HTC Herald stuck on Vodafone logo...

i've got a device that is stuck on the vodafone logo.
tried HR - not helping
tried Rom upgrade to several roms (through bootloader) - the procedure stopts at 2% with the message " Error[294] : invalid vender ID"

what can i do (don't have vodafone service center in Israel, shipping elsewhere not worth it...) ?

it is probably bricked that means you have to Update is to the Original ROM.

Pleas read all the post in this forum and you will find out

En als je NL bent dan ben je genaaid want dan kan je niet aan de originele ROM komen. Dus zou je hem naar HTC moeten sturen en die bieden geen support op Vodafone branded toestellen. En btw vodafoon zelf ook niet. Dus dan ben je genaaid. Einde HTC totdat vodafone WM6 update uitbrengt of de originele wm5 ROM vrij geeft. Best lullig maar leg hem maar in een kast en blijf vodafone bellen.

btw als je het forum eerst had gelezen dan wist je dit voordat hij gebricked werd.

How do i even know what was the original rom ?
it wasn't me who buy it...
the cover is unbranded, it's black & sais HTC on it.
any ideas...?
