Active Sync Error 608
Try this to solve the problem:

I solved cause my Windows Firewall was damaged and not customizable, then i found a reg file to solve this problem, installed on pc and reboot. On startup i saw the window of Win Firewall who asked me to unlock Activesync i said yes and turn off the firewall

I have a ethernet router with DHCP enabled

Then i configured the phone:

-Enabled Advanced Netword Function
-Go on Setup, Wi-Fi, Network, Remote HOST- NDIS
-Select the Specific IP Address like this:
IP Add: 169.254.2.1
Sub Mask: 255.255.0.0
Gateway: 169.254.2.2
and on the other page put only on the first DNS: 169.254.2.1

on the pc lan connection i leave the dhcp enabled "Obtain IP Address from serv" also for DNS (obviously cause i have the DHCP enabled on my router)

And MAGICLY all start works FINE!!!:D

After hours and hours spent on configurations, the problem was "simply" the windows firewall, but also the configuration of Remote Host-NDIS is important

All works good but....

I've again the ActiveSync error (Remote Access error 608) i had it on the 5.x version and i had to came back to 4.0 from a friend pc with some tricks...(with udK 4.0, activesync works great)

now i've the same problem and i really don't know what to do, i finished now to reinstall all things, contacts etc. :(

i have the error with or without Advanced Connection Function
please help me! i don't want to get back to 4.0 :( :( :(

Hi UDK... really a good job... the installation, the setting and other things went really well... just one question:
usually I manage to unhhide the Extended_rom, by modifing the settings in the registry... BTW this time I did the modification but I cannot see the Extended_rom... is this due to the Big storage of this rom? In the sense that, in order to obtain a Big storage, do you use the extended_rom space?

I'm :eek: :eek: with the speed of this ROM...

I tested all ROM's in the past 3 months and so far this is the fastest ever.

Just 1 example, when you go to settings and change the tabs in the bottom, it change instantaneously. WOW

If the ROM didn't have the HTC HOME(I don't like use it:rolleyes:), it was a 100% ROM.

Hi I get this down.. the weather does not get update with T-Mobile USA however is I use the wireless connection it does get updated. This happens to most of the roms I have tried but it works fine with Bepe's and lasagna one.

that is correct but the error is not related to the active sync :) since I am using this one already and it works fine with udK rom but not with Lasagna.

The voice call works when you push for 3-4 seconds the button of the wired headphone but doesn't work with bluetooth headset. With the bluetooth you can reply only the last call. Is it this a bug and can we fix it in some way?

There is to put a registry key in Windows desktop pc ...
(insert DWORD)

"AllowLSP"=dword:0

After that .. attach PDA to PC and all work fine ...

The proxy settings for the work network aren't saved.
You input the settings, close the dialog, then go to internet explorer and it doessn't work. You go back to double check the proxy settings and surprise: instead of "edit my proxy settings" you get "setup my proxy server", the settings are gone! :confused:

Installed the lite version and all seems well so far...a very nice, smooth, FAST ROM with a great looking blue theme which is a change from the usual black going round. I haven't had chance to use all of it yet, and there are things l don't use like 3G (my provider is too expensive) and video calling.

I can't install this ROM with Windows Vista :(

The updater runs fine but stay always at 0% during the flash (it doesn't even start). I tried to "downgrade" to the official WM5 HTC ROM and everything worked fine. Then I tried again but it still didn't work. Any help? Thank you in advance...

actually, it's the first thing i tried. Anyway with manual ip (like your hint) or fully automatic DHCP i always get a "valid" IP, so that's not the main problem. I don't use win firewall, but sygate, anyway it's already configured for AS since before this udk flash upgrade it was fully functional with my trinity.

Udk, i hope you accept critics, this rom is very good from some point of view (it's REALLY fast!) but from other p.o.v. it's quite flawed..apart from formatting my card (maybe avoidable..),
i miss many things from the last i've used (4.0), i.e. google maps, soft keys, intent java machine, and many other... also style in general is quite poor, i'm speking of dialpad and main theme. There are free program and proof of concepts that are around since long time and still hadn't embedded yet. I.e. what about embedding some pretty tones and rings (which float around this forum) like our beloved "oldring"? and such...

In your Software (tomtom, Navigon or Igo etc.) Gps settings to com 9 baud 57600.

As most Software uses only speed until 57600 Baud.

bugs (for me) so far:
- cannot sync with AS
- poor choice of embedded programs
- PHONE FREEZES!! very ofter when i use opera or while doing text input, it freezes for some 4-5 seconds then regain control for some seconds then freezes again! It's very annoying since it actually keeps inputs, so when you regain control, it does crazy things like hell. Additionally, sometimes it happened when it turn off screen it didn't turn on, it stayed simply black with green blinking led. I called it and it sound free from the called, but it remains off without ringing.

please, fix AS and freezing problems... i hardly can use my trinity right now! :(

I also have the freezing problem but no problem with sync. The freezing appears without having installed pocketCM, and makes the phone totally unusable with screen black, green blinking...

- Tomtom looses its setup,
- bt pairing with my laptop and headset gets lost almost every day
- wifi network setup gets lost almost every day
- resco explorer forgets about my favorite places sometimes
- voip today plugin displays always searching and when I call my voice is heard but I can't receive any voice (do I need a fix or something for this ?)

It seems that some registry information gets lost (I checked Resco Explorer, favorites info is in registry HKLM). Did someone observe similar issues or I force too much my Trinity ?

I have tried both Lite and Full wwe roms and i like both a lot, they are very fast and staible, no memory leaks when u have Home disaibled(dont like the HTC HOme at all, in any rom) just eats your ram. Must say that i love the theme in this rom! for a chance its nice to have colour in the theme, not always the black outfit of the roms which can be pretty boring when all the cookt rom is black only the software in roms are different. Great job with that! and every thing i have tried in this rom works great after the BT headset fix! very very great job udK! keep up the Good work!!

another little problem if someone can help me. I've installed all, ok....tomtom, infogps...but infogps, after some times that is used without problem, now it locks when clicking on information gps page to show the sat locked.
I must do hard reset to reinstall it and then it works. I've noticed that after installin phonepad internation, infogps locks every time i go on information gps page. Anyone knows if there is an incompatiblity problem with phonepad? or maybe with tomtom 6.03?

Well, Tomtom lost 2 times its settings and it's OK since a couple of days. I don't know what triggers its reset. It seems that a couple of things become corrupted at the same time. I had to reinitialize WMDC partnership 2 or 3 times in last 4 days. Tonight, my Trinity is again a stranger for the laptop. For VoIP, SetupVoIP.exe is crashing with an exception probably due to Prov0SIPSettings file corruption in \Windows\System\VoIP. To verify, I copied the corrupted file to the PC. Then, I deleted it from Trinity and recreated the config with a clean setup. I compared the newly created config with the old one I saved: they are different in size.
Anyway, I'll try to reflash the rom tonight and reinstall everything to find a stable state. I’ll tell you if I find something…

I have just updated my SPV M700 to udk 6.0 Italian WM6 ROM and I'm not able to pair it with my Parrot CK3500 (or Ck3100) hands-free kit...
I have applied both patches for Bluetooth handsfree from udk, JetWare and Cyberon but still got connection error...
PDA says that connection security code is not recognized by Parrot and Parrot display says that "Bluetooth connection failed".

Anybody can help with this problem?

Normally I do not post because I´m not that good with words and technical explanations but I had to come here and say something about this particular ROM.

I´ve tried four or five different WM6 ROM´s for trinity and I´ve bricked my device twice while doing that. I never asked for help before trying to find it myself by reading almost every god damn post in the forum.

So far, I´ve always succedeed in bringing my device back to life and I´ve done it by reading the posts... a lot!

Now what I really wanted to say was that after flashing the ROM refered in this post and after having tested it for a few days now, I can safely say that I will not be flashing for some time. Everything works very well and I am very plesased with the look and feel of the system as is.

In fact, as someone already stated, it is really refreshing to see some colors instead of the already usual blackness (but also pretty).

Well, thank you very much for this extremely useful and astonishing piece of good work.

With the oem explorer you could just "rightclick" an m.mp3 and choose "Set as ringtone" that function is not in gsfinder I think...for me that is a nice function

Just a note... each time I make a soft reset, I loose the mail setting of my provider (which i inserted trough... new email account...)... I made a simple test... select a new account with random words.. no email download.. soft reset and, when the device reboot, the email setting were deleted.
Is this a problem that is related only to my device?

I make that with all Roms and my e-mail account newer deleted. When you make an account and soft reset the it will deleted, all rom i tested do that, dont no why?

First of all i've the chance of trying for the first time in flashing new rom's, your ROM and i'am surprised with this one: Fast, stable... best than the original HTC WM5.
The only 2 bugs i've encountered was This one and loosing the WIFI hotspot configurations. But your suggestion resolved both problems, and now i'am happy. One more thing it might help: The mail configuration does not vanishes, it stays somewhere (not in the registry) because if you try to create another account with the same name you can't.

Myself, I hate gsfinder...I prefer 100000 times more the resco explorer.

Now I would like to test your ROM (the 21/10/07 Italian one of course) so I wolud like to make some questions:

I noticed too, that is a little slow. Maybe only on begining ... :rolleyes:
And you have same bug like some others, when in camera mode, click on icon to change storage spot (from card to memory) it can't be clicked again - u must go to settings to change it back to storage card. In karmba_a's rom this is working OK. ;)

Hi udK, my congratulation for your last ROM. I installed the full KE without problems. It's fast, complete, with original kaiser icons, good choice of colors (I like very much the keyboard) and finally not so brandized (empty splash screen and just necessary in the boot image to identify your 'nick name').
Very accurate ROM.
I tested almost all programs and camera too: everything seem to be OK.
I have only a question about additional TouchPad. What you suggest to use with?
I have InternationalPad 'cab' but I would like to see some other like the new 'xt9' KeyPad. Can you give me something like that?

And udK.s cooking is very very good ;) this new OS is for sure faster then the previous one. This Fe wwe rom is just in my taste complete for me and everything is working just fine..cant wait to have the Le version! I dont use the HTC Home and i cant remember how it was on the previous, the date, was it on one or Two lines? in the Fe version. Hope that in the new Le version the date are in two lines, like it was in 6.0 version, look much nicer that way

The left button "new" instead of calender is just great!! Only thing im "complainig" about in this rom is that the common manager is black and the new contact. if they were blue this, rom would be absolutly perfect..ok... you cant get everything :)

I tried the full 6.1 WWE version this time as the lite hadn't been uploaded and I found a couple of bugs:

1 - the 'x' on the phone pad doesn't close the pad down, it remains depressed and the pad remains
2 - when clicking on the task manager on the top right, it expands, but when you click it again to minimise it doesn't, you have to click on something else for it to minimise

and that is all I have found so far. Keep up the good work....oh, and if you can add some more blue skinned applications that would be great...it is my favourite colour.

I don't know why but this already happen in PDAviet ROM with the same OS as this new 6.1 version.

After some time of use the HTC Home clock stop working.
It is showing always the same time, but the internal trinity clock is working fine.

Maybe this is a problem of this new OS, because as I said in another ROM with same OS the problem also happen.

The slider that allows us to select the size of the fonts is not working correctly...I have installed the lite version, but it would be good to know if this happens on Full edition as well...

Yep, you are right. Second position doesn't have any effect on letters size.

some interesting things. Maybe bugs?

1.) TodayAgenda's configuration (settings/today/items/TodayAgenda-options) can't be closed. Only soft restart helps. (http://www.tiews.info/index.php?show=software%2Ftodayagenda) It is no matter how I set or even if I use the Task Manager.

2.) Some programs are not in the Programs folder after the installing (e. g. AlarmClock). A link for the program will be made in the StartMenu directory and not in the StartMenu/Programs.

Maybe I found some bugs in udk6.0_wwe_full nd I have no try 6.1 yet now.
1.I always loss gprs and wap setting.The usier name missed when I open setting-connection-My ISP-manager existing connections-edit-nextnext-user name lost which I had set before.The same for wap,all the setting are OK except user name.I must input agin and repert often;
2.cintinues up,i can't receive mail from my mail account because I missed the ISP and wap user name.but I also can't receive mail when I re-input all the twe user name,I tryed some times and I can receive when I repeat go to the mail account setting,and what I want to do is only select "next".So strange!
3.I'd used MailAccountRepair,Also miss mail account often.

I installed udk 6.1 to replace bepe 0.79, and memory consumption is much better, ie less memory leaks. bepes would reach over 90% used memory with no (visible) programs open whereas udks stays around 60-70 even after a few days use.

i have one question though: is there any way to reconfigure HTC Home så that the mail icon actually goes to the outlook inbox instead of the general messaging app?

The "Font size" bug is fixed also by me because there was a cab for that.

But about the "low scroll in big HTML pages" bug i doesn't found anything. Could you please describe, how I can fix it also on my UDK 6.1 R0 without flashing the UDK 6.1 R1?
