Just a very basic fast ROM, done his way.

ROM PagePool is 6MB, use om-by's most excellent tool to change (I sometimes like a 12MB myself )
Also, Austinsnyc included the SetAcousticParem.exe per my request.

btw, ROM is OS and spalsh screen only, no radio! It does have the new animated (but slient) 3G Splash

Dr Puttingham will be my only source for Hermes ROM's since he is the MAN! I will offer support but the good thing about my ROM's is you won't need any support they are that clean and fast! Run a benchmark on my rom compaired to anyone else and see who comes out on top!

u r serious when u say its fast.. i havent had to tweak ur stuff at all.. one question tho. do u think u can re-work this rom to have like 80mb storage like dutty did to his? or maybe even 70mb? reason i ask is cuz i like to keep at least 30mb free on phone and opera alone is 6mb to install. im running ur rom and i can say that ur rom is the only rom out that i can have palm threaded sms opened and STILL have 26.03mb of ram free...its amazing.

its the blue att dialer but if u disable video dialer it will go back to the standard wm6 color scheme dialer..both dialers are 2g

And btw, dont expect much support from the chef, it always gets done by other people, dont get me wrong, Austin cooks some good ROMs, but support and screenies have always been lacking, or other people had to do it.

Here's my latest cab, give it a try. Gi to startup and delete the trayicon_manermode shortcut. All the settings are the same as in my sig except the bluetooth icon is now a shortcur rather than the executable per Kyphur's suggestion. I also added Lordsmith's Batteryguage in it cause I really like it.

i like this rom a lot but would really like to have the 3g dialer available on this one. Somehow, even if i install a 3g dialpad, it wont display properly.i dont think it has the 3g dialer installed. Is there a workaround on this?

correct thats the whole point of doing clean ROM's!! if something is messed up its probably from some 3rd party app you installed.. I would say out of all the rom's that where ever released mine have never needed support simply because I don't add all that junk to them I leave that up to you plus Dr P is great at support 101 for n00bs :)

Has anyone had an issue where they can no longer be both on the internet and on the phone at the same time? Also I no longer get the H icon when I connect to the internet. I am using AT&T BTW with the latest 1.54.07.00 radio rom. I was using vp3G's 3.60 rom last and everything worked fine. I love how fast this rom is, probably the fastest I have ever used, but this would be a deal breaker.

I am in the exact same place I have been for the last 4 months or so and have never had a issue getting a H to show up. I know for a fact I am not on edge as I have gone to www.dslreports.com/mspeed and have gotten speeds around 650kbits a sec.

flash the radio again then re-flash the rom.. dont hard-reset but actually fully reflash both

I dont remember who's PTTFix i used, but i also experienced this at first. I dont know if it was a powerdown or two that fixed it or what, but its working fine now. And i'd have to agree on speed. LOOOOVIN it.

Although, i say that about most ROMs i try :D We'll see how long i keep this one.

First off, I want to thank Austinsync for a wonderful, crazy fast ROM.

I have been playing around with numerous ROMs over the last year or so and while they all have different features/level of stability, this ROM is BY FAR the fastest and most stable I have used.

Its funny, the longer I used the older ROMs, the less I noticed how slow they truly were. I put this thing on and was amazed at the responsiveness. It was a complete night and day difference. I actually laughed like a kid in a toy store. This ROM had actually brought back the phone I knew I had bought a year ago....but with the advantage of WM6.


I put SPB weather and PocketPlus 4.0 (although I disable the Today screen portion) and it is still fast.

Currently running 1.54 radio in Indy (Go Colts!) with absolutely no problems.

Thanks for the Help Dr and Corrie....vp3g's reassign cab did the trick...I have been using these roms for about 8 months now and I have never been able to allow as many memory hogs on my phone...It's like I just kept adding today plug ins and the Program memory stayed at 24-25 megs...thats crazy!

With this 'clean' rom I am very impressed. It took me an extra hour to customize the machine the way I like it but it is well worth the extra effort in my opinion. I really have no need to switch as long as the whole memory leak thing does not occur...

i soft reset every 3days.. 2 reasons.. to reset my xm/mobi trial and to re-fresh my ram.. my phone can last 5days without any issue on this rom

Ok, issue. It stopped being recognized by the computer. Will not sync at all. Checked/unchecked adv connectivity, restarted computer/phone, HR (although i did restore with spb backup), and nothing fixed it. I dont feel like doing a manual restore yet but that may be the only way.

Haven't noticed t he media player hang yet but I haven't messed with it too much. I prefer to use Core media player.

This is by far the fastest ROM i've played with so far. I was impressed with how responsive my device was after the flash. I'd gotten used to the sluggish response of other wm6 ROMs

Ok, is anyone else having trouble downloading picture messages? They download, but only show a small camera icon, not the pic. Is it an issue with the Arcsoft version perhaps?

I tried 3.5.1.5 and now it says "error syncronizing" when i hit "send/receive".

Is 4.2 available as a cab or can you only cook it at this point?

EDIT: Ok after a clean flash it works, so its a program i had installed.

I asked Austinsync early this AM to make us (read: ME!)a clean, Austinsync style, version as a favor. He's happily Tilting (tee hee) but will work on it, OK?

As an afterthought, this new AT&T ROM, after bypassing the ex ROM today(I installed the complete early this AM, semi happyjust thought I'd hard reset and save some memory..) first 'remote modem has disconnected your ass' message I've gotten since I had my Wizard... finally came back but damn.... hope it was just a Cingular tower issue in Miami..

Do not restore a backup except to the same ROM it was made from. Otherwise you'll experience problems, in all likelihood.
