Just wanted to thank you for an excellent piece of software. I just upgraded to your ROM and so far is working perfect. I have a small issue with the battery meter, but I'm sure I can work it out. Also, could be a coincidence, but after upgrading (from the official AT&T ROM) I'm getting over 800 kbps and HSDPA bandwidth.

I have an HTC TyTN that I purchased from HTC 6/06. It's running on AT&T wireless and I'd like to access some of the features in the current ROM, but I can't upgrade due to an "invalid vendor code" error. Any ideas on how I can bypass this error? Thanks.

yes, you can start by spending a little bit of your time reading the wiki.....if that's just too much for you, then just read mrvanx's guides

Okay I have read all 76 pages but i still have a question or two

I have already upgraded to the newest ATT WM6 rom which has the 1.54 radio ,

Now i noticed that there is no radio in Nates rom listed below.

vp3G's WM6 v3.62 AT&T ROM

I have been running this radio for some time now and just noticed that when I am tethered to my laptop with USB and connected to 3G my data connection drops when a call comes in. It will not resume till I hand up the phone.

I was using the latest ATT radio 1.54.07 and I thought that might be the problem so I changed to 1.50.00.00 but still drops data during voice.

Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong here would be greatly appreciated.

on ATT/Cingular in Las Vegas.

EDIT: Just wanted to post the solution to this. If you have it setup to disconnect your data connection after any period of time this will drop your data connection immediately upon using the voice connection. I disabled this and now I can use both simultaneously.

I flashed this rom and its very nice everything works great just one problem i can't seem to connect with the bluetooth in my car it just tells me invalid device any suggestions?

vp3G, I sure hope you're back in the Hermes kitchen again. As an AT&T rep, I honestly recommend your ROM to all of my customers using an 8525. But your cooking needs some new spice man! Don't get me wrong, even after using several other ROMs, I'm still back to yours. But you gotta give us some more spice!

Hopefully things are okay, but I thought I'd speak for those of us that find your ROM useful.

I don't know if this is Spb or ROM related but my battery just died over night. I had flashed vp3G's 3.62.3 ROM and installed the following apps:

1.) Dinasoft MemMaid
2.) Microsoft Voice Command
3.) CoreCodec CorePlayer
4.) Spb Pocket Plus, Spb Mobile Shell 2.0, Spb Backup, Spb Time, Spb Diary, Spb Phone Suite, Spb Insight, Spb Weather, Spb UltimateMax Icon Set
5.) HTC Album
6.) Yes I went a little crazy on the Spb Apps.....

After charging up the phone enough to turn it on, i found that it also had changed to flight mode. Also the phone had performed a scheduled backup at midnight. (Could the auto reboot following the backup be related?)

Note: Battery is 1 Month old. (1500mAh 3.7V)

Did you buy your battery from an AT&T store (genuine OEM) or did you buy it from a non-oem vendor...ebay perhaps....

It could very well be your battery if it's not OEM.... it's kind of a hit or miss from my experience....

Two quick questions:

1. how is this ROM for battery usage? i am using the official ROM with terrible battery life.

2. can i still use voice dialing throughh my BT headset? I was confused by some posts that said you could and others said you could. I do 90% of my dialing via the standard voice dial, either through the headset or the handset. NEVERMIND, used my reading comprehension skills and figured it out :)

That would be great to know, as I'm using Schap's right now and I'm dissatisfied with the battery life, got much better life out of vp3g's ROMs. I would wait to upgrade, however, if there is a WM6.1 ROM forthcoming

I hope there will be a 6.1 :) After trying all of the 6.1's out there I came back to 3pG's. Everything just works!!! also everyone else seems to favor the 3G dial pad IMO I think is total garbage I love the 2g "old" smart dial pad you can use on your roms' This is the #1 feature I look for in a rom. I hope to see a 6.1 soon

I noticed a few weeks ago that I was always connecting to medianet. I have the unlimited plan so i dont care what i connect to, as long as it is the fastest...

I try to connect to GPRS but it will never connect. Does this rom permanently disable GPRS connect so people can get the $20 medianet plan and not worry about it. I believe I heard GPRS is faster and I have noticed it to be slow with medianet, so if I could connect to GPRS I would love to know how...if its faster than medianet.

Also, is there a way to always be connected, so my weather on today screen just always updates? (using SBSH)....thanks in advance.

Im pretty sure there wont since vp3g usually likes to stick to official AT&T releases, and I dont see that happening too soon.

HALLELUJAH! HAAAALLELUJAH! Ha I finally realized why i wasnt acheiving the battery life. :D :D :D Yes thats three smilies happy i am (five won't fit).

I guess I just assumed those were turned off. Seems so silly now. :p

How much battery life do you get two days or few hours. On my Hermes with any rom other than this one I get only few hours with my bluetooth headset. I want to test this rom but can anyone clearly inform what is the battery life with the BT headset on all day (ONLY).

I get about 2 days with bluetooth turned on always and 3G turnd off

Did you hide the Comm Manager on the Today screen? If so, that's probably why.

I am a noob, and I admit it, but how am I suppose to unhide Comm Manager?

I went to the Today setup and could not see Comm Manager

I've got touchflow and cube installed and it seems to work without any problems.

Can you just install touchflo and cube as an app on top of this or does it have to be cooked inside of the rom? If it can be installed I am assuming that I can just find the install files on the site.

ok sorry but i'm totally lost... i turned my phone off and when i plugged it in to charge it the red green and blue screen came on... so i updated the rom from the htc site... the screen still stays on... i DLed this rom, and when i go to install it it gets to 1% and the usb cuts out and i get an error message saying update error.. this is really frustrating, can anyone help me?

hi guys ! I have a Cingular 8525 & I just tried to flash this rom (i had earlier installed hard-spl), but after 15% of update it showed an error and when I reset the device only at&t logo is displayed and phone does not proceed further, tried doing hard reset also but same error, can anyone suggest a way out :confused: :confused:

put the phone in bootloader mode and try to re-flash it. You might want to run hard spl again first.

VP, just curious , are you planning on cooking a version of your rom for the tilt ?

I have both phones now and I keep switching back to the 8525 over the tilt cause of your rom...
