I have the AT&T Tilt...data connection uses medianet

Is there a way to force browser to use wifi when at a hotspot? Is Medianet the fastest data connection there is?

Normally, if WiFi is powered up and connected, the phone won't use MediaNet. WiFi is fastest I believe.

Ok, heres something very annoying:

I'm connected to my wifi router at home...When I go file explorer and try to browse to my desktop over wifi, I get the following error: "Cannot Connect with current connection...to change your settings, tap settings"

However, if I open IE and then put my desktop address in the window, it browses my desktop right away.

Its almost like its using medianet when i try to browse my desktop from file explorer.

Any ideas???

make sure you have the wifi connection set to connect to "work", and not "the internet"

Ok, that seemed to work...

What exactly does it mean when its set to "work"?

Thanks

work, as in a work network or LAN. you can either use your wifi to connect to the local area network (LAN) or to surf the web. but not both...
