, the "Data Connection" is grayed out and I'm unable to select On or Off. In fact, the circles for 'em aren't even there.

when gprs is not active the dataconnection is grayed out in every comm managers, its only activatet when you have a active gprs connection.

when gprs is not active the dataconnection is grayed out in every comm managers, its only activatet when you have a active gprs connection.

Yeah, that's what I tried actually. When I say it's iacting a little funny, sometimes it doesn't seem to find a GPRS connection. . . such as now, but I'll have 4 full bars and when I reboot, it usually reconnects. It's just frustrating me right now, because I can't see any of my work email from home unless I log into our webmail client, and my wife hates when I bring my laptop to bed. lol Oh well, I'll check tomorrow at work. . actually work for T-Mobile in the Command Center, which is kind of like the central operating point for the company's customer service side of things.

Edit. . . This is the error I get by the way, when I try to connect:

I get a Cannot Connect Bubble
And in the bubble it says "The remote party has ended this connection."

Now, what I'm thinking is this. I use Tweaks .net and a setting in there is "GPRS always on" and I'm wondering if I'm connected for a certain amount of time within a certain span of time, if I'm blocked from further usage until I renew a lease or something like that. Any ideas?

am i the only one getting bootloop after enabling tray icons in batterystatus used in touch-it2?



hey man this is what happened to me a few days ago when i made a post about my wing crashing. i ended up just leaving it turned off for about an hour and then i turned it on and it worked fine. and i had been adding entries into the batterystatus tray icons.

on a side note, does anyone know anyway to create an icon for activesync in the batterystatus tray icons? it won't recognize the .lnk shortcut or the actual program....






hey man this version works great for tmob wing that's what i'm using on my wing.

only problem i've come across is the batterystatus tray icon reboot loop but that corrects itself it seems.

all in all a really great rom, can't wait for the next versions.

I don't use batteryStatus... I'll try again the PDAVIET v15 rom with the same applications and settings and see if I have the bootloops like in touch-it 2.

I think it so much faster to change the page pool by editing the OS.nb file.
I've always changed my page pool to 8MB since that's what the HTC Touch uses. Then I would flash the rom.

I've a question for you: how can I use my Herald like HTC Touch?
I've upgraded to this version correctly, setted the Page Pool at 6Mb and setted the touchflo setting in many different way (all!) but on today I can't use the Touch's properties.
Also if I launch the TouchFLO program from related folder....
Where i mistake?
How it's possible doing it?

Thanks for this rom! It works excellent on my dutch HTC without doing anything more than following the instructions. I had the the dutch HTC wm6 rom on it before flashing. I'm looking forward to a dutch version if it ever appears.:D

I'm in South-Africa. And I can never download from Rapidshare, not even talking about Megaupload. To get 1.1 I had to sit here for literally a few hours to get it to download.

Is there any other way of getting this rom?

Please guys. I've finally after I don't know how long gotten rapidshare to not give me "invalid" (once) and it's downloading at 0.6kb/s and then it randomly stopped at 2MB.

Isn't there any other way to get this file? It seems every time I do an action on rapidshare it tells me that I have a different IP, it must be how our ISPs are setup.
