How can I install any of the cab files to my tilt on a mac? Even TomTom Home for mac wont recognize that my tilt is plugged in. Someone please help me. With all due respect, however, please dont tell me to get windows/parallels/boot camp. If thats the only way to make this work... then its all good.
haha macs suck :)
unclear: Even TomTom Home for mac wont recognize that my tilt is plugged in.
does this mean the mac cant see the tytn?
Option 1: if can see
anyway open the kaiser on the mac comp
drag and drop the cab file
install it on the phone.
Option 2: if can't see
get a microsd card reader
plug into mac
drag and drop
put it back to phone
install.

All you need is this:
http://www.markspace.com/missingsync_windowsmobile.php
I use Mark / Space for all of my mobile handsets - excluding the iPhone. The application is awesome. In addition to call log syncing, sms archiving, and the usual address book, iCal, iPhoto, and iTunes import / export, it can even install CAB's. If you want to browse your TyTN ii as a drive, the software mounts your phone as a disk as well.
All of this can be done via Wifi, Bluetooth, or USB.

isdereks is right. I purchased it yesterday. Very smooth. My only question (sorry, hope you don't mind if I piggy-back) is how to backup the device? Is there any program to do this? I want to start some reg edits and want to be able to back it up to my mac first (or my whole device just in case...)
thx
Robert

Good questions about a full backup solution. Not sure how to do that on a Mac. As far as registry edits are concerned, won't a full export do?

I've seen another program PocketMac Backup:

Anyone have any experience with this? Price is reasonable.
But, I'm not sure what you mean by a "full export". How do you do that?
