I flashed this to my herald p4350, and It looks good, and IS good on my device :)

The weather options must be set with using the touchsettings located in start menu\programs\touchflo. It will not work if you use the htc home weather setting.


Instructions how to upgrade is in the Touch-IT folder.
READ IT, If you dont, you will spend even more time infront of your computer flashing the official ruu before trying again, why waste time, use 1 min to read and understand.

IF you brick your phone (Brick=the phone can be used as a building brick, or maybe a paperweight? Because you cant start it up.) Its no others fault but your own.
Mainly the reason for bricking a phone is:
1. Not reading the instructions good enough
2. Not following the instructions.
3. Not having a RUU that can unbrick the phone (the official installer with the official rom for your specific phone, with your phones default language. In.ex if yu have a german phone by default, you need a german RUU, if not you will get invalid vendor error)
4. Not reading the instructions good enough..again
5. Not following the instructions...again

If you dont understand after reading CAREFULLY, then dont bother flash your device with this or any other rom.

Ok sorry to ask, I'm new to the Touch it thing, what do i do with os.nb? I downloaded it, hard reset the wing, even ran aserg policies.cab and soft reset it. Now what do I do? Usually there would be a batch file that I could run according to the famous newbs guide. I understand if you don't want to explain everything to each annoying newb such as myself, but i couldn't find any links anywhere. Help from anyone would be greatly appreciated. PM me if you want. guys, doing anything on the phone that causes it to connect to something (satellite, bluetooth, etc.) is gonna drain the battery way more then letting it sit in standby.

so far over all the roms the most notable increase in battery drain for me has been when i overclock my phone.

DAMN! i wanna try this rom out but i just got touch~it2 all set up so i may wait till a stable release (also i prly won't have the time over the next couple days). if i do get a chance to flash your rom i'll let you know itje.

Heh, you probably had it set to Celsius instead of Fahrenheit (32 C would be almost 90 F), you can change that in the options.
...but no, this doesn't have a location database or something like that, you go to select your location and there's just nothing to select.

Not seeing it. All the TouchFlo folder has is "TFSetting" and there's nothing about the weather.

Ok. I have it up and running the 2nd time. I flashed it with the stock rom and then flashed the beta rom. I did recieve a repllog.exe cannot be accessed error and selected ok. underneath was the regular unknown status error message i of coursed didn't touch that. It stated that it flashed successfully and i hard reset it. everything seems to be up and running.

repllog.exe has something to do with activesync i think. it's in the windows directory and it has the little activesync icon. when you run the start bar flashes "connect to" for a second adn then nothing happens.

Some things I noticed so far:

- TouchSettings v1.22 is missing in the rom
- 'Device Information' in the System menu does not show properly. Its blank.
- 'Keylock' in the System menu does not work properly. Cannot change settings. A blank screen appears after you hit OK and the setting isn't saved.

connect your device, copy the attached .lnk file to your storagecard.
use total commander, find the file you just copied to storage card, choose it, copy it, then go to windows/start meny/programs/touchflo and paste the .lnk. end total commander then the shortcut should be in the touchflo folder.

If that dont work, use TC to make your own .lnk from the touchsettings.exe and follow same procedure with copying it to the correct folder.

as I have said before, I setup nothing to storage card anymore, no ringtones, no cache, no temp, no email, because this can in some cases corrupt your card, and I got sick of those having that problem pm me and want me to send new card because my f...ing rom did that..

so, this you gotta do changes for yourself.

So upon trying to redo my custom settings after successfully installing this rom, I noticed that

1: Office Does not work
2: Backlight in settings open and close right away
3: device Info is still blank

Additionally Voice Command doesnt work and when turning off the phone using the power button (holding down the power button) it just hangs with the spinning windows logo thing

Still, its good, but without office I might not be able to use it

I was thinking about upgrading to this rom but im running the og ver 2 thats not for the wing. I cant find one thing that does not work. I have tested it for a week with no probs. Does anyone know what should not work on the keyboard? Cant find anything. Thanx for the info.

weird, I have flashed this on my device (p4350) surprisingly its very good and stable. Its running quite fast and its remarkable responsive. Whats weird with it, its that its built with wing oem/drivers/reg.
But then I get the keyboard issues ofcourse, that wing users have when flashing a p4350 rom, just the other way around. But that was easy fixed :)

I will up a new, with a fixed backlight and office. Ill look into what cause the blank info, I have same on my device. But I really dont regard that as a bug, cause it affects nothing in the rom :)

Backlight - doesn't do anything when clicked. Screen flickers for a sec, then goes back to the settings/system screen

Clear Storage - doesn't do anything when click, screen flickers for a sec, then goes back to the settings/system screen

Device Information - all 4 tabs (version, hardware, identity, call duration show up blank

Key Lock - Apparently automatically set to "lock all buttons" Doesn't show the current setting. If you chose "do not lock buttons" when device is off .. and you turn the device off, hitting any of the keys won't turn the device on.

when you hit 'ok' ... the screen turns white and you have to hit 'ok' again in
order to go back to the settings menu.

Microphone AGC - doesn't show the current settings. Enabling or Disabling it and hitting ok, makes the screen turn white, and you have to hit 'ok' to get back to the settings menu... but when u go back into it, it doesn't show the current setting.


That's what I've found so far that wasn't working properly... most of it is petty stuff.

The Rom looks great! I love the background.

I store all my install cab files on storage cards (helps a lot with frequent flashing). This build automatically deletes CAB files after install. Any idea how do i make it stop doing that?

a simple way to prevent this is to set all your cab files to 'read only' ........ you can do so on your PC by right clicking on the cab file/s then select properties from the drop down menu {a small window will open}, and in the attributes section at the bottom of that window you will see read only just check the box next to it and press 'ok' ................... and then copy them back to your sd card, now your cabs will not get deleted unless you delete them

It is not really a temp fix cause it will always retain its 'Read only' status untill you go back and uncheck that box .............. so if you have to hardreset or update to a new rom you will have to remember to install that cab first and then that cab gets deleted so then you have to find that cab again and put back on your phone each time :rolleyes: , anywhooooo your wecome

Anyone else had a hard time flashing?

I went back to the default RUU, and tried upgrading (I'd been running a the 1.1 version for Wing before I went back to the default). First time, I got an error about the client cutting off the communication. The second time, it just went out into space (left it for 25 minutes with no success).

Anyone else run into a similar problem?

I really like this ROM (thanks itje) despite all the bugs.
I just would like to share a work-around for the office apps. Everything is in the windows folder so what you can do is just to make shortcuts of these apps and place them in the start menu/Programs folder. If you would open each application you would see that this is already the new mobile office - 2007 version.

I guess there are two ways of looking at it.
My view is that everytime I copy a new cab to my memory stick I will have to make it read only. Which is fine, but I would rather install the "disable cab delete.cab" once and not have to worry about making all future cab files read only.

Notes:

When you hard reset your device you will have to reinstall all of you cabs anyways.....

Install the "disable cab delete.cab" and not have to worry about the other cabs being deleted.

I don't know about you but the name of the cab pretty much speaks for it self.

There is no option for battery status in the programs menu unless im missing something. I know you can get the options by holding the stylus on the battery icon but usually there is an icon under the programs menu.

I chose hide battery status icon and now I cant get it back haha!:p


Edit: It also didnt come setup to use the ringtones off of the micro SD like it was with your last version.

hey man to get it back go into the today settings and recheck the batterystatus item. then it will appear on your today screen again and you can change the settings you want and then rehide it.

I've never heard of a 1200K limit.... I saw somewhere on this site, that someone changed it to 600K from 300K ... but I've never heard of 1200...

I had it set this way on the stock ROM and it worked perfectly, largest I ever tried was just over 900k.

Set the new value by going to Text/Multimedia --> Menu --> New --> MMS --> Menu --> Options --> MMS Options --> Servers --> T-mobile MMS


So the value needs to be set it the registry, then configured in the MMS server settings. Using the new Touch-IT ROM, it doesn't show up in the MMS settings after I change the registry key.

It shows the splash screen, and now its booting.

It still gave me the same errors, but I guess it worked anyways.

I successfully flashed the new rom. Only thing i did was setup battery status and turn on omap clock and then tested the power button to see if it will shut down the phone which it did not. Then i just soft reset it and now its just stuck on the white screen with the windows thinking logo the thing that goes round and round. weird

Ok seems like the soft reset had something do with omap clock on battery status as i had set it to 286mhz which i normally do and it wasn't booting up. Other then that the brightness still doesn't work. And the phone can't be powered off using the power button. i am going back to the touch it full edition until this rom becomes much more stable.

trouble with booting. Tmo Wing edition

tried to flash with Vista, won't work at all. had to load T-mobile RUU with XP.

Reflash RUU Tmo and it worked without issue. boots up fine and loaded setup.
Then ran the aserg, softreset, ran BAT, finished without errors.
press both softkey + reset + hardreset
phone won't boot out of tmobile screen after hard reset.

repeat tmobile RUU once again and ran all instructions but came to same problem. won't boot out of tmobile screen.

anyone can help me out here?

Is anyone having memory issues with this rom? I have the first release of wing touch-it and the memory suckage for program running sucks. I run a page pool of 6mb, memory runs about 22-25megs on a fresh boot-up and within a few hours im constantly droping 14, 10, 5, 3, 2, i've even gotten as low as 1.5 before gettin fed up and rebooting. These numbers are all with only active-sync and msn messenger running. I experienced the same thing with the origional wing rom but at a much much slower rate.

Question...What is really different from this ROM compared to T-Mobile's stock ROM. I know there is stuff taken out and stuff added. But I am debating if I just want to just run the stock ROM with the little extras...ie. BattStat, X-Button, HTC-Home Plugin. Because I really don't need half the stuff added. And with the LITE version I really don't want the TouchFLO. Just a question so I can see why I am doing what I am doing. Thanks!!

The Tmo Stock rom is slow and crappy. Install one of these roms, and you'll notice an immediate speed increase, before even overclocking.

I can hardly remember that my windows was once spanish. The change was worth it and from then I can't stop trying your releases. Best ones around!

2.1 is working smooth in my p4350. Only one issue was finding out that the hardware button #4 was blank (title and ap). Anyway, I was able to asign an application afterwards just by selecting it.

One more thing: in previous versions we were able to play other file types than mp3 or wav such as aac but now mediaplayer says that "The source filter for this file could not be located". Is there a way to solve this?

Once I hardreseted I thought leaving the Official Rom but when I look at my screen I know that I did great installing yours. It gave me 25Mb available both in Storage/Memmory!!!

I flashed to 2.1 and the I have the same bugs as stated previously but everythign else runs great. One thing that I noticed though (not sure on the root cause) is that my wing froze/screen locked today. It was weird though because it was a blank kinda grayish screen that it locked on. It was backlit but dark gray and blank. A simple soft-reset remedied the screen lock but I thought I'd share.

Because I have been trying and trying but can't get this thing to flash. The RUU flashes fine, but the "1_Upgrade_Rom.bat" doesn't take.

and a premium loaded rom with cube
and an experimental rom with some new features. (no nothing from touch dual, I dont have anything from that yet)

The weather options must be set with using the touchsettings located in start menu\programs\touchflo. It will not work if you use the htc home weather setting.

READ IT, If you dont, you will spend even more time infront of your computer flashing the official ruu before trying again, why waste time, use 1 min to read and understand.

IF you brick your phone (Brick=the phone can be used as a building brick, or maybe a paperweight? Because you cant start it up.) Its no others fault but your own.
Mainly the reason for bricking a phone is:
1. Not reading the instructions good enough

3. Not having a RUU that can unbrick the phone (the official installer with the official rom for your specific phone, with your phones default language. In.ex if yu have a german phone by default, you need a german RUU, if not you will get invalid vendor error)
4. Not reading the instructions good enough..again
5. Not following the instructions...again

If you dont understand after reading CAREFULLY, then dont bother flash your device with this or any other rom.

After installing Audiomanager all the MP3 are being read but not the other file type (aac). Anyhow it is a grat ROM and I still do not know wether reinstalling the previous working (for me) one or keeping that one at least for a while. :confused:

Why isn't Office Mobile working?

I remembered that there was a .cab called Office Mobile 6.1 that I had to install but I can't find it.

Can someone help?
Office didnt load up properly for some reason. I did what you were referring to and found a copy of Office Mobile 6.1 online and installed it. Works fine now

ya i absolutely get where your coming from..... i just wish i knew how to get my kitchen working cause then i would build a ROM but i cant get the SYS & OEM files too extract. im just wondering what kitchen are you using to build your cooks?? if you can release that info :P:P

sometimes it takes twice.

If you enable settings, and say you selected "top to bottom" just run the stylus from top center to bottom center. Mine will sometimes click the network icon, but all I have to do it try again and it works. Sliding it top to bottom will bring up the cube, from there you can go from left to right rotating the cube around.

upgrading roms isnt for me. For some reason i kept getting two my document folders on my storage card and i had all my ringtones,music, pictures and some other important stuff. I double checked so i wouldnt delete the wrong folder and both folders had everything in it and when i deleted one the other folder is emtpy now. Back to the stock tmobile rom i go.

There's a fix, where you change some uPNP setting to 8169 or something like that ... look into it .. it seems to have worked for me and i haven't had any problems in the past 5 days or so ... when i was having problems everyday.

naw my card isnt corrupt because that never happened before. I wish i would have just unistall the tmobile rom instead of deleted the files on my card first. How do you mirror your sd card though.

Here's the info that Duprade was referring to. Searching on these forums is a PITA. Trying this now and will see if it works. I'm also using the PDAViet x7.14 ROM

UPDATE: Nah, didn't really work. Ran Yahoo Go and some other programs to test and within a few minutes the storage card went blank. At this point I feel like keeping the SD card from getting corrupted is simply a matter of not leaving programs running...

UPDATE2: Haven't had corruption in a while, so even if it's not a complete fix, it seems to make things more stable.

I've got the ROM currently installed and love it.

Only question is how to get the MMS working. With either sending or receiving, I get the icon and notification saying that it is sending/receiving, but it stays at 0%.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

wrong link, sorry. dot have the link here now, but use the wiki and search for cabs. then find a cab for archsoft, install it. it will likly fix the issues you have.

I don't know about anyone else but according to Duprat and my findings, I don't suggest you use this or 2.1. My data isn't connecting and I can't live with that. Other than that, everything else is good.

one more thing to add to Duprat's bug list is the backlight icon in settings. Pressing it will do nothing.

haha. I'm actually an "ex real estate agent" in Atlanta, and I'm now back in school working on a degree in Political Science, to be followed with Law school... (assuming all works out correctly)

In my opinion, The Touch-It rom is really good minus the obvious bugs.. I currently use the PDAVIET rom, but I would love to switch over to the Touch-IT, because I really like where its going. The beta versions he's released I think are better than the PDAVIET in some ways, but there are just some quirks that need to be fixed.

But guys, we have to give credit to ITJE, because he is building Wing Roms, and he owns an actual HTC Herald, not a Wing.. so he has no way of testing it himself before releasing it ... so he's working blind. He can only build the rom to the best of his ability and let us test it and report back to him .. so we definitely need to give him some credit and just help him out as much as possible.... the better we help him understand the Wing, the better he can help us out when releasing new Roms or fixing bugs.

1. Trying to do this with Vista and that silly Mobile Device Center is impossible
2. Eventually did it on an XP SP2 machine with Active Sync 4.5

Notes:

I started off with the RUU (RUU_Atlas_TMO_US_4[1].1.10.531.3_4.1.13.37_03.83.90_Ship). I followed the instructions in the download package, except:

Step 5. states to run "!UPGRADE_ROM.bat" but the package only contained "1__UPGRADE_ROM.bat". I executed that one.

During the "Initializing.......*..*" phase in the command prompt output after the .BAT execution, the phone showed a dialog of "Unknown Status". I tapped "OK" (the only option).

Just FYI's for those that are going through the same agonies ;)

I got a new tool, that was supposed to clean up some files for me in my kitchen, it was supposed to work in the folder i copied it to, but the tool cleaned out my whole kitchen, actually all my .rgu files on all my roms.

so now I have lost aprox 4 months of work, well, not lost all, but have a shitload of recovery to do before a update can be released.

sucks big time, almost put me in a situation where I wanted to scrap the whole rom building...

but shit happens.

Ill try to fix the shit as fast as I can, but I have no idea when I can upp the new build.

yep. it's sad, but true. unfortunately, there are still applications that don't work on XP, and many more that fail to even install on the dreaded, horrible, absolutely pointless (IMHO) Vista.

Thank you, that actually helped. As a note, it's kind-of annoying that there is no "back" from the cube view. Oh well, it's a hundred times better (even w/out the animation) than fishing for a stylus ;). Thanks again.

I went back to the v2.1 and I noticed that this flash is actually more stable than the last time I flashed it. Plus I was playing around with the "rom_settings" app which just fascinates me. The pocketcm contacts thing is awesome. Still playing with it though!

I notice that the Comm manager can be customized to include 'IP Phone' as an item - which I assume must be for VOIP (using the WM6Voip.cab I assume). But when turned on, it seems to just turn itself back off automatically.

Does this work for anyone else?

The fact I have yet to get wifi voip working on my wing is heartbreaking, its the killer app. in my mind - would allow home phones to be recycled; 'free' calling from any hotspot, etc. But so far it seems that everyone has an issue with the Wing's voip sounds emanating from the rear speaker but at earphone levels.

hey itje i have a program that might b able to recovery ur lost data i remember my HD crashed 1 time n i had 2 format it n with this program i was able to recovery my entire 250GB HD! all u need is a secondary storage to save it on cause u cant save it on the HD ur recovery from n saving it on a different partition of the same HD doesnt work either all i need to know is email address u want it sent 2 if u want it n what file system the drive it was saved on used either fat32 or NTFS?

I posted a sticky where there is a description on how to flash using vista.
