i had the same problem. find a cab on xda for arcsoftmms and install it. then soft reset. after resetting, uninstall the cab you just installed. soft reset again.
now go into your mms settings and set up a new default with the settings you previously used.
It worked for me. Give it a shot. I don't know what the arcsoft installation does that corrected my problem, but it's fixed and working perfectly

i have mine currently set at 585K in the drop down menu.
it's just a registry setting you need to change
HKLM-SOFTWARE-ARCSOFT-ARCSOFT MMS-CONFIG-mm1-96352-
then increase the values for both the WAP1DefaultSize and WAP2DefaultSize

just wanting to make sure i'm understanding, you've already installed and then uninstalled the arcsoft, correct?
If so, then just access the mms setting and configure it with the information that was in the previous post. Once you've done that you should be able to go into your sms messaging and select "new mms" and that should be it

so one second... we have to install and then uninstall the arcsoft one to make this work?
does anyone else think this is a silly way to go about it?
What does the installation do? its probably as simple as changing some registry settings.

Actually there is a registry modification file to fix this without the uninstall staff...i found this in PPCGEEKS

Those are the correct settings -- Connect via "choose alltel wireless" --
MMS should be fine after that. Its the same internet connection as creating your own Sprint connection.

How do you apply this reg edit? clicking on a .reg file opens up RegEdit on the PPC, but alas, it doesn't actually DO anything!
