Great ROM and pretty fast. Fantastic that it's vanilla!
A couple of issues though. I've set regional settings for 24 hour mode and date as m/d/y and it works everywhere except HTC Home. Time is still 12 hour and date is d.m.y. I looked and didn't see any extra settings in HTC Home. Is this a registry setting?
Also PIMBackup 2.5 takes CPU usage to 100%. Any ideas?

Will you be producing a stacked application-packed version as well? Maybe I'm different from everyone else, but it was a great convenience having all these apps preinstalled and not having to go find them and install them one-by-one.

Nice ROM, best one I've found...probably because of the vanilla-ness.
But I found a few strange bugs, I've got it setup to vibrate when I get a txt, but it never does. And if I am messing around with Sound and Notifications, I can exit out of it once, but if I try to go into it again, the phone locks up.

i DID have the issue with the settings menu missing items, but i will confirm that a quick memory clean and soft reset with memmaid did the trick. Had a few issues getting wifi to work initially, but eventually got that working.
other than that SO FAR THIS IS THE BEST WM6 version i have had on my device. Thanks so much for all your hard work zoki!
Being realistic, normally problems develop for me after the first few days. I'll hold on saying this is a flawless version for now.. but PLEASE BY ALL MEANS, PAT YOURSELF ON THE BACK! My fingers are crossed, but if it keeps going the way it's going right now.. i honestly don't expect to have too many issues. Installed programs are as follows for those wondering
Software running on NBDx
-----------------------------
SPB Insight
SPB Weather
SPB Mobile Shell
WM5NewMenu
SPB Pocket Plus
SPB Finance
SPB Diary
SQLCE 2
PocketMax quote Today
Pocket e-sword
pocketmax phonealarm
Olivetree Bible
Microsoft Voice Command
Microsoft live search
Iambic Health & Diet Manager
Device Lock
Dinarsoft Memmaid
so no lockups, freezes, or soft resets required (except to bring back the settings menu after a memmaid cleanup).

memory leakage is low......
...love having a clean & stable and quick rom......thxs!
Battery life better but compared to ther roms drains more than usual

This is tight release, but I have been noticing some strange bugs. I did notice that the rom does not hide the sim card numbers in contact, so if I copy them to contact, I get 2 listings of each number. So I downloaded the PHM Registry Editor .70 (the only release I could find on the website), and I modified the ShowSim (something like that) registry, and exited the program, and then it doesn't show duplicate entries, but if my phone gets restarted, the old settings revert back to old settings, so I have to keep running registry editor to have hide dual contacts.
And there is No Wireless 'G' settings on the phone, but I went I put them on there, and restart the phone, the settings go away. It seems that I can't write to the registry file, just edit them temporarly when the phone is on,
And other thing that I noticed was with the use of my bluetooth headset, when I take a call on headset, and suppose I want to use a different option - like go back to speakerphone, the speakerphone option is disable, and I can only use headset mode.
But at times, when I take the call on the headset, and I get to choose speakerphone, or headset option available, but once I use bluetooth, I can only go back to headset, and not to speakerphone.
These are really weird issues....is anyone having these?
I really like the vanilla edition, only if I could figure out these weird issues...
Thanks

This is the fastest, most stable NBD ROM so far (I've used 8.x, 9.x versions and wm6 r3 rom). Great work!
I had some of the issues the others have posted:
Only one icon in the personal tab
Blue Tooth issues
Battery drain issues
After the personal tab issue, I reflashed. All in all, I think I flashed this ROM 3 times before getting everything to work correctly. It's sort of a pain, but I really wanted this one to work because the ROM is so fast.
Battery drain is a deal breaker for me so I added BatteryStatus to monitor my batter drain. The battery has to last at least 24 hours on one charge. I can go 48 hours or so on one charge with "normal" usage.
Anyway... thanks Zoki!

I don't like the touch phone skin. I usually just disable it in the registry. when I disabled this one, the original buttons show up with no background. then, if I re-enable the touch skin, it doesn't have a background either.

Thanks a lot Zoki ,
I was following your roms from version 8 and all the way to update X1 and your roms were always the best. I tried diffrent roms and had missed calls issues and diffrent issues. but with your rom no missed calls and I don't even use any fixes for missed calls on your rom and never had an issue, all your roms are the fastest. Mainly your X version is superb. Keep up the work. No Issues for me so far.

Great rom. nice job.
As stated above, the only issue I'm also having is syncing with Vista's Windows Mobile Device center. It syncs great with XP, but fails with Vista. I'm guessing it's an issue with WMD. I'm sure Zoki will have a fix soon. Keep up the great work on these roms.
On a side note, I tried TNT 1921 WM6 rom, but kept missing calls, and txt msgs. Yes I even used th WM6 fix. NBD has (in my opinion) the best roms for AT&T / Cingular and Tmobile in the US.

Have you tried flashing a factory rom on first? I'm using At&T, so I flashed the TMobile UK IPL/SPL 3.08 and 2.69 radio. Then did a reset (Holding the Voice command and Comm mgr buttons together while pressing the reset button... then pressinng talk to format the unit). Then install the NBD X. I've never had problems with XP syncing. Also use the net_over_active_sync. I had a problem syncing a few months ago, and this reg setting helped.

Strange, I'm also on AT&T but I've never had an activesync problem up until NBD X, never had it with other NBDs. It's a shame, the rom is PERFECT (excluding the problem).
I always flash new roms over the one my phone is currently running, never had a problem. Here's the sequence up until I can remember.
TNT >
NBD 9.2 >
NBD X U1 >
NBD X U1 >
NBD X U1 >
NBD X
It looks like the original release is having less of a problem with activesync. But having only 7 icons in the System tab and 7 icons in the Connections tab bothers me because I am pretty sure the NBD X U1 release had a bunch more than that.
I will wait until my current flash has a problem with activesync that drives me crazy. Try your suggestion and flash it with NBD X U1. Do you mind sending me in the right direction to the factory rom that you're using?
Thanks!

I somehow got this rom to sync up with active sync. After syncing with my contacts I went in to my active sync settings and added media and files. During the transfer over, my phone locked up. I restarted it and it would not pass through the boot screen so I re-flashed it from the boot loader menu.
All I had installed was NBD X (had this for a few days) and battery status (with the phone over clocked, also installed for a few days). I don’t know what caused the issue but I just wanted to let you know that it was somehow possible to sync up with this rom.

If your having trouble syncing with vista, try this.
Unplug phone from pc. Launch Windows Mobile Device Center (It May Say "Error" Initially) Plug phone back in. Error sysmbol should change to connecting. Sync Center will then show connected and you can choose sync from your phone or from the WMMDC.
Haven't tried it on xp yet.. But it seems there's just happens to be a smaller window for the phone to connect to the service before the connection is dropped.
Just synced 280 contacts and lots of notes/tasks/emails/reminders as well
Hope this helps

is't G4 safe, but read the specific threads about G4 upgrade for full details
all WM6 ROM upgrades I saw so far, are G4 safe, as they only contain the OS

I have a G4 device, used ShellTool to install NBD X as OS, everything has been awesome thus far, absolutely no complaints. Have it overclocked at 260mhz, no battery drain issues thus far, but I'll report back tomorrow as I just flashed it about an hour ago. Had to use the Cingular GPRS settings wizard CAB to get EDGE connecting without errors. So far so good, I'll report back tomorrow for other G4 users. :)
Thanks again for this ROM.

For anyone who's tired of working with a slow rom while waiting for Zoki to update NBD X, I found the next best thing:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=333242
You're going to have to install HTC Home, Audio Manager, and some other programs but it is a very good alternative.
(Activesync works!)

Hello,
I am currently running NBD 8.3, which seems to work fine for me (WLAN, Active Sync, telephone, office tools, camera and so on) but the TouchFlo is sometimes a bit annoying because it activates when hit a menu button at the bottom ...
I would like to change to NBD X - can anyone who uses it tell me (and others) which programs are pre-installed:
How about
- HTC Home
- HTC Home Customizer
- HTC Audio Player
- Adobe Reader
- Adobe Flash
- PIM Backup
- Pocket RAR
- TouchFlo
and others ...?
Thanks!

as mentioned before, this rom is not usable, as the active sync doesn't work and zoki doesn't give any support anymore (apparently)
my advice would be to take a look at the new rom ANTC 1.0 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=344489). Very fast, stable and all what's in works very well...even auto connect to preferred wirless lan network!

Yes, VOODOOS!L is right. ANTC 1.0 is the perfect solution to our NBD X problem. I've been using it since it first released and it's been great. Haven't slowed down even with so much things installed.
Highly recommended.

Anybody can confirm VPN works in NBD X U1?
I'm on NBD 9.0 where VPN definitely doesn't work (tested with sniffer)
Urgently need a solution.
Any advices, sugestions of tested external VPN clients are welcome.
TIA.

Zoki, I have been using this rom and it's excellent! You make great ROM's but I find that this one is the best one so far. No nonsense with all of the applications that are very useful without all the extra BS. I am using NBD X Update 1.
HTC Wizard 100 G3
ROM: NBD X Update 1
IPL/SPL: 3.1
Radio: 2.69.1
I hope that you will come out with an updated newer build of this ROM
Thank you

he probably got himself a new device...maybe one of those nice Kaisers ;)
so I can understand he doesn't want to spend anylonger his time on this old Wizards...
my advice to those still using NBD: take a look ant ANTC roms, for me these fitted best while I was used to work with NBD
or create your own NBD XI and share it with us!! ;)

When I try to setup a new connection under START/SETTING/CONNECTIONS and try to make a new [modem] connection, I can no loner see "Bluetooth" as one of the options listed.
I could always choose "Bluetooth" in WM5 with both the Cingular & T-Mobile roms.
Is there a fix for this?
