I'm in Thailand and just CANNOT download from rapidshare without paying. Would someone be so kind to upload this to another site so I can download and test it? Thanks in advance.
And thank you Vp3G for another release.
Can you explain the use of the 8 button comm manager in this one, versus the 9 button one in v3.61?Two reasons:
1) It seems AT&T added a button (not even sure which one) within the last release or two. Only button missing now compared to the 9-button is Beam, which I very rarely use anyway. I also like the red outline when they're selected.
2) There are lots of comm managers available and it seems each person has his preference.
I'll make the 9-button available in the Add-Ons for those who prefer it.
Will add a non-RapidShare mirror soon. I much prefer this to be a "controlled" BETA so to anyone else tempted to mirror, please kindly refrain.
EDIT: Mirror added. Thanks chamelion!

I finally got the file to download. Will load it up here in a few.
I like the "beam" button in the comm manager. Makes it easier to turn beam on/off.
Only problem I see with the current 3.61 is that when I click on the data icon on the top of the screen, I get the option to "Turn on WI-FI". This works fine. Once WIFI is ON and I click on the wifi icon on top it still says "Turn on WI-FI" instead of "Turn off WI-FI" and clicking it does nothing.

When are you going to start cooking for the Kaiser/Tilt?
:D
I myself have been a big fan of your Rom's since I came over to XDA looking for WM6 several months ago.. I have decided to upgrade to the Tilt for the internal GPS thats available.. I travel a lot for work and was on the verge of buying a BT GPS next week if the Tilt wasn't released...
I too would like to see you dissect the ATT Tilt ROM and make it worthy when you have time, until then I will have to deal with the ATT bloatware and wasted space..
I will be selling my 8525 sometime next week and I would like to put the official ATT ROM on the device for the buyer because they may want all the other stuff on it that I don't require or use, can you point me in the right direction to download the official ROM?? Thanks!
When are you going to start cooking for the Kaiser/Tilt?Maybe if/when AT&T quits playing around with the Hermes ROM! LOL
I'm quite surprised they're putting so much effort into a phone whose successor is already shipping...

This (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334771) is the newest ROM available for at&t users. It also has the most recent official radio rom. Good luck.

is this a RUU install just like the full at&t rom ?? and is the new radio included as well ??
is this a RUU install just like the full at&t rom ?? and is the new radio included as well ??Must be SuperCID or have Hard-SPL to install. Answer to your radio question is in post #1. :)
I'm going to be running mine with the 1.48 radio for a bit before making the switch to 1.54. Curious how battery life will compare to v3.61.
how do i check if my phone is superCid

vp3G,
I am loving that you are constantly enhancing your ROMs and I love the quality. Curious though... I spend an hour or two to get my speed dial, My Text phrase settings (for e-mails and txt), cursor speed, other settings, etc. up and running after each ROM update. Is there any sort of export/import or way to back up these items?
Thanks again for all your great work!

Just have a quick question. I installed the official 3.62 ROM from At&T last night. When I did however the options to assign buttons to various programs only allowed it for 4 buttons. Example.
Start > Settings > Buttons
When I did this only the first 4 buttons showed up. However my Hermes of course you can assign 5. Has this problem be fixed. In your ROM vp3G?
Thanks in advance.

It's listed on the first page
"PTT button reassignment enabled (via Sleuth255's PTTFix for WM6)"
This allows you to reassign the ptt button. It was working in his 3.61 as well.

Im on a norwegian carrier called netcom, what rom should i use?
Ohh so this rom is only for at&t users... thank god i did not try to install it then was just about to.You could still use this ROM, but you'd need to either cancel the customizations or reset the data connection settings, etc. to suit your carrier afterward...

Have installed this rom twice now. Each time doing a hard reset because of missing apps that should have been installed via the ext rom. To resolve the issue i unhid the extended rom and manually installed. This isn't the first time this has happend with my herm100 so it's not specifically your rom. Just thought i'd let you know. so far it's running great. thanks.

The only one you can get to work on this rom - "post" build - is the three cab solution from jasjamming and as mentioned on FuN_Key_s thread it is not a reliable method. I appreciate that AT&T users don't have much use for it but I really like your roms and it would be fairly easy to disable if you dont need it. The best way is to add it in the build but I don't have enough experience to do it. I understand if you would rather not include it but I would be very happy if you decided to add it. I like the way your apps are removable so the user has a choice of what to keep. This also keeps HTC Home out of the Windows directory which in turn speeds up the rom. Please consider the dialer as this would be a perfect rom for me and many others with video call requirements.
PS excellent work as it is.
Cheers

When you first run HTCustom the option to disable them is automatically checked so if u dont uncheck it on the first reset it'll remove them without your doing.

Ok, i got something thats not workin...the blue dot-tab button combo to get to the symbol pad doesnt work; it does nothing.
If you do blue dot-space, it comes up. Which is all fine, but normally that combo is a short cut for symbols.
For example, if you put an apostrophe in, then hold the blue dot and press space, it cycles thru a few symbols (3rd one is quote marks).
I know this works in other ROMs, including 3.61.

would you consider changing the look of your roms when you update to new build ?
in my opinion makes it feel like a total new rom built?
good evening bro vpg3

I treat each new ROM as a refinement of the last and I think it's about as good as it's going to get for Hermes.
If totally different is what you seek you're not going to get it with me, but there's always plenty of other ROMs to choose from.

This is all in text messaging, if that changes anything.
Right now dot-space is NOT doing its function, its doing dot-tab's function, and therefore will not do its correct one.
I just checked, and it does the same thing in notes.
Ill try reflashing and see if it fixes itself.
EDIT: Ok after a fresh flash all works fine. So i will just have to reinstall everything one at a time and see if i cant find the culprit.
vp3G,
Would it be possible for you to include the "setacousticparam" in this new 3.62.... It's does seem to work fairly well..... and makes the phone a little more appealing......
I was wondering, if it's no longer being used or used differently so that it is not really effective???? I seem to recall there were older WM5 roms that had better volume in them....... possible due to it being included there....
Anyway, I have been using your 3.61 with it included.... I have noticed some strange behavior, but not sure if it's due to the setacousticparam or an update to radio 1.54.07.00..... the rom has always seem to load slowly.... but even more so after upgrading the radio...... any ideas??????
I have reflased the rom & radio, with marginally better results.....
Thanks, and keep up the fantastice work,
vpu2....OUT!!!!

Anyone have this 30 seconds difference between clock on today screen and at task bar?

VP's rom rocks! The only thing is, I updated the phone rom from 148 to the new 154 and I'm having problems with that. I'm getting 4 full bars, but people are telling me that I'm breaking up on my phone calls.
This new 3.62 rom is faster on my phone then 3.61. I'm keeping this build and I think I'm going back to phone 148. That's been the best for me so far in Tampa FL.
:)

Known issue. I believe it has something to do with who is using what API to get the time clock tick. That's why I hide the taskbar clock by default. :)
So, removing the comm manager from your today screen is known to slow things down? Is this documented somewhere? Is this true of all roms, or just this one?
Yes, it's documented in 3.61; haven't added it to the known issues for 3.62 yet but it still applies. All recent ROMs have the issue and it was it's right or maybe cyphol that came up with the fix.

Haven't had to hex edit the build numbers since v3.0, so there's versions of BBC that will work. Check the v3.60 and v3.61 threads... I know there's been some BBC-related discussion there.

So now I can reset and reset and everyone is still hanging out in Favorite People. Maybe my cat is messing with it while I'm not watching. Anyhow, it is definately making a liar out of me now.
BTW, I may be dreaming this up, too, but 3.62 seems to run quicker than 3.61. Battery life has been excellent and, if anyone cares, the 1.54.07.00 radio is working very well here in San Francsico.

I flashed this rom and it's great. I also flashed my phone with the Radio 1.54.07.00. I din't see much difference with this radio. I am in Edge area and I tested the speed using http://www.dslreports.com/mspeed using 100K file. The result is 15 kbit/sec. Very slow. Is it because of the ROM or the Radio? Is there any better radio for ATT 8525 other than 1.48.00.00? I am in Albany, NY Area.

Well the Official version of this ROM comes with 1.54.07.00, so try that one (it is different than 1.54.00.10, tho I dont know if performance varies.)
Omcorrie... you gotta get off those gummy bears :) I think he is saying he did try that one ....moving from 1.48.00 ... as for myself -- having loaded 1.54.07.00 a few hours ago along with vp3G's v3.62 -- -- Too early to tell about the Radio Rom for the Atlanta Area for sure -- but it has performed nicely from my home west of town -- edge signal out here:eek: -- however about 30 min call and phone did not seem to get as warm as I found using 1.48.00 ... checking to see if my battery life improves!

OH man haha THIS is the post i meant to quote. :p My bad.

Ok vp i found what was doing it. When i run Schap's Adv Config, the default keyboard setup is "Chinese." If I change it to "Cingular" then thats when the dot-tab gets all messed up.
Anyone wanna confirm this? Or is it a known problem? I dont think ive seen it happen before this ROM...

Hello all,
I updated to 3.62 and since have had problems with WIFI. At first i noticed that it would not connect to my home network. After playing around with it, i found that if I broadcast my SSID, everything is ok. with wm5 SSID broadcast was not an issue. I am concerned because i will mostly be around non broadcasted networks.
Has anyone seen this before.
Also, THANK YOU vp for a great rom! Everything else is working better than before :)
Anyone using Batti? The reason I ask is because I suspect this program makes my phone freeze after a few hours of using it...The today screen seems to work fine, but Batti's bar on top shows solid color (it should show percent lines) and clicking on anything will completely freeze the phone, oh and during that time no alarm goes off...
So, I removed it and shall see in next 24 hours if its defenetly Batti that does it.
Just wondering if anyone actualy using it without problem though.

First I'd like to say that IMHO this rom is top notch. The only issues I have encountered (which may be specific to my phone) is that the keyboard backlight sensor does not seem to be working. No matter the lighting conditions the keyboard lights up.
I have tried enabling/disabling the feature with not change. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
Thanks again vp3G!

Known issue. I believe it has something to do with who is using what API to get the time clock tick. That's why I hide the taskbar clock by default. :)
I found the Resolution to the BB Connect issue You will need to edit your AKU from 0.4.4 to 0.3.1 the reg key is the following:

Two reasons:
1) It seems AT&T added a button (not even sure which one) within the last release or two. Only button missing now compared to the 9-button is Beam, which I very rarely use anyway. I also like the red outline when they're selected.
2) There are lots of comm managers available and it seems each person has his preference.
I'll make the 9-button available in the Add-Ons for those who prefer it.
I love this build but would really like the 9 or even 10 button com manager. Where can I find the cab for the 8, 9, and 10 button com managers so that I can try the diff ones and figure out which works best for me.
Great work on this one vp3G!!

I had the same issue when I used Schaps Adv Config on a different rom (I think Dutty's). I don't think his config the correct reg edit for the 8525...I had to manually set HKLM/software/oem/qwerty/layout to 263177. When I went back into the config tool it had reverted to "Chinese", but it worked. Maybe he had Chinese and Cingular switched around with that build.

Is no one else seeing any issues with Wifi on vp3g's 3.62? I have searched and searched, and cannot find anything. I may have missed something, so please forgive if I overlooked a post somewhere.
The issue I am having is that it seems that the Wifi strength has degraded. Also, I cannot connect to a network that does not have its SSID Broadcasted.
Any advise is very much appreciated.

If you are running a radio version < 1.48, I'd start there.
So I was running 140 so that needed to be upgraded for sure. I went to 1.54.07.00 and that was no good. I then thought i would put the same as you and I now stand at 148.00 but still my connection is worse than ever. dslreports.com is showing me at 34 Kb WM5 in the same area was getting me 800 Kb steadily
My info is as follows
ATT 8525
ROM v. vp3G 3.62.0
ROM date 10/03/07
Radio v. 1.48.00.00
Protocol v. 32.81.7020.20W
Edit:
My connection is as follows
Name: MEdia Net
Number: blank
modem: Cellular Line (GPRS, 3G)
Access point name: wap.cingular
This is pretty sad because except for the connection everything is great... better than that actually I am faster, more battery, tremendous interface. Just 34 Kb though....
@kako5150: That's a very strange one. How long since you've had WM5 on that thing? Unfortunately the only suggestion I can offer is to revert to WM5 and at least verify whether it may be something with the carrier and/or your account (or maybe the phone itself).

Yeah...... about that I didn't see enough of a reason/upgrade to go haggle with att people about the 2 year discount to get a phone that has GPS and more RAM. especially since none of the apps i run, slingbox being the biggest, run slow. That and i do love this phone especially with you in the kitchen. I will reflash to WM5 when i get home for comparison although i think reflashing yours after my radio upgrade might do it. Any idea where i can find the officiall ATT WM5 ROM?

Hey VP3G, I just wanted to tell what a great job you've been doing with these leaked AT&T ROMs. This might be the only way that 8525 owners will ever get WM6. I wouldn't put it past AT&T to change their minds about an official release. Appreciate the hard work, man.

This ROM is working great. I am using 1.54.07.00 radio. The signal is very low and not able to connect to Edge it keeps saying "The answering Modem has been disconnected". I never had this problem with 1.48.00.00 but this rom (1.54.07.00) is working fine with full signals at my work with no issue in connecting to Edge. My work place is about 8 miles. Still planning to keep this ROM for some more time as this is new rom from ATT.
Does ATT push any updated list of towers to my phone if I call them? I mean Preferred Roaming List (PRL).
Thanks

I, too, had no problems for the longest time until one time it stuck on the WM splash, so I soft reset and it stuck on the very first splash, so i SR again and it did a partial HR...It did the * thing again, and had removed most settings and programs, but some were still there...and it deleted some of the things off my storage card, including my backup! Anyways, now i disable only the battery icon via Schaps Adv Config and keep a copy of a backup on my pc too.

I recommend accessing the bootloader (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_BootLoader), checking your device for bad blocks and attempting to fix them if there are any. Pertinent commands are 'info 8' and 'task 2a' (must have Hard-SPL installed).
I was wonderin why there isnt windows media player on the today screen like alot of the wm6 phones have? is there any way to get this?Gee, I dunno... maybe because the HTC Home Plug-In takes up 1/2 the screen and has an audio tab that can be configured for WMP or Audio Manager?
The plug-in you're referring to is probably the older HTC Music Plug-In 1.0, which is available in the Add-Ons RAR...

Had similar issue. I returned the phone since it was still under waranty. If you put your phone in a plastic bag and then in the freezer for three minutes, you will be able to turn it on without the white screen and run it just enough time to flash to factory ATT or Cingular ( factory) rom. then return the phone if it is under waranty.
I researched this issue extensivly, and found no good solution. The phone must have been dropped or sat on. ATT will take the phone back and exchange it as long as you have the original ATT rom. If it has cooked rom they might charge you for the exchanged phone. Call 800-801-1101, and try to return it.

Just update to Vp3G 3.62 and loving it. However, I did run across 2 weird issues.
New Contact:
I tried adding a new contact (non-SIM contact) and it does not appear in my list of contacts. To get around this, I add a new SIM contact and then create the identical entry as a non-SIM contact. I'm forced to display both SIM and non-SIM contacts in order to readily add contacts. Is there a way around this?
HTC Audio Player on HTC Home:
From the HTC Audio Player tab I am not able to d-pad up to the player on the today page to pause/play, rewiind, and forward. Anyone else experiencing this problem?
Kaiser Dialer:
I am not able to see the list of recent calls. In order to do so I need to d-pad up in order to see my call history. I've already removed Sleuth255 PTTFix, installed VP3G reassing PTT cab, and did a soft reset. Any way to view the call history on the dialer?

First, a huge thank you to those of you putting in so much work on these HTC phones (VP3G) and making it available to idiots like me...
I've been reading the wiki...tons of information. Reading these posts...tons of information. This has to be the best phone community out there...and I only discovered it yesterday.
If you don't mind, a 'noob' question...
For those of you in the know, would you recommend this version for a first timer with an ATT 8525? If not, please suggest an alternate rom. I having trouble deciphering which rom is 'best'. I'm looking for lots of features...and to the extent possible, and idiot proof upgrade process that keeps my phone a phone, and not an expensive paperweight (brick).
Thanks again.

Haven't experienced that problem myself, but then again I don't add many contacts from my phone.
HTC Audio Player on HTC Home:
From the HTC Audio Player tab I am not able to d-pad up to the player on the today page to pause/play, rewiind, and forward. Anyone else experiencing this problem?
I've never known that to work (but wish it did....)
AFAIK with that dialer that's the only way to get the call history. You can't get the "old" Smart Dialing you described with anything but the stock dialer.

Hey vp3G, Thought I would update you. My radio looks like it just needed some time to get going. So although I am not on 3G as much as i was I still get pretty decent speed 490 Kb. So I have had little to no issues with the ROM. It appears for me to be rock solid and I have noticed at least a 30% increase in battery time vs. ATT WM5 stock. Not to mention a huge performance upgrade.
I had at one time a notification that was an english girl telling I had mail. Did this come from your ROM? and why can't i track it down

Hi!
First of all, thanks for this nicely packed ROM ;)
Secondly, I am having problems with Java apps (I have installed the Tao suite). I install a new app (Gmail or OperaMini4 Beta2) and when I am back to the Midlet Manager, those apps are no where to be found. Is this just me or does anybody experienced the same behavior?
Thanks!!

My head is spinning. We need a sticky and spreadsheet to differentiate the various VPG Versions.
Didn't one of your ROMs have a 12 button Comm Manager, with the ablity to turn off 3g? I don't have 3g where I am, but was in Florida this weekend where they had it. The battery depleted in no time at all (which was huge problem since I hadn't brought my charger) and my phone suddenly had difficulty finding a regular GPRS connection. So I had no internet and soon no juice for even phone.
Everything is fine since I am back home, but since I will be doing a lot of traveling soon, I'd like to be able to turn off the 3g

You have to go into the task manager and make sure the comm manager is killed before you install a new comm manager. I had the same problem you had until I killed the running comm manager first.
and... Where can I find the .cab to install touchflow onto this ROM. I just learned about it and it seems handy.

DO NOT hide Comm Manager icon on today screen (otherwise boot hangs will occur!)
from my experience, slide the keyboard out when reboot/reset to put it in landscape mode and it won't hang.

Thanks, guys for all the info on the various Comm Mgr options. I've installed Schaps 10 button and it seems to do the trick (I'll test it for real next week when I'm on the road again).
Now, if someone can just tell me, in the Kaiser Dialer what the heck is purpose/function of the left pointing arrow at the very top of the button stack, above the call history button? Whenever I press it, all it get is a beep and nothing else happens.

First to vp3g -- you are a god damned genius!
I love that things are installed via cabs, so I can get rid of what I don't like. Not saying that your choices arent fine, but I prefer SPB Phone suite and Mobile shell over the HTC home -- only because I can set profiles to a specific time.
Anyhow -- the <-- button is a "backspace" kinda key if your dialing and misdial, you can hit it.

Again, great job vp3G. Definitely an improvement over the previous 3.61. I love the new X-button!
However, I still have a MASSIVE memory leak. I notice that if I just launch/close apps, the memory decreases. Eventually, it will hang - sometimes after a day sometimes after several days (depends on how much I use the phone I guess).
Is this "normal"? If you reboot, then open an app, check memory, then close (really close) does the memory return to where it started?
I left the phone plugged into my computer to charge the battery and sync. When I came back to it in the morning, it was hung. Display shows a "low memory" screen asking if I can close some apps to free memory. Unfortunately, the thing is hung and req a hard reboot (pen in the hole).
Am I the only one having this issue?

VP - great job on 3.62/1.54.07. Steady as a rock, fast, no hangs, slight improvement in 3G coverage and battery life, but...
Could not get Wi-Fi to turn off, and could not get BT to sync with ANYTHING. I was frustrated in the extreme - especially since I was trying to make calls via a hands free BT (Jabra BT 500) on the road. Road rage was in the cards. I was not thinking pleasant thoughts about your IQ, character, father's sperm count, or your Pay Pal account.
Alas, on slower reflection, I realized that on the Comm Mgr, the BT and Wi-Fi buttons are reversed between 3.61 and 3.62 and I did not pay attention. So, I have revised my previously scandalous thoughts about your Martian or Jovian ancestry and, sigh, assigned them to me.
Keep up the good work.

So I'm running 3.62 and just love it. One problem I have is with IE. I can't seem to get to any sites via IE. I always get the error "The page cannot be displayed or downloaded because the connection was lost. Check the connection and try again later."
Now, I have both Opera and Netfront installed. They both work fine. I have Opera set as default brower but still when I click on a http link in a SMS msg then it opens in IE and NOT Opera.
Anyone has any suggestion on either how to totally remove IE or at the very least get it working?

I can only tell you I have been running this ROM for about 4 or 5 days and it has not hosed up on me yet... Would not say I was a power user, but I get what I need from it ....cabs installed = wififofum, total commander, google maps, Tao_intent , MS Voip, SipConfigtool 201, MyCalculatorPPC and schaps kaiser comm mgr ...maybe a couple of other thing I can't think of. And since I have finally discovered turning off 3G when not needed(most of the time) extended my battery life A LOT!! 30% used in 12hrs with about 1.5 hrs phone uses - a few emails and mms msgs and BT full time! Using GSM in the Atlanta area I tested(100k) with DSLreports @ 190k/sec and that's good enough for google maps ...so the 3G stays off unless I surf... I LOVE THIS PHONE :D

Loving this build. A couple tweaks: When connected to bluetooth the bluetooth icon repalces the Comm Manger icon, it would be nice if that BT icon (on the home screen) could somehow reflect that you have an active a connection (maybe light it up?) and the battery icon does not reflect any change through out the day (more or less juice)

First of all, I'd like to say nice work vp!
I have a couple of problems that I didn't see in your previous releases. My first problem is the backlight timeout period. By default, it is set to 10 sec. I try to change it to 1 minute. It works for a few minutes, then when I check it again, it is back to 10 seconds. The second problem I have is when I open my email that I sync thru ActiveSync, the send/receive option in the menu is greyed out.
Could you point me in the correct direction to solve these two problems?

Only one issue I'm dealing with: Since loading this ROM, my backlight settings always revert to default (2m/5m) after a soft reboot.I'm not able to reproduce it. Only thought is that the change may not be getting committed to the registry if you're resetting immediately. Either wait awhile (> 5 min.) or power down to force the commit.

Checked your timezone settings in outlook and your phone. I travel a lot and when I change timezones it messes them up. I wish there was a way to disable it. I can't figure it out though bet 3g can (hint hint) anyway what I do is go to the clock settings and change the local time back or forword then change my visiting time to what ever time zone I'm in. this is really noticabe wi PI, maybe the clock at you cell tower is set for the wrong time zone or something...

Set your WLAN card for "The Internet" instead of "Work".
Tried that, but that doesn't work either. thanks for the reply.

Yes, I'm having the same problem - when traveling in different time zones, my appointments in Calendar change times. I'm sorry that others are having this problem. Is there a way to keep the appointments from changing times?
Otherwise, I love the ROM (v3.60)
Thanks,
Ira

I dont know if they can ever be SOLVED, but this ROM does not seem to have much of one in my experiences.
On another topic, im not sure if this is a ROM issue or what, but I can send objects to laptops via bluetooth, but when i try to go the opposite direction the laptop will say "device does not have necessary services" or something to that effect. Mac and PC alike.
Any ideas?

Very stable release thanks!
One minor thing: using 1.54.07 or 1.54.0, it drains my battery within 12 hours.
I need to switch to another radio rom, any suggestions?

Onlay way to make this happen is to not to change the time in your ppc. I know how to do that in Cingular 8525. here is the steps:
Start -> Settings -> Phone
Select [Time Zones] tab
Uncheck [Automatic Change Time Zone and Clock]
This should do it. Just use your watch for time tracking :)

vp - terrific ROM, as always.
Anyone else's time zone change at will? i was looking at a day's worth of appointments all shifted an hour and then checked my time and found myself on mountain time (i'm on the west coast). so i switched it to pacific. then a couple days later the same thing happened.
anyone ever see the phenomenon before? weird, man.

Great ROM once again Vp3G. Seems faster than 3.61 to me too.
@AximMarkSD - I'm seeing the same problem. Every SR resets my time zone to Central from Mountain for no apparent reason.
Anybody else seeing this?

Just a quick question.
How did you make VP3g 3.62 have a 12mb pp. I think I remember an application out there that allowed you to change the pp but I am not sure about that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

vp - I just had to say I've been running 3.60.2 for about a month now, and it's just the slickest damn thing I've ever seen. Faster, more stable, more memory, never have to soft reset; I could not be happier.
And for those who aren't using it, PocketCM is the greatest contact program I've seen. so damn easy.
vp3G,
Would it be possible for you to release a version of vp3G 3.62 with the SetAcousticParameters cooked in like you did in 3.61, the sound does have more volume..... something that is highly needed when on the street, in a slight noiser environment that being in a "library".........
Thanks in advance,
vpu2....OUT!!!!

vp3G,
I have been using the your ROM since last night. Hoooray! First timer for Flashing non-official ROMS. I like it. My problems are the library for WMP saying that the storage card is protected (which it isnt) and HSDPA being very unpredictable in an area where I know I consistantly get 700-800 (never failing). With HTCustom HSDPA turned on I very rarely get over 300. If you could help me out I would greatly appreciate it. I love the amount of space that is open on this ROM. Great Job.
Thanks in advance,
SkoT
Update... I figured out the WMP problem. I forgot about the show all files and the msmetadata file that has to be deleted. Can someone explain that to me? The HSDPA issue is still there. It is blowing my mind.

Check this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=323269) for an easy PP changer for any ROM. You will have to reflash tho.

The .rar file can be opened with a program called WinRaR, google for that program.
Inside the .rar are the .cab files, you transfer these to your phone then you install by clicking on them.

It is a problem if you have the phone automatically change based on time zone. Uncheck this option. Start > Settings> Phone > Time-Zone tab.
This use to happen to me but since I made the above change, the time or time zone doesn't change unless I make it change.

Mcorrie1121,
I used the official ATT ROM before this one with the newest radio. I didnt change it with the vp3G ROM. Left it the same 1.54.07. This radio was working great before this ROM. Is it possible that it just doesnt work well with this ROM?
Thanks

When i transfer the extracted files to a folder on the phone, there is a setup.xml file that opens script up in IE, which sits there forever and hangs while it is loading? the others won't open at all, saying I need to install the program first. What am I doing wrong? am I supposed to be opening the .xml file with another program? All help is appreciated.
