Hallo everybody.
I have a corporate sim without Internet traffic, so I would have a second private SIM card to use to surf Internet.
I was looking at Simore solution
http://www.simore.ch//en/mobile_phone_accessory/HTC/TOUCH.html
I have some doubt, because the SIM insertion space is very very tiny.
Someone has tested another solution yet? Thanks

Well, if you were to look at the installation guide video (bottom of each product page), you would see that, the dual sims method they are using is by trimming your existing sim for the job. Hence, you basically cut your existing SIM to almost 1/2 size of a normal SIM, and put it into the adapter, which is a standard SIM size, hence ought to work (with all phones, size matters). Howver, it is surprising that the smaller one cost less than the bigger version

I have it!
It's easy work to make your sims the size it's required to be. Just use a very sharp scissor as it will make the progress easier.
My Vodafone simcard works flawlessly, though my t-mobile simcard refuses to do anything. Might be because i cut it the wrong way / too far inside / or the t-mobile sims are just bitches.
Fitting in the slot isn't that big of a problem, getting it out it.
You need some patience to get it out, but once everything works flawlessly, you'll never need switch sims again.
Ill post images if people want to see it.

www.ebay.com It cost me €10 and some patience instead of ±€15 exc. shipping fees :)
If you know dutch here's a shop that sells them.
http://www.dual-sim.nl/
and i have a (maybe not too elegant) solution for the issue of removing.
Cut a can in pieces, cola can, bullit can, whatever can.
then cut a piece to shape so that it firmly fits between the metal "housing/holder" and your sim cards, with a piece sticking out side of the housing next to the "stop". (see pictures for more explanation)
If you see it you'll understand what i mean.

I too have this issue... Will both of the phone numbers ring when inserted or do you have to make one the master and the other one redundant if you know what i mean? I have 2 business phone numbers - dont ask! - and i would love to have them both on my Elf.
I am sick of carrying 2 phones around and would love a all in one solution... Especially since my other phone is very close to dying at the moment!

no. you can't get both working at the same time. you'll have to switch on/off (e.g. flight mode) to switch between them. only one can work. there are, however, some phone from china that uses a dual-sim phone (a whole phone, their phone, not sim adapter) that, as according to them enable both sims to work at the same time. these china folks are gooood.

So you say that there's no problem to insert the metal case into the ELF Sim slot ? This is my major question, because I think that the tool is absolutely good, but I'm concerned about the room to insert it into an ELF sim'slot.
Thanks to all.

3G/UMTS networks should work. My manual said if needed switch to manual network and choose 3G/UMTS.
Vidcalls i wouldn't know

Hi Maseo, where did you purchase the dual sim adapter and do you think it will work on a TyTN2 ? Should it function with the DUALSIM TODAY software ?
Thanks !

i saw a simcard to which you can clone around 16 simcards, so you will have an additional menu where you can select which sim to use. you won't need to cut your sim - just a small usb-stick sized device which will read data and settings from your sim and will record it to the new simcard. you will still be able to use your original sim afterwards!
imho, this is a better solution. the only downside is that not all sims can be read.

I've heard about that. The previously mentioned dual-sim.nl has such a dual-sim adapter as well: http://www.dual-sim.nl/product_info.php/products_id/148 (the dutch version) and http://www.dual-sim.eu/product_info.php/products_id/137 for the English version.
Drawback is that only V1 simcards (the very old ones) can be used for this tool. Nonetheless, the card has a regular dual-sim function as well.

It has dual radio so you can have both sim cards active, with the sim kit adapter basically you can switch between sims to make calls but only one of them will be active at any one time which in many cases isnot that useful

I used this one http://www.dual-sim-adapter.com/dual-sim.html with my elfin and it's ok.
I have no problem for switching between sim cards.
I insert in my elfin, the digital twincard without the cover only with tape.
I like my elfin with dual-sim. :D

I tried the SIMORE Platinum. Big mistake! Having cut my card to pieces (you have to cut all surplus plastic off your SIM card, leaving just the gold contact area) I found that once mounted on the Simore unit it was still too fat to fit into my Blackberry 9000 Bold. Having struggled to get it in, the phone reported no SIM card installed. I removed and checked the contacts, switched the two SIMs and even tried in another mobile. Nothing worked. Simore took two days to reply to my request for help. They have been useless! Their last suggestion was to sandpaper the SIM cards for better contact. At that point I decided enough was enough and asked them to replace the unit or issue a full refund. Their reply: no to both because they would not be able to sell the Simore to anyone else.
Be warned – use this company/product at your peril. Remember, you effectively destroy your SIM cards in the process.

Have to agree with Tourex above - cowboy product, cowboy company. Just check out the demonstration/training videos on their site to see what amateurs they are - and the product is much the same.

I bought the Simore Platinum but didnt get it to work.
Cut a dutch t-mobile and vodafone sim, both work with the provided adapters.
On the Platinum, in both a nokia 6700 and htc touch pro, there is no simcard detected.
Tried switching the Sims on the Platinum but that didnt work.
Simore support repeated itself by reffering to instruction video's on its site. They suggested adhering an extra layer of tape, to resolve 'contact trouble'. This also didnt work.
I send it back for RMA but Simore support says the warranty is void because my tampering damaged the product.
Lost 78 euros on a nice promise...

I bought the Simore Infinite V8 for my Samsung galaxy S.
I can have my 2 numbers on my mobile and no problem for switching between sim cards.
For me it's a very good product.

Well if you let a company keep your money after giving you bad service your just encouraging them. Most dual Sims are very cheaply made in China for about £1 & lots will be faulty although the software may well be fine.
Pay for things like that with PayPal. If its genuinely doesn't work & the company ignores you or refuses to refund, give them a second chance to sort it out & if no joy simply do a chargeback via PayPal its buyer protection.

Completely agree with pachy69. I've got a load of experience with these things and i've found the 28th gen magicsim to be the most reliable hands down. Plus the company i got mine off have the best customer service i've ever experienced.
Simore are bad news... for the price alone!
