I can change touch.dll and add a few files to get bioscroll (not the cube) on the new vanilla rom. It would not slow the rom down or take any free memory away.
What you guys think?

I can't think of a single reason why not, it is something I love.

Hi, I actually bought an XDA Orbit after seeing the excellent rom work that has been done here and I would definitely like to have that feature. Thanks

Yes,
All i want is a clean up to date rom, with GPS Photo and (bio)scrolling support. The HTC Home Plugin is very handy, but i can miss it.
I am sure if you make a rom which looks as the HTC original, WITH scrolling and GPS Photo support, lots of people would use it.
O yea, and please, dont make a black version... There are other colours, i like the Blue O2 premium you made, and used it quite a time.
little offtopic. Also, if there is a easy way (ala customizer) to put scrolling or other things in it would be great (even with a hard reset or something). Unfortunately its in the ROM (as ive been told) and therefore not possible(?).

Is BioScroll the thing which made my Artemis with your TouchFlo 2.0 ROM randomly scrolling up and down?

I say yes.
Maybe you could give an option to switch it on or off like Tom does in his ROM?

Well this is what i've done - disabled by default in true vaniila style - there is a smal cab in windows that enables it.
This stops having extra apps or control panels messing up the feel of vanilla :D
Total storage still 58.76mb and FAST as ever.

I never liked it much. My opinion is to remove it an give an option to install it later for everyone who likes it. Just as you said.
Good work man. :p

YES, keep it in 2.0.
With bioscroll, I can scroll with finger at anywhere with scrollbar. don't have to use stylus to scroll.
But I don't use cube often. maybe others do also.
Having Bioscroll alone without cube should make this ROM more popular.
Waiting for it. Thanks a lot.

"installable"?
is it possible to install scroll function? sorry but i didnt hear about such possibility...
about all other programms - i agree as well that there's nothing should be. to have a chance to install a newest version every time.

OK, I agree, but I haven't seen a cab for installing bioscroll so far. Sorry, in case of being wrong, but I've noticed that the Cube is the only HTC app that is impossible (or very hard) to install afterwards. It can come with a cooked rom only.
Since the bioscroll is closely related to the Cube, so, its not istallable/uninstallable, maybe it's worth to put it into the Vanilla rom!
But I repeat: I'm not an expert...

I guess if you update the touch.dll in the rom then the cube could be added later if wanted??
I say add it, gives people the option.

True!
You just need to replace touch.dll file and you have a scroll.
I would say do not add any cube or thing like that this rom works perfect without it and with scroll function.
I think most ppl just need to have easy manageable access.
Cube is just a performance killer in my opinion.
I hope that today I can release a DUTCH version of biotouch and ONLY biotouch. :D

Hi all.
Just wandering if anybody who like bioscroll ever tried to use Smartskey (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=256525) on their device. You can remap volume slider on the side of the device to work as scroller if not at Today screen or using Phone application.

I totally agree, I don't use Cube I think it slows the phone.
Anyway, Bioscroll is cool to navigate into the folders, contacts...

Great news Mark! I like the fact that you can choose to activate bioscroll. Will you concider a full (touch) rom with new build in the future?

meschle, can you please confirm the following problem has been resolved in Vanilla 2.0?
1) Activate WIFI or GPRS connection
2) Activate Windows Live Push Email
3) Disable all data connection (WIFI and GPRS)
4) connmgr.exe now taking >60% of the CPU and the device become very slow
I have tested this in WL 10.6.31, 10.6.32, 10.6.33, all has the same problem (it will also cause serious battery drain). Now I am running Dopod original rom which has 10.6.28 and it work perfectly, maybe you should cook this old version instead of the new one which doesn't seems to work correctly if all data connection is lost or disconnected manually. :(

Yes new touch rom will be built on this one - that was my aim - refine vanilla rom then build on it :D

1. Can be done with batterystatus
2. Dont use push email so pass
3. Disable with comm mgr\batterystatus
4. Try new comm mgr - i dont have that problem - fine for me.

Hi meschle,
Sorry if I didn't make this clear, the 1,2,3,4 is actually the steps to reproduce connmgr.exe cpu problem. You need to perform the same steps to see if this also occur in this rom. Also connmgr.exe is not comm manager, they are difference software module, one is manage the connection of Windows Mobile and later is for user to activate or deavitivate the connection.
PS: to activate Windows live Push Email (it is free!), you need to lauch Windows Live->Option->Sync schedule->As items arrive
