also i, i've shutted down all connections but battery status say a 140-160mA of battery drain! wih my VI it was only 80-90mA!

the problem with VIII seams to e wifi if you have used it once it does not unload and the dll keeps running and only a sr closes it down

exactly, i've done an HR and only installed the extrom, bs say 140-150mA!
so i think is the Rom...

now i'm testing the IX perfect! 80-90mA after HR so great job!

IX has all the same apps and added the customizer for comm manager and phone also aded the TFsetting that lets you choose how to activate the cube

hi gullum, i'm currently use IX but the customisator for comm manager i haven't found.. so i've putted the one found here in xda.

TFsetting there is also in the VIII rom..

and for last windows live putted in IX don't work.. hehe must be overinstall the fixed version.. and now ok!

Hi Gullum,

This is a GREAT, STABLE and BEAUTIFUL rom. Had some trouble installing it, though. But now all works fine. I like to share my experiences for those who might encounter the same. First I used pdamobiz step 1 and then tried to install your ROM. It kept failing half way copying the main image. I entered bootloader mode and flashed back to pdamobiz step 1 and tried again. Several times the same error. Then I tried pdaviet_temp step 1 (which is aku 2.2. I think) and afterwards your ROM: succesfull!

I've tried a lot ROMS past months and I just love this ROM. Thank you for your effort.

I downloaded and installed TouchVIII successfully and was very happy with it, but decided to try Mysterious1.1. This too installed without problem except I preferred the performance and functionality of TouchVIII and so decided to re-install it. All seemed to go well but the extrom with the additional apps didn't start this time. The tools section had standard icons for the apps but none of the required files were available.
This has got me totally puzzled and probably well embarrassed when someone points out an obvious oversight.

Suggestions and help appreciated.

You will need to flash wm5 from bootloader and then you should be able to flash any rom you like after that

Hi Gullum,

I had installed Prophet Touch IX and its working fine and earlier only one issue is Camera templates so i installed HTC Camera 4.11.

Recently i had found that my WM jamin goes to off mode and no keys works, screen will be black and active green link blinks.

To find out i tried to call my WM from other mobile to check if my WM is active or stop working, and its working but i'm not able to see any activity by my WM. Its not ringing or vibrating.

Can you please tell me is their any solution for this.

I have been using touch VIII for about 1 month and it has been working great until this morning. Stable, fast, reliable. The unit gets past the Prophet Touch Gullum VIII then it beeps and turns off. I just did a hard reset and now it beeped but instead of turning off it got stuck at the prophet touch Gullum VIII screen. Anyone had a similar issue?

Another strange thing is, that the volume slider dosen't seem to take effect. While talking I slide it to the minimum, but the volume is still loud (to loud).

But anyway...this ROM rocks!!!

Anyone found a solution to turn down the volume? I find it too loud and the volume slider doesn't seem to work?

I think it would be great if the ring volume would be louder and the volume of incoming call would be turned down a bit.

And one more thing....would be nice if there were a few more nice ring tones to choose from...

...otherwise agree with all the others it's a fabuolus ROM. Lot's of nice apps, stable, FAST...gullum thanks again for sharing this with us!

you have to coock a new rom with it thoses files are ment for nanoscopic rom kitchen or any kitchen for that mather.

go to the rom histoyr link in my signature and look in the nanoscopic kitchen thread how to change language

i got almost the same pb with the prophet VII and VIII, using Wifi. Impossible to restart the device, i 'll have to reflash and lost all my informations and settings ... Gullum do you know this bug ??

Try to turn off your device after do all the settings, BT, soft-keys, etc... not soft reset and turn it on after.

and system hangs.


The symptoms:

could hang the system (mostly at second start).

- Copy the ExtROM to the device (example /ExtendedROM/)

- never look back in /Extended_ROM/ it could be more horrible

I have a Blue Angel and recently upgraded using the Helmi Rom, which doesnt come with a Cube.

Is there anyway i can maybe use this rom for the CUBE?

My concern is how to get the cube on my Blue Angel?

hi...i m totally new to this webby.and i really like the way that yr guys 818 pro looks.I have already completed step one of the upgrading process.when i tried to do the 2nd step,it did not go through..and shown the below message.Can some kind souls guide me the light.I m using a G4.at the end of the error msg also have the congulation msg.

I'm sorry but I don't have a htc touch so I don't know how you flash a touch but you will need to flash a touch rom somehow to get it working. you will need to get some help from someone on the elf forum I'm afraid.

Ok, this is a risky post mister kamalneet. I have learned a lot from my flashing and am very happy with the work done by Gullum, but don't try to point me out as stupid. Most users experience the same BT bug, why would that come up with "wrong flashing"? I've had it in Prophet Touch VII and VIII, updating according to manual given here, al step by step with a G4 S200, more likely to be in the ROM.

Actualy I'm surprised you haven't mentioned "the battery" as a cause, as you often do.

By the way, i've posted several times al small bugs I experienced so Gullum could perfect his ROM. Why did he never react to these posts? Because I did flashing wrong?

Noticed some bugs though:

* GPRS settings broken, (can't set up mms settings for Belgium/Base through network wizard, www works)
* Phonepad SIP method not working
* No links in Start\Programs to Excel, Word, peekpocket, adobe reader ... which I *can* see in settings\Button assignment

How can I fix the start menu problem? Did I flash it incorrectly? (G4 prophet)

The GPRS thing is still an issue though. Any workarounds available to input these settings manually?

You need to make it visible with a cab or, and this is what i prefer you use total commander (use search or gooogle) and type extended_rom in addressline.

I tried to change my rom into the shiny looking ProphetTouchVIII.
I followed the exact steps.
After hard resetting nothing had changed, I think de extended rom was not loaded somehow.
I tried again to upgrade the rom during the stylus configuration screen, but the screen whent white and now i can reboot anymore. I get stuck at the first booting screen.
I think my ROM is broken, can anyone help. please ..

Hi All,

I've been using this ROM for a couple of weeks now, and for the most part, It's performed very well. However, I do have a few problems:

1) The screen seems to become misaligned very easily, and I have to regularly align it again.

2) Screen taps/drags are very unresponsive. I usually have to click firmly, and pause briefly before I can then drag. Otherwise, the UI doesn't seem to realise that I'm dragging.

Could this issue (and no. 1) be related to the "flow" or "touch" interface? If so, I'd rather have responsive click/drag, so is there any way to disable the touch interface?

3) The speaker often goes into mute/vibrate mode. I've noticed that this seems to happen more often when I'm connected to ActiveSync, but that could just be a coincidence.

I wonder if this is related to the HTC "auto" profile? I'm not using auto, but just "normal". As a related issue, is there any way to edit the settings for these profiles?

4) Battery life. The batter life seems to be very poor. I see that other people have had this problem as well, so at least it's a known issue. Some people say to remove HTC camera 4.11, but as far as I know, I don't have it installed, and there's certainly no option to uninstall it in "add/remove programs". Also, for the record, I don't use or have enabled wifi, bluetooth, or gprs.
