I have a Tomtom bluetooth receiver sirf III. It works fine with tomtom navigator 6.
Unfortunately Tomtom 6 does not have all maps of the world. So I installed I-Go 2006 plus which does have the maps which I require.
The problem is that I-Go can only detect the Tomtom receiver if tomtom is running as well (on auto detect or on manual detect).
Then it finds it on com 9 baud 57600. If I close tomtom then it looses the signal in IGo.
The problem is that if I run both together, it uses a lot of memmory.

I know that there are geniouses in this forum, any help would be gr8tly appreciated.

Pair the device manually. Then set up an 'Outgoing COM port' - also in the bluetooth settings. Then go to I-go and select this port in the GPS settings.

I am working with WM6 and I don't see how to pair the device manually. If I pair device it does not let me add a new outgoing com port on the "tomtom wireless GPS".

To pair the device maually
+ click the "Add new device" and wait for it to find the tomtom receiver and click next.
+ it will ask you for a paring code. This is usually four zeros "0000" enter the code and click next.
+ Then you'll get a Partnership settings page with will have a checkbox to indicate you want the setup a Serial port for this device. Check it and click next/finish.

Once you are back to the devices screen go to the "Com" tab. You should see the tomtom receiver there. Click it and select the com port for it. Click next and you should be setup.

Now go to i-go GPS settings and click detect. It should find the tomtom receiver.

Good Luck.
