Touch Cube on Kaiser????

Hi all,

first of all I thank you all for the excellent support.

what is the easiest way to get "touch cube" on kaiser?

I followed the instructions from

1. Installed HTC Audio Mgr Today Plug-in.
2. Installed Touch flo(Alpha).cab
3. Soft Reset.
4. Install Touch settings V1.22.cab
5. Soft Reset
6. Deleted "Mediahubmini" from windows\startup
7. Soft Reset
8. Added contents of AL_xx_Touch.zip to \Touch.
9. Copied the same to \windows.
10. Soft Reset

When I Launch Touch Flo...

:mad: BLANK SCREEN :mad:

if it can work on O2 ATOM why not on Kaiser :confused:

I guess we have to wait untill the great coderz work out something so we can cook ROMS for the Kaiser...

The only way to install the cube is to add it to a ROM...
So no working cab or exe installers...

I guess we have to wait untill the great coderz work out something so we can cook ROMS for the Kaiser...

The only way to install the cube is to add it to a ROM...
So no working cab or exe installers...

When i install Touch flo(Alpha).cab and Touch settings V1.22.cab

I lost fav people tab on htc home.

do u notice any changes?????

Could you please be more specific. Can't find that folder on registry.

Is it under HKCR, HKCU or HKLM?

I have the tilt flashed with the Kaiser rom and it's not working. I did the step above too. Maybe Im doing something wrong. Anyone else try this who has the flashed tilt?

I followed these directions:

6) Map Touch Flo pgm to one of the buttons - I chose the PIE button.
7) Also install the missing ICON files for the APLauncher - AL_xx_Touch.zip into a separate directory (<root>\Touch).
8) Copy the same ICON files(from above) into \Windows.
9) Change [HKLM]\Software\OEM\TFLOSettings\EnableCube = 1
10) Save Registry Setting (Usually just exit your RegEditor)
11) Soft-reset.
12) Install Touch settings V1.22.cab, then soft reset.
13) Go to windows\startup and delete file called "Mediahubmini"
14) Soft-reset
15) Run Touch Settings (not touchflo) save the settings and exit.
16) Reset
17) Push your assigned touchflow buttonand you should see everything working!

i did what ever you said but all i see is a blank screen

in step 7 what do you mean by installing icons to \Touch ????? i just copied all icons to the folder

should i do anything else other than copying them ?????

All I did was copy all of the icons to a new folder called "touch" in the root of my device. Then I also copied the same icons over to the windows directory.

then I did everything you see. there..I will get my application list to see if maybe there is something else I have on here that would be responsible for my success.

EDIT: Looking at this, I guess I should state that I skipped two items because they were already loaded in my setup because of the files I grabbed from the CABs sticky in the other forum. Those would be:

HTC Audio Manager
HTC Audio Manager Plugin

and I used the version of HTC Home that is in the CABs sticky so that was my success.

Other than that, I don't know what else I can give everyone. I'm no expert but I used the previous directions with exception that I used the Audio Manager, Audio Plug In and HTC Home from the previously mentioned forum.

I also have a Kaiser (T-Mobile Vario III) followed the manual and get also a blank screen when starting touchflo.. :(

Then turn on HTC Home, Music Plug in, and HTCHomePlug. the go to registry and delete biotouch ver. then run Biotouch and touchflo. Should work. I rebooted 10 times and worked 6 times. I have been testing it for the last 3 days to confirm it.

Don't want to burst anyones bubble but some may find this useful:

I have full touchflo capabilities on my wizard, cube and all and it runs perfectly (fast, smooth, no lag, etc). Having said that, there are other things to consider. The whole design of the touch interface makes no sense at all. If you have HTC Home, there is no need for the cube and vice versa. It's better to just have one or the other since they both accomplish the exact same thing (Actually, home has more if you want to get technical). Yes, the cube is "neat" but at the end of the day, I would go with HTC Home over the cube. Reason being...the cube seems as if it would be a memory hog compared to the Home plug in. Plus, the home plug in is actually easier in terms of getting to what you need. At the end of the day, it just comes down to personal preference but you really only need one or the other and the other is just using additional ram, etc. Windows mobile (or most windows products for that matter) is redundant as it is and whoever at HTC decided to design the touch with both made it even more redundant. It's not that I am against either of them, just that there is no need for them to be a combined unit. As mentioned previously, I do have it running on my wizard but that was just to play and see how well I could get it running, etc. However, I wouldn't even consider installing both on my Kaiser (my current device in use) as it's just a waste that could be put to better use.

HTC Home is my choice of the two...choose what suits your preference.

in the end, do what you want. just wanted to give something to consider before you go spending a bunch of time if you are having difficulty getting it working to your liking.

And, like the others, i had the black screen.
I didnt forget to erase "Mediahubmini" from windows\startup.

My ROM is official HTC update, whats wrong, did i must flash with kaiser-HardSPLv1, and install Kaiser AKU.0.7.0 Cooked ROM before? was it necessary first? or is the problem no dependant of the ROM version?

i don't think kaiser-HardSPLv1 will fix it. flashing a different rom is not worth it

even i was so desperate to see the cube on my kaiser and did all those tweaks i can, all i got is a blank screen.

I spoke to the UK HTC technical support yesterday about another matter, and they told me (unoficially) that it can't work because the screen is different, and can't support Touch Flow. :-(

I'm sorry or actualy happy to say that what that technical supporter is saying is BS because the cube has notting to do with the screen... it's the touch.dll and some other dll probable the coredll.dll or some other device depentant dll that is missing some stuff the the cube is calling for.
the cube apps such as biotouch and applauncher make some calls to the coredll that are not there. I had the cube in my last rom and I could load all the sides of the cube but the scrolling or changing the sides with finger does not work because touch.dll is missing the needed actions.

I used the method posted in Dutty's thread and got the cube to work while I was using the stock ROM that came with my Tilt. After upgrading to the newest AT&T ROM posted by Incognito, I haven't been able to get a working cube. Same software + different ROM = Black screen.
