hey guys i want to set the in call volumen. Every time i use the phone for making or receiving a call i have to turn the volumen up.

What reg i have to change?

btw im using htc mega volumen

- I am using Opal Volume Control in my ROMs. Attaching here for your reference.
- With this I need to make the volume max for the very first time the call comes. After that it is all good and stays at max (even after multiple reboots).

There is no *.rgu file in this package. So is there the two tab when you slide the volumen hardware button (System and Ring)?

In the Mega Package there is a rgu file

In the Mega Package there is a rgu file
- I guess 2 tabs are seen when you are not in a call i.e. no phone call is in progress.
- When the call is progress and you slide the hardware volume button, only 1 screen is seen. I think this is the in-call volume setting.
- With the package I posted, I have to make this volume max for the very 1st call after flashing the ROM.

Yes thats true... That is what i want to know if the package you attach has the two tabs.

Yup that's the way it's supposed to work in Touch Pro and Devices after that.

The Avoid Confusion sticky has a link to this thread, correct? Then we can just leave it as it is.

I think the main thing we would need as a minimum for stickies is this:

- An explanation on Elf and Elfin and terms used (CID, Model ID, page pools, shipped vs cooked ROMs, etc.)
- A guide on how to flash, and what to flash
- Explain the diffs between Hard SPL / USPL / White screen flashing
- Unbrickers
- Link to cooking thread and kitchen

This will prevent the recent surge of bricked Elf threads ;)

Yeah i was thinking about those two SPL stickies and how those could get merged into one maybe. The less the better.

Personally i always like to see at least one Kitchen thread, one Roll Up thread with Issues and One Unlocking thread.

Hypercore is a little outdated, most of us haven't been using that for three years now.

There's loads of newer replacement kitchens out there.

Have found the basics of what i need to know, still not confident to try on my elf yet as i need it untill my touch 3g is fixed.

i can learn the basics with the device emulator kitchen and build confidence tho so ..

yeah but im scared to flash my elf with a cooked rom until i have a fair idea that i havent screwed up lol. was planning to use hypercore have been having a play with it, but the man just said its outdated.
i learn by doing, and if i get stuck by watching or asking lol :), but i will look into ervius kitchen right now ;)

buddy once u hard spl your elf it will never break,this is my gaurantee..
u can flash any rom...
but once u flash any stock rom then u have to again hspl it lol....:D:D:eek::eek:

i was wondering that, so if i try cooking and it all goes pear shaped what your saying is il ALWAYS be able to access bootloader mode right ?

in witch case il give it a bash with the real thing, just really dont want to screw up my phone i like it lol, and till i fix my touch 3g , shes all i got lol :)

Just be sure never to include IPL or SPL into the rom your flashing :) Those can leave you screwed up seriously.

that's what I thought but now its been confirmed by one of the main men my fear has gone :).
also, im using a spl that has overwrite protection, so in theory even if im half asleep and accidently cook in a spl\ipl, as long as im using RUU to flash it shoud always refuse to flash I think.

from the limited playing around iv done most kitchens only work with the os portion, im so stupid at times.
I'll av a go at cooking some time in the near future :)

Hi All,

I am trying to build a Elfin Rom with Latest 24618 build and included EXT from Latest Mega 6.5 Official Rom.

The problem is that I am able to boot with New Rom, but it hangs with white screen on welcome screen if I am using Visual Kitchen. I have used Oskitchen and I passed the Welcome screen by entering calibration Data Inside the kitchen. I am able to boot but not able to use any functions. touch screen gives me heptic feedback that's it nothing else is happening.

Please help me to solve this issue, is this the problem with the new builds or Ext packages from Mega creating a problem. No Idea.......:mad:
