Das Original-ROM hat keinerlei T-Mobile spezifische Erweiterungen (Bootlogo, Klingeltöne, Zusatzprogramme usw.) und läuft im allgemeinen schneller und stabiler. Ich habe auf meinem "alten" Vario II das Original HTC Hermes WM6 Rom drauf gemacht und das warein Unterschied wie Tag und Nacht! Und sobaldt es ein deutsches Kaiser-ROM von HTC gibbt werde ich auch das drauf machen.

@Snappy Mein T-Mobile ROM war auf meinem VARIO III drauf... Ich müsste halt erst einen DUMP machen.

@Seelion Ja so habe ich es auch gemacht. Ich hoffe halt nur das jetzt dann die Tage endlich ein original deutsches HTC ROM erscheint. Beim Vario II gabe es ja auch und beim MDA Compact III haben wir mittlerweile auch ein original deutsches HTC ROM.

Nice. Only need the parts 00, 01 and 02. The part03.raw are not needed for reconstruction process.

Yes, you are right, i reconstruct only TMobile German ROM with all the original one have inside.

If you or any guy have an HTC German Kaiser, dump the ROM and upload....

About your questions...

a. You can destroy the ROM with the tools, you only are going to read the RAW data from the device and grab to the PC... to modify the ROM you need do it by two ways, with one shipped ROM , and using CustomRUU with a cooked ROM.

b. The process only access to ROM space, so no personal data is read.

Try to dump following the Pof thread and upload to RapidShare. [Mod Edit - Please do not upload Roms or Rom Dumps to XDA FTP Server]

Hi, my english is no so good, about write in german.

So hallo, ich verfolge das Forum schon einge Tage, und verfluche meine Englisch kenntnisse :(. Aber da hier ja um ein German rom geht, versuche ich es einfach mal hier auf Deutsch. Ich habe ein VPA V Compact. Ich würde natürlich ein Orginal rom von htc nutzen. So wie ich das jetzt verstanden habe gibts ein dump vom htc german rom, welches ich aus dem ersten treath dessen tool mit rauf spielen kann. Des weiteren habe ich gesehen das jemand hier ein vpa v dump rom abgelegt hat. falls ich wieder orginal zustand haben möchte es damit zurück setzen kann. Aber ich würde natürlich auch ein englische gerne ausprobieren, wo vieleicht die touch funktion mit funkioniert. nur steige ich bei den ganzen bezeichnungen nicht wirkoich durch.

nu meine fragen.
1. habe ich da mit dem cooking richtig verstanden ?
2. Hat jemand ein rom vorschlag, welches sehr gut ist, vieleicht schon mit den touch integriert ?
3. und ist das mit dem vda v rom recht ?
4. welches ist das neueste und aktuellste rom

also würde mich um antworten freuen :)

is anyone able to extract the dictionary files from any of these roms ? since i prefer my word suggestions on my English rom to be German instead i would basically need the files:

dictprob.0407.dat
statdict.0407.dat

i tries copying the mmsp2.lex file to /windows this didn't help the others files don't seem to in he rom although i guess they only contain the picked up words when writing. does anyone know of a way to get my dictionary to German? please help and i do hope this is somewhat related to the German rom and i am not totally out of line posting here :)

I have install the HTC German Rom, but i have reset the vodafone logo and R= 1.56.00.00 but after reboot under konfiguration/systeminfo he sy me that version 1.56.407.

How i can full htc system ? also nothing vodafone logo etc.

Soweit ich das sehe gibt es hier im Moment nur drei gedumpte ROMs (Original HTC TyTN II, T-Mobile, Vodafone). T-Mobile habe ich momentan eh schon drauf, Vodafone brauche ich nicht und das gedumpte HTC ROM möchte ich nicht drauf machen. Da warte ich dann doch lieber noch ein bisschen, bis ein komplettes original HTC ROM verfügbar ist!

I have flashed my US Kaiser with the German HTC ROM which is referenced to in this forum. Unfortunately I now frequently have the standby on death syndrom. The phone goes in to standby and then wont wake up again. The only thing that helps is a soft reset. Has anyone else had this after flashing the German HTC 1.56.407.3?

Try with another micrSD (better microSDHC ;) )... perhaps the microSD is giving you this fault...

did you use KaiserTweak? if yes, go and disable power management on memory card...

Strange... i suppose more ppl have flashed the ROM, in my rapidshare account HTC German was downloaded 125 times, and vodafone 15 times, so can someone who have flashed one of this confirm the issue, please.
And can someone who have the original ROM confirm if there is any problem with SOD...

About the addresses you point, every ROM can have different values, cause the long for part02 and part03 can be sorter or longer, depending on how many files and the size of them are included or deleted. In fact, my spanish ROM dumped from my Kaiser have different values that the pof one. This don't cause issues like SOD. Other languajes reconstructeds ROMs have no issue like this one. So must be any registry parameter changed or something like that causgin the problem (i suppose).

Ops, sorry, i haven't understand you.

Really if you use the exact address pof posted, there are much possibilities to get an incomplette dump, but if you have an incomplete dump, most probable is the reconstruction process don't work with missing files. Bepe's package tools would give errors with files missings.

I know some about using WM devices but only little about the software development behind it. Do I understand this thread right in the sense that you are discussing whether the dump might have been reconstructed in a wrong way? So, could this be the reason for my SODs?

To everyone else out there that flashed the German ROM: please let me know some feedback as to whether you are also encountering problems with SOD. Thanks loads!

Hi, i also flashed my branded t-mobile with the german htc-rom and i do NOT have this issues.

Since now its stable but a bit slow i noticed. Sometimes it freezes for 3-5 seconds..but i guess this is normal?

Thanks for the feedback. Are you running the email client and if so are you storing attachments on the storage card? What storage card are you running? I am asking because several threads hint that this might be the problem causing the SOD.

I know some about using WM devices but only little about the software development behind it. Do I understand this thread right in the sense that you are discussing whether the dump might have been reconstructed in a wrong way? So, could this be the reason for my SODs?

mmm, more that "reconstructed in a wrong way" i beleave there must be a problem with the drivers in this version that make this issue appear into your device. Basically, if you follow the steps, you'll get a good reconstructed ROM, like many others one with no issue.

We need more ppl with this ROM to test this to be sure this is a real issue related to reconstruction, or an issue specific to your device with this ROM.

I've flashed the HTC german ROM on my MDA Vario III which comes original with T-Mobile ROM.
I've also changed the HTC german ROM with ROM Kitchen, added my favorite apps and removed some OEM apps and it's working fast and without any problem.

I'm also using eMail client with attachements configured to store on storage card. No problems so far. I'm running this installation since two weeks now and i'm absolutely happy with it. Don't need original HTC ROM i think...

Yes iam using the Mailclient a lot..using the tool "Msuite" which is gateway to my company lotus notes server.

The SD is budget card i guess..Its from ExtremeMemory

No, but i dont. Its not a SDHC Card, its a normal 2GB..see enclosed pictures.

I've tried it all now. Took out the storage card, saved email attachments on device memory, turned off all WiFi, BT and any other connection. Still the SOD comes at random times. I'm out of ideas now and pretty frustrated. Especially because I seem to be the only one here having this problem with the German ROM.

If anyone can still help. I'd greatly appreciate it!

I have a MDA Vario III running the original T-Mobile Software and had the SOD problem as well.
The device turned the screen off and would not get out of this mode except if I took out the battery or did a soft reset.
I also couldnt turn the screen to go to standby, the Power button did not work (there was no problem with the powerbitton itself as I could turn on the device with it).
So I gave back the device and have an unbranded German HTC Tytn II now with the original HTC German Rom.
I got it yesterday and everything was perfect so far but today out of the blue, same problem again, screen turned off and I couldnt use the device without pulling the battery or Soft reset it.
I have a SanDisk SDHC card running inside.
So far this has only happened once, but I am scared that this will happen again.
Anyone got an idea, maybe a software running on this device causes the problem?

Hey Mike,

what additional applications have you installed your Vario and Kaiser? Maybe one of them is the culprit. Although I must say that my device even did the SOD without any additional installations. I have again reverted to the original English ROM and since then everything is working fine again...

So I had installed:

TomTom 6
Star Money Mobile 2.0
Resco Explorer 6.17 (I had Resco Version 6.16 running on the T-Mobile MDA Vario III -what is the T-Mobile branded Version of the HTC Tytn II btw)

The SOD happened after I was using the device search of Resco and I uninstalled it, after having uninstalled it the SOD did not happen again, but if you state that it happened to you without having anything else installed then it can't be the fault of the Resco program.
What just came to my mind, I actually unlocked the phone as I got the unlock code from T-Mobile hours before the SOD happened the first time.
Another issue that is strange:
I set the screen to turn off after 30 seconds.
It does dimm after 30 seconds but it actually turns off completly after 5 Minutes. This isnt normal is it?
Regarding the Memorycard its a SanDisk microSD SDHC 8GB card (I even have 2 of them and I tried both of them - same Problem - and I dont save mail attachements to the storage card.)

Ops, sorry, i haven't understand you.

Really if you use the exact address pof posted, there are much possibilities to get an incomplette dump, but if you have an incomplete dump, most probable is the reconstruction process don't work with missing files. Bepe's package tools would give errors with files missings.

i also have a mda vario III, after flashing the original htc rom i had the problems with SOD. I recognized that I've installed many programs on SD card.
So i made a hard reset and installed everything on the internal memory. after that i had no problems with SOD.
Already 2 weeks :D

I have my HTC with german rom stuck in colored screen. WWE cannot be updated - invalid vendor. So I need original one back to bring unit to live.

Any advice? What shoul I do with my htc?

Jow ... mrootman ... du must als ersters JumpSPL verwenden. Du must dein Gerät CID unlocken, damitst ein Rom mit falschen Country Code Flashn kannst. Lies bitte die Threads über HardSPL/USPL/SSPL durch. SSPL reicht fürs Flashn ohne das man sein SPL überschreibt.

Das Original-ROM hat keinerlei T-Mobile spezifische Erweiterungen (Bootlogo, Klingeltöne, Zusatzprogramme usw.) und läuft im allgemeinen schneller und stabiler. Ich habe auf meinem "alten" Vario II das Original HTC Hermes WM6 Rom drauf gemacht und das warein Unterschied wie Tag und Nacht! Und sobaldt es ein deutsches Kaiser-ROM von HTC gibbt werde ich auch das drauf machen.

Yes, just flash "hard spl" and then a german reconstructed HTC ROM (it's somewhere in this forum)
This ROM is better than the VPA or MDA ROM, but it has no chance against an english 6.1 ROM ;-)
