HTC New Photo app for the Touch

I have not seen any port like that, but the guys over at www.pocketcm.com, are developing a new image viewing app, not as refined as the Touch one, but very similar and touchy. I have it installed and is really cool and free.

If you find it good enough consider donating to the author.

Wow it looks just like the iphone app. I guess htc is still trying to look like the iphone. If they release i hope they make it a little more smoother like the iphones.

there will be an update for the 'older' HTC Touch I, so they will get this new TouchFLO v2 with ImageViewer soon....and so I hope all of us will get is soon too ;)

yes there are some people that think that if it cost more, it will be better, even if they don't need all that 'better' stuff...:rolleyes:

the scroll interface and this new image interface are some real benefits of the TouchFlo...the cube is just decoration and a bit overloaded...

no offence, but not really impressed...
the real benefit for me on a ppc is that there are thousands of programs that give an added value to your device. some really nice software like pocket informant, mobiledb, tv guide, novii remote,igo etc and this touch image viewer...all the ones you seem to hate
they all together make my (old) phone run slowly, but they can make it worth for me...withouth these you could just buy yourself an iphone...

Intuitional Picture Viewer for HTC

I've been working on picture viewer for the HTC Touch that has a little more of an intuitional feel(kinda like the iphone tho mine has some major differences) You can use the touch screen for everything including changing pictures, panning, and zooming in or out. Right now 2 mega-pixel images take about a second to load(used to take 4-5!)

Here's how to control it:

To use gesture mode check "Gesture Mode" in options menu, to use double-click mode uncheck "Gesture Mode."

Gesture Mode:
Sweep your thumb to the left to move to the next picture
Sweep your thumb to the right to move to the previous picture
(for sweeping, start with your thumb/finger off the phone, otherwise it'll mistake it for the panning gesture)
Press on the picture and then move to pan
Double-press to change to full screen.

Double-Click Mode:
double press to switch between panning and switching pictures/zooming.
move picture with finger in panning mode
zoom by moving finger up/down in non-panning mode
switch pictures by moving finger left/right in non-panning mode

This looks very nice, I installed it and the loading is very fast , I just need to get used to it. It works great with NBD's Rom. i will play a little more with and let you know.
