sir, i just bought my kaiser from a friend what i found out that when i soft reset my kaiser there is a message above the htc logo "ui build for testing only!"
does xcpuscalar works in kaiser?
coz i installed xcpuscalar and everytime i use it kaiser always restart.....
still using original rom, not upgraded yet...

sounds like that is just your splash screen. use one of mine in the link below or search around and find one you like and flash it. Hope this helps.:)

Hi,
Trying to run this on my HTC Kaiser, both this version and the fix to the white screen. Everytime I replug in my USB cable it comes up with the "USB Device not recognized popup". If I try and continue, then after the screen where it says "Verifying the information on your PDA phone" it comes up with an error message. It says "Error [260]: Connection".

Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

EDIT: So now I can get it to get to the screen where it tries to update (ie. where the progress bar is with "updating the ROM image on your phone", however it seems to get stuck here at 0%. I can only get to this stage if I unplug and replug pretty much as soon as it says "USB" on the tricolour screen. This is frustrating me no end!

Has anyone managed to make a JumpSPL that works for SPL 1.82.000 yet? All the opther options so far don't work with this version. Seems O2 had the measure of all us XDA Stellar owners!

I've been following the forums for days & searching all over the place but I haven't found anything yet, so apologies if I've missed it. I'm still unable to flash my device & it's really starting to look like the end of the world.

I mean if you can't flash.....what's the meaning of life? :D

Hello byncastro! I also see your name in pinoywindowsmobile. Just want to ask something. I already flashed the HTC rom on my AT&T Tilt so that it will have the video call option in the dialer. It was different when the tilt still had the at&t rom. I used the video call using my smart nokiae90 line and my tilt accepted the call. However, my tilt could not send video image and the screem in the nokiae90 says "Waiting for image" while the line is connected. Any idea how to fix this? Should i change the radio Rom (from current AT&T radio rom 1.27.12.11 to HTC radio?) or do some editing in the registry, etc...of my tilt? Please help. Thanks.

Helpfully, some of Guru here won't give up and we aill get some updated software soon!

I'm coming from a HTC Wizard (Cingular 8125), and should be getting my Tilt within the next few days.. I've been lurking around the Kaiser section for a while, and just had a quick question..

I can use HardSPL regarless of what IPL/SPL my device has? And, there's no different versions of the Tilt, or is there? For example, with the Wizard, there were G3 and G4 models, and I needed to do a bunch of intermediate steps to get my IPL/SPL to what it needed to be to flash certain roms..

I have purchased a ppc phone Kaiser 100 brands AT&T Tilt unblocked, and I have followed your good guide to put it the Italian ROM. To the first step the procedure XDA-Developers HTC Kaiser HardSPL CID Unlocker v1.0 has returned me the error 262.

The device when is put in BL it has this initials:

I have unlocked HTC Kaiser Locked to Orange UK two weeks ago but now i am having a problem. After doing HardSpl..i can see "SPL-1.0 OliPof" if i put my phone into bootloader mode. Now the problem is whenever i want to run KaiserCustomRUU, which is step 1 of sim unlocking the phone, i get the messege before actual installation starts..""Kaiser-simunlocker/step1/kaiser-radio-patched.nbh" i guess the last file is the file patched from the software. When i press ok, It give me a message of "ERROR[238]: FILE READ" "The update utility can not open the requested file. Please Check your Update Utility" I dont know what to do now. I have even took the battery off for like 5 times..restarted my phone so many times. and even tried to do flash_hardspl (One i have explained above) so many times. But i am unable to find the solution. Please help me in this regard.

I know there are some geniuses monitoring this forum. Please help me guide me with the detailed procedure.

Hey Guys,

I have solved the problem of HardSpL. Thts done but now when i run KaiserCustomRUU from step 1 folder, for unlocking, it pops a message "Desktop\kaiser-unlocker\step1\kaiser-radio-patched.nbh" and after when i press ok, it gives an "ERROR 238: FILE READ. The update Utility can not open the requested file. Please check your update utility".

Please some body help me. I really dont understand why i am getting this error as i have successfully done the HardSPL.

SOrry if this question has been answered before, but I have looked everywhere on this site and nothing has turned up. I recently bought a locked AT&T tilt and i want to use it on t-mobile. Of course after I ran through setup, it went straight to the password screen asking for the unlock code. I use windows Vista and when i connect it to the computer it tells me I have to unlock the phone before windows mobile connect works("to connect or synchronize to this PC, please authenticate on your device"). Now is there a way for me to install hardSPL (which would then allow me to run the sim unlock) or just sim unlock it (besides paying for it) from here? i would really appreciate your help!

I tried your HardSPL v1 and failed at the very first step when running SSPL-KAIS.exe from my phone. All I got is a white screen and it stays that way until I hit reset on my phone.

So I have some questions after reading 54 pages of replies to this. And I've searched and read the WIKI and just can't find these answers...

I'm using a ATT Tilt; all official roms and crap.

1) Does running the Hard-SPL erase the memory on the device? (Contacts, files, programs, etc...)

2) Can you brick the phone running the Hard-SPL program?

3) Do you need to have a cooked ROM ready for when the SPL is finished? I watched that dudes YouTube video walk through; and I couldn't tell what he was doing. It looked like he ran a cooked ROM; but I couldn't tell...

4) If you don't have to have a cooked ROM after it's finished, will the phone boot back into the ROM that's already installed on the phone? I couldn't tell from that dudes video; again, no idea what he was doing.

Ok, what I finally had to do was as soon as the screen displays USB (on the PDA), and I mean as soon as it says it, not a few seconds after, quickly pull the cord out and put it in again. Do this as quick as you can. This is what worked for me. Since then, I've gotten HardSPL installed and upgraded to Dutty's ROM and upgraded my radio.

i tried to do this and when i pressed ok on my phone to run the file it said it may mess up my device. i said ok anyway and suddenly my screen went white, froze my internet explorer and the hard spl window. now my phone wont even turn on and i can't even hard reset. i just got the phone today lol. any way to fix this? otherwise im just gonna return it tomorrow and get a new one.

I just ran the Hardspl app and it auto booted my phone and the AT&T crap still came up. Was I supposed to add the new rom in same folder? I just want to verify that hardspl was installed. How can this be done? Everything went well with the process...TIA

put it in bootloader mode
camer+power+soft reset.
hold till you get the 3 color screen.

I am trying to install the orginal HTC-ROM KaiserHTC_GER_1.56.407.3Reconstructed, but I have no success.

I have read a lot of mail and so on, but I does not work.

kaiser-HardSPL.exe does not work, I have the "white screen problem" - so that I have tried JumpSPL1.56-KAIS which brings me in the tri-color-screen. I disconnect and reconnect the USB cable, but if I start KaiserCustomRUU.exe - it sasys that active sync has to be active, this is not the case.

Please help.

I have also tried to install TomTom6, but I get always the info the TT6 is not working on this PPC. Perhaps the Vodafone-ROM is the reason.

I accidentally attempted to HardSPL my Kaiser using the Hermes HardSPL program ("Hard-SPL-V7") -- it failed, and the device seems ok, but do I have anything to worry about? After flashing HardSPL you'll be able to flash any Kaiser ROM to your device!

Hello Guys,

I have been trying to unlock my phone and upgrade to another version since my T-Mobile NL phone has a very odd problem.
When i have the headset connected (listening to music mostly) and i receive a call, the sounds just goes 'poof' and there is no bringing it back without a soft reset...
(a BIG search here and in google just didn't seem to bring any similar errors, i wanted to update the software back then, but went for repair, as it was a new phone)

Funny enough it came back from 'repairs' today with 'something' (they couldn't explain what) replaced... guessed right, same problem!

so i'm gonna guess this is a software probelm and in any case i prefer to have an english version with all the advantages you guys bring for us...

I have attempted to run the program as an administrator, have also changed it to run in XP SP2 compatibility mode, and have tried by copying it directly on to my C: drive... none of the combinations seems to get beyond this point and i receive exactly the same errors...

I am just stuck in this step and am unable to find anything on the thread that points me in a better direction...

I have been reading through several threads and several tools, like the JumpSPL1.56-KAIS (which doesn't do much as my phone remains in bootloader mode just about all the time, and the active sync icon in green)(Seriously looking forward to the see no evil ROM) but


your help will be greatly appreciated!

Edit: I received the phone back from T-Mobile, twice was sent to their 'repair' center and came back with the same problem.
Turns out that i finally managed to upgrade the OS and the Radio, finally with the Radio upgrade the probelm was fixed.
The Radio Version was 1.27.12.32 and now i'm using 1.64.08.21

The installation problem was because of Vista, but with VMWare and XP2 on the same machine everything works.
apparently the files that should be extracted when running any of these programs are NOT, so the files were never found and the installations never even got started.

Hope tis is helpful for the Devs.

i am using windows vista on my laptop and i have tried all day to try and do this and it just does not work at all.

Try this:

- Take out any SD cards
- Hard reset the device
- Activesync it
- HardSPL (if you already haven't. you can confirm it by going into Bootloader screen)
- As long as new SPL is on the device you should be able to go with a new ROM flash.
- As always, hard reset the device immediately after flashing with new ROM

Well I had updated to the new HTC ROM last week and had no problems. I removed SD card and did the 'clear storage' option. After that is when I connect it to ActiveSync and it connects. When trying to do the Kaiser HardSPLv1 and when the command prompt I follow instructions, it says wait for tri-color screen but it just sits at a white screen. Then I just have to remove battery and start back over. Any ideas?

I am also not having any luck with the Hard-SPL. I have tried this multiple times including doing hard resets before I start Hard-SPL. I have a good ActiveSync connection (green icon) and then start kaiser-HardSPL.exe. I hit enter then get a message on the Tilt that says the program is from an unknown publisher, etc. Do you want to continue...blah, blah, blah...and I click Yes. This brings up the KAISER JumpSPL v1.0 screen and I click continue and it goes right to a gray screen and stays there forever. I have to do a soft reset (stylus to the little hole) to recover. I have no SD card installed.

Any help would be appreciated.

After an hour and a half of reading all the 57 pages and zillion times of hard spl install all over again , i finally understood what caused this error.
The usb connection while in a boot loader stage needs to be re-established. my problem was the little screen that pop uped behind the Firefox with the forum and i haven't noticed, that i need to tell the OS that the usb blah blah smth is trusted. once i did it everything worked! i got the message that new hardware is succesfully installed. the hard spl worked perfect and the new ROM afterwards too.
i think this issue should be added to wiki or at least to the first page of this thread. i saw it many times during my reading, believe me this is not so easy to go over aaaaaaallll the pages.

I tried it also to flash to another rom. But at 16% it stops and i dont now why but i cant repair the rom. When i reboot the kaiser phone he comes directly in bootloader mode.
The do nothing anymore, i tried to flash from sd or mtty. Nothing works.
By mtty, i get the error that the command boot is a false command.
So i think my phone is really fuckt up. :-( this is really the firt time in 3 years my phone stops and i cant find solutions on XDA.

For those of you had the phone stuck in bootloader mode after flash with SSPL stopping at 16%, follow these instructions to unbrick your phone:

1. Download mtty.exe
2. Disable activesync (connection settings -> uncheck "allow usb connections")

4. Open mtty, select USB port and click OK.
5. Hit ENTER twice, you should see the "Cmd>" prompt.

I've did the Hard-SPL on my Vario III as well. It all seems to work fine. But after a few days I get the following message:

"The device is unable to boot because either you have turned off the device incorrectly or tried to install an application from untrusted source. Press END to reset your device or press any other button to cancel. This operation will delete all your personal data and restore the device to its factory default settings."

I've created a different thread about this problem but it seems there are not to many with the same problem.

Is it possible that this error has something to do with the Hard SPL?
I've tried Sleuth's 3.0 WM6.1 ROM and XDA Live v1.5 WM6.0 ROM. They both give me the message at some time. I'm able to boot after this message. Sometimes though it shows the start screen you see when you hard reset your device.

I've installed many applications so it might be also because of one of the applications? As we speak I'm trying to use a clean ROM to see if I can reproduce the error.

whad up guys. i have an att tilt. i got my sim unlock code from att and i unlock my phone. now i'm trying to the sim unlock. i have read the forums and do everything it says. when i goes from the tri color screen to the gray screen i see a progress bar with 0% at the end. it never goes up and 2 mins later it say communications error. i have re booted and everything. when i do a hard reset do i have to re-sim unlock my phone to get this cd unlock to work?

so i was planning to try downloading some more roms and downloaded the extreme and lite version of roms but it says make sure you do SPL first ... so i download hardspl v1 but my screen goes white, so i read another thread that says download the 5 attached files and try
jumpspl 1.56 or 1.93 etc. but those files don't work on my pc says its not valid32.exe file etc.
please help me on this, considering i'm a rookie and need some spoon feeding here so that i can upgrade my phone without damaging it and can install great stuff.

yes sure you can install whatever rom you want without hardspl, but before you do, just do a search for bricked and see how many dumb fucks bricked their phones because they did not install hardspl. why the hell do you think we keep telling everyone to install hardspl first? you think its just some big prank which senior members a pulling off just so we can have a laugh at all the noobies doing an unnecessary step? honestly, pls do some more reading before jumping in and flashing your device. it is after all a $700 device (if you dont consider all the operator discounts)

as for your issue, press the end call button or the and tada! you are back at you today screen.....and surprisingly everything else in the phone still works.

now, if at this step you still do not know what to do, ie if you dont even know how to execute a program.......then i suggest you go some reading, the manual, the wiki, or perhaps a pocket pc for beginners website......before you turn your phone into a brick. its either that or go get an iphone.

My first post. I love the forums, helped me alot with my new ATT tilt i got for my birthday. I followed the instructions and got through it all perfectly fine. When the device restarts everything is the same though, nothing has changed. My question is: Is there a way to verify if i installed it properly? I read you need to hold the camera+power and do a soft reset. Ive tried that and all it does is restart the device. Am i doing something wrong? i just want to make sure i flashed it properly before i load a new rom.

yes, that call screen is a real "problem" for ppl who take out their sim card. most ppl solve it by pressing the end call button. however i have heard of some ppl solving this problem by pressing the OK, button, or even pressing the x button at the top right. btw you should post this in the "white screen" thread, so as not to confuse other ppl

did you reset your device, and did it boot into windows? if its still in the bootloader then try flashing with an original shipped rom with the device in the bootloader. if that doesnt work then contact gsleon3

There is some serious errors occuring when I unlock my At&T Tilt using the kaiser-simunlocker. I could install HardSPL and my Tri colour screen shows SPL-1.0 OliPof. but after running KaiserCustomRUU.exe on Step 1 my PDA shows only a blank screen with colour pixels. and when running kaiser-simunlocker.exe it returns Unlock code as ........ (only Dots). My Rom Version 1.62.502.0
ROM Date 01/17/08
Radio Version 1.27.14.09
Protocol Version 22.45.88.07H.

I could roll back to initial stage by running RUU_Kaiser_CINGULAR_WWE_1.62.502.0_radio_sign_22.4 5.88.07_1.27.14.09R2_Ship.exe that is downloaded from HTC site.
But still the SIM LOCK.

OK, I've been trying to HardSPL my AT&T Tilt since midnight last night and gave up around 2 in the morning. Using this file gets me the furthest but it gets me to that dreaded white screen. I've gone to the thread about the white screen, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=354061, and that didn't get me any further. Got all the way through step 6 and ran the KaiserCustomRUU only to get an error, 240 to be exact. Says it can't start the Update Utility and closes. Anyway, using the file on this thread at least gets the phone to do something. What do I need to do to get this thing working so I can get rid of the AT&T ROM?

i'm trying to flash the hard spl to my att tilt and it doesn't seem to be working, i followed the directions verbatim and my comp said that my tilt was no longer connected. i followed the advice from an earlier post to reboot the computer while my phone is still in the bootloader and the computer never found the drivers, does anyone know where i can find the drivers and manually install them on my computer? thanks in advance

Found it. I held down the two soft buttons (about the Explorer logo and mail logo on front of the device) and hit reset witht he stylus....but it just resetted normally... Password screen is still there...

Am I doing this correctly?

you probably are not holding in the reset button with the stylus long enough.

what can i say... I have just hardspl'd my second kaiser (friends) and it went without glitch, flashed him the official HTC Rom too.

I get error message when I try to use hard spl. I get past 3 screen to part that downloads for app 10 min. After about 2 mins error pops up . I remove battery etc. try again same thing keeps happening. Can anyone tell me how to stop this error.

If I restart the device, it starts automatically in bootloader mode but with the SPL-1.56.0000 !

How can I get out of the bootloader mode in order to restart the Hard-SPL v1 installation ?

i just bought Kaiser AT&T in Hong Kong. I think it is has been unlocked since I can put in any sim card.

I followed the instruction shown in this thread and that is what happened:-

1. while flashing the ROM, the progress bar stopped at 18%. A recovery steps was suggested by the RUU software.
2. I followed and the 3 color screen appear, then i tried re-flashing.
3. When I tried re-flashing, the progress bar stucked at 0%. Then, recovery steps come again.

Anyone has a solution for this? please....:( :confused:

press and hold the camera button and then reset to get into bootloader. sspl-kais, wont accurately show your bootloader, it loads a patched bootloader or something like that. if you want to enter bootloader by running a program i think you have to use enterbl.exe

i am having troubles with a at&t tilt.
i have to run the jump spl 1.56 as i get the white screen.

i then get the 3 color screen that says
kais1*0
SPL-1.56.Jump
CPLD-8

i run the customruu.exe to flash the spl and it says this
verifying information on my ppc
then it gives me the option to update

i push update
the screen switches to all white with the process bar.
it stays on 0% for a few minutes then times out.

it says

Error 262 : update error


ive done a few of these phones and never had any problems.

any ideas?

I solved the bootloader issue after a hardreset.
The device simply didnt react to the key combi in any way except for a rebooting...

OK One thing at a time. If you are in bootloader, you won't get an ActiveSync Green icon.

Also by deleting partnerships. Your ActiveSync will delete the contacts from any Partnership that got deleted.

I read that official carrier's ROM contains a SPL. If I flash my Kaiser with one of these ROMs, will they replace Hard-SPL too ?
Or does the "SPL overwrite DISABLED" feature prevents that ? So what happens if the ROM try to flash the SPL with its own and can't because Hard-SPL doesn't allow it ?

Are you using vista..sometimes it doesnt look for a new set of drivers for the Phone when its in tri color mode..try rebooting and leaving the phone in tri color mode...once you do that, start from scratch after it gets all the drivers installed
Hi, I'm trying to put the HTC ROM along with the Touch Flo Cube interface on my Tilt and I lose my Active Sync connection the second the Tri - color screen comes on and I can't get it back without pulling out the battery and starting all over again. How do I get past this? I wound up updating it with the new Tilt ROM but really want the HTC Rom instead. Thanks!

Followed instructions and ended up having to proceed with "White Screen Fix" for Hard SPL. No problems, everything went great.

Step 1 seemed to go as it should. I powered off phone and inserted alternate SIM to find that after initial AT&T screen and 3-G animation my screen just goes black. It seems to still be loading OS as I get keyboard tally as well as unlock code from Step 2?

Any ideas? I'm not optimistic about this one as searching this thread did not show any similar results.....

Can you flash a Kaiser with a Mac?

Yes!

There are 3 different ways of running Windows on your Mac, well, 3 popular ways at least....

1. built in Bootcamp (have not tried this method)
2. Parallels (this program DOES NOT work, so I wont even link to it)
3. VMware Fusion (tested and works!) http://www.vmware.com/landing_pages/fusion2_beta.html

Download and install the trial of VMware Fusion and you can setup a virtual Windows XP machine on your mac!

You will need a copy of XP and the code/license.
You can use an actual CD or an ISO

VMware works to flash roms and upgrade radios.


Parallels does not work.


My job gave me a MacBook Pro so I could learn macs and support them at the college I work at.
The college is deciding to buy licenses for Parallels or VMware fusion.
So I had to install and test both of them on my Mac.
I've seen the question asked so I decided, what the heck, lemme try it.

I tried the newest version of both.
Parallels Desktop 3.0
VMware Fusion 2 Beta

Both installations were exactly the same.
XP Pro SP2
All updates
Office 2003 (Word and Outlook only)
All updates
ActiveSync 4.5

Whatever it is about Parallels though, the USB doesn't flow through the way it should and needs to for our phones.

VMware Fusion though works perfect!


And overall, I'm way more impressed with VMware.


The only reason I have not tried BootCamp is because you have to reboot your Mac into BootCamp.

With VMware and Parallels you are running those virtually inside a window on your Mac within your Mac OS.

With both of them you can click Full Screen and it switches you into full screen Windows mode and you'd think you had a PC laptop vs. a Mac.

Oh and for those that are not familiar with these Virtualization programs, you can run many different types of OS's, not just Windows XP.
and you can make as many as you want.

You load up the program and then select with machine you want to load.
It loads up in a windows.

and again, you can have as many different machines as you want with whatever different type of OS you want.

Great way to play, learn and experiment!

Great way to get the best of both worlds. Mac and PC/Windows.

And I have to say.... I've always been a PC/Windows guy.

But damn the new MacBook Pros are nice and since they are Intel based and can do the virtualization, if you have the money, get a Mac, they kick butt :)

I had no problem at all with my T-Mobile Vario III. Read carefully. You are doing something wrong, unless T-Mobile updated the latest Varios with Dutch Necromancy :D

Hi. I connected my AT&T tilt to the computer va USB and activesync is green. Ran HardSpl, and my phone said would I like to run the program and I said yes. And then the disclaimer came up and I said continue. Then my screen goes white instead of tri-colored and the USB connection is lost. What am I doing wrong? Please help. Thanks.

umm installing hardspl does not stop the phone from recogonizing the sim; hardspl does not cause that.

u can't uninstall hardspl but u can revert to ur original spl. do a search "reverting kaiser to stock spl and rom" should get promising results.

okay, I followed the steps in that link and everything worked out great! Ran the KaiserCustomRUU.exe from the Flash-hardspl.zip and it took about 30 seconds [versus the stated 10 mins on the screen] and got a message that the update/flash has been successful, and the phone rebooted...

Now, do I still have to run Kaiser-HardSPLv1 posted on the first page or is the HARDSPL process finished and I can start installing ANY of the cooked ROMs / OS ??

Nevermind... I checked the Bootloader and looks like I'm good to go!!

For those that wanna confirm if the HardSPL install worked, check it under bootloader [ Press and hold the Camera Button and then, using the stylus, press and the hold the soft reset button... release both the camera and soft reset buttons when you see the Tri-Color aka bootloader screen! ]

Also having a problem. The install went fine but after rebooting I was greeted by several "*** cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."

I also get that message when opening any program that didn't ship originally with the phone. Reinstalling the applications doesn't seem to fix the problem.

I searched all threw this thread and didn't find anything. I'll try flashing to the HTC rom later, which was my reason for installing this in the first place, and see if that doesn't fix it.

Please search for it in the kaiser forum and make sure you read and follow the instructions to the T; rushing through or overlooking minor details (not that i think any of them are) will render your phone useless.

when u plug ur phone does it show usb on bottom or serial?

did u flash hardspl before trying to flash a rom?

1. Yes - it does show USB when the device is on USB and changes into Serial when I unplug it.

2. I don't think I hardlspl before flashing the wrong ROM.
Only used sspl-kais from this site before trying to flash. It stopped at about 17% and that was it.
How bad is it? What's next?

1) okay there is hope
2) yes that is really really bad. I am sorry to say this but if you had done little bit of reading around the site you wouldn't be in this perdicment right now but nonetheless what you need to do is get into bootloader (tricolor screen) and flash your carriers rom. Don't flash any other rom except your carriers... it should clean up everything for you.

it you have a storage card; format it to fat32 and put the file on storage card. than rename file to kaisimg.nbh and go into bootloader it should start automatically or you can download kaisercustomruu.exe and flash the rom onto your device. as long as it says usb on bottom i don't think it matters if active sync works or not.

hmmm....
after soft reset it goes back to tri colour for a second and switches back to loading...
reseted - removed battery - took out storage card - copied kaisercustomruu.exe and kaisimg.nbh to no folder on pc - started - went to progress bar and stopped at 0%... showing update error after 2 minutes...
did than the same but changed the name of .nbh bk to original - no luck - progress bar @ 0% and error 262 - update error...
more ideas needed...

got any ?
now it's a challenge as it's a second day i'm trying to unbrick it...

did u make sure ur storage card was formatted in fat32 format? also i would recommend sending gsleon3 a pm and politely ask for his help and let him know what u have done so far.

i am not an expert on mtty .. just know the basics .. so i don't want to misguide u.

hope u get ur phone working soon .. a hard reset won't help as u have ruunbh errors.

tried to contact gsleon3, but got no reply so far...
i since reformated storage card - i read that some don't take cards over 1gb - mine is 8- dunno...I put only kaisimg.nbh and again only Loading... screen comes up and freezes.
Is it now a question of getting the right carriers ROM with matching CID or is there any way around it ? would pof be of some help ? i know that there is sth that can be done -just dunno where 2 start :(

By grey, could you mean white? If so follow the white screen instuctions by jockyw2001.

I have followed that and all went well and my device has rebooted ok.

The changes I see is that I now see a prompt when I reboot that allows me to boot to normal or safe mode which I did not have before.

And on my main SPB Pocket Plus today screen all the main tabs have a square with a star in them rather than the icon depicting the content?

slight sphinkter twitching here as this is my 'loosing my cherry' re flashing operation!!

done some reading and found gsleon3's guidelines on mtty and rebooted sucesfully!!!

back to stock!!!! :))))
I knew there's a way.

and now back to flashing ;)
and remember noobs - skip the hardspl - otherwise you won't bloody learn anything !!! :)
