two roms. not for all, though...
i am thinking about new release...unimportant for most.

name it as 4.0.0.0 old rom experiment that driven me for 3 months.. it is old 5.2.1413 ROM, tweaked and modified..

there's no EXTrom, splash, radio parts in 'em. everything you can see on screens is inside ROM(OS file)....

4mb pp both, address $378556 , 4.5 mb may be optimal.
1/5 of soft is installed from cabs while autorun process(freq. updated soft, autorun may be cancelled by softreset after calibration) , most is builtin(in rom).

things to be considered:
- "today time out" should be turned off(it may save battery...) - /menu start/settings/today .
- clock visible everywhere - /menu start/settings/system/clock&alarms tab "more".
- /menu start/programs/xo/install/ contains all cabs used in autorun process, and more cabs(universal useful freeware).
- "fat" rom has pocketage and today agenda plugins - worth to check.

btw, tcpmp, that i used has every useful plugin, that i found(flv, subtitles, wmv, ac3 etc) + preconfig to work ok on wizard.
there is effiicient pdf reader, great ebook reader, many useful programs...
it may take some time to get around.

2. Is this ROM based on Mun_Rus 4.0.0. ? That was (is) the best ROM, if you cleared and completed ( PIE was not working), it will be the best ROM, with a huge memory, what I need because of using IGO.

i am working on release, clean version will be uploaded very soon(erm..few hours), i decided to add gsgetfile and tgetfile dlls, need to check upxed dlls too.
loaded version needs some localisation registry removal, and few dlls restoration. there is potential problem with WakeUp program - must check this one too.
nothing serious, not much time, tho....

could you (also) put the WKtask task manager ?

this is funny part;
if you look on loaded rom screen you may see, that wktask is there too, v 1.0.0.7 - as cab to manual installation - pbar is loaded by startup -it is smallest most stable method i found, but i left wktask as alternative - now by removing pbar's shortcut from /startup all you need to do is to install wktask from cab.
why cab?

answer is simple:
every serious program, that may have near update is left as cab in /menu start/xo/install/ dir. some of them are preinstalled on autorun process.
these are possible to install/uninstall(list may change, though):

i.e. batterystatus is good thing to be uninstalled sometimes(i.e. before update), this is method for doing this.
another example: you got newer java? no problem, uninstall old one(cab is still in rom though, just in case), install newer one,

maybe i am strange, but i think it is good idea(i had space, so why not..)...

maby you'll beat it's right's ROM

second thing - without anichillus, its right, mr.frazz, double_ofour work(and many more people, in general) these couldn't be done...i drilled what i found.

That's a negative, Sir. Already have that one and it doesn't show up on the Today screen when it's enabled. The one from the OCTAIVOI ROMs works really well, and it's in color. I think it's listed as HTC Touch UI HOME v1.5 B62 or something like that. But thank you for your help thus far. I'm no n00b but it seems that people used to want to help others more in this forum (like yourself :) ). However, the trend I'm seeing shows otherwise. Thank you again for your kindness.

if ie problems will occur...
you need uncheck tick in /menu start/settings/connections/usb to pc "enabled advanced usb functionality" to make it working while usb connected.
on gprs, it may be needed to change /menustart/settings/connections/connections tab advanced, select networks, AND chg "my isp" to my work network. it may sound strange..but should work, if any problems will occur.

"fat" version soon, i've fever, cannot concentrate on this right now(i can assure you it does exist, though)..

i strongly recommend "fat" rom, base one were made from it...it may sound strange...

baserom is not my destination; so it may not work as "fat" one, that is main thing, that i do care...

- new BS,
- small reg changes.

I flashed the basic one, works very well, it seems to be almost the same then Mun_rus 4.0.0.0 (even then PIE homepage problem is in it), but fast, faster then the basic Mun_rus 4.0.0.0 was .

No I think you misunderstand me... I mean they are really long screenshots. Not the size of the image itself, but from the taskbar to the today bar at the bottom, they are really long like they're stretched or something. I just thought it was interesting looking. I had never seen anything like that.

Simply I can't believe how Great is this ROM ! it's incredibly FAST ! and so much RAM in my hands to play with. Your rom looks nice! Going to test it. How is battery life? What radio rom are you using?

Currently i'm on [final] - Wrcx 5.2.1437 rom. Which has a newer build and is also nice. So i'm not quite sure if i'm going to reflash. But newer is not always better! And I like the software in the "fat" one.

Anyway... :-) Keep up the good work!

i cannot say anything about battery, as i used newest BS build in release - earlier one, preconfigured had no problem at all(but - bs config "may" have its infuence-mA meter etc useless things, imo, also cpu meter "may" be problem too, if set to anything, but 0(zero!), so i am always setting this to 0).

i'm using 2.25.11 and did not noticed "missing calls"(i think i never had that issue in general, but i am using that radio whatever i'm flashing), or anything problematic..

i am thinking about another build, as few things aren't exactly as i want:
- notepad is not exactly behaving as it should - you MUST save file before close(otherwise it's gone),
- BS preconfig seems to be not suitable for current release(its not exaclty problem, but registry seems to be changed).
- "naked" rom is faster, than "fat" one a bit - hard to say why, need to investigate(maybe elatepushservice.lnk in /startup has its influence..hmm - you may want to remove it - no visible problem with it),
- cannot decide which date format should i use(AM/PM or 24 hrs...)...
- it would be nice, if i find space for voip in "fat" one...it may be HARD..
- i should make full list of apps included...have no idea how to do that :S

and remember - there is NO WLIVE in both. i am not going to add it, its useless,imo.

btw, "fat" paradox pocketage has few icons, that you may treat as ...test.
I love that piece of soft(png's transparency is piece of cake, small filesizes etc). PAge is.. lacking of few things(cleartype, and others), but it it still one of best, imo(horizontal placing of today plugins(!)).

wait a minute...

registy files (.reg) can be opened with notepad. look what is in there:
"DLL"="\\Programme\\PocketAGE\\PocketAGE.dll"
just edit and save, nothing more.
so, if you put \pocketage folder in program files, then, that path should look like this:
"DLL"="\\Program Files\\PocketAGE\\PocketAGE.dll"

DO NOT TRY to install today plugin on sd card, NEVER.

i told you, that it is not easy...sometimes.

there is free software included in "fat" rom to import registry - /menu start/programs/xo/sys/regedit, which is icon to taskmanager2.7's regedit function.

Try flashing the rom firts with T-Mobile 2.26 ROM, this will fix any error and them flash again with Paradox Rom.

Mates I downgraded my wizard with the above prodigy official T-mobile rom. and now trying to upgrade to Paradox Fat Series. and what happed each time. the progress shows 100% but when the wizard restarts there is no Paradox again its the old rom. so its not upgrading my wizard.

i have spl 2.26 and ipl 2.26 its a G3 wizard.
any suggestion or software. which will work for my device.?

wireless - just works!
bluetooth - just works!

active sync - while exchanged enabled - just works! ( believe me, it's broken on quite a few builds )
apps - interesting selection - most just work!

you even included a nice selection of 'time-savers' and very useful shortcuts ( including device navigation reg hacks ) anyhoo..... good job man!

oh - for the folks trying to get HTC Home Plugin working...this build I used from the Hermes forum works well : HTC.Kaiser.Home.Eng.0409.6Tab ( 2015618 bytes ) : I can attach it later if anyone needs it...

Great roms, used your base one for almost a week and it just works great and its fast.
Today i flashed your fat one and it had good memory on the startup but when i start using the phone the memory goes down considerably even after closing everything, from 33 mb to 25 mb.
But both the roms are amazing, hope you can solve this issue otherwise your fat one is also a great Rom.

4.0.0.0 fat rom it what i was using(with modifications) for 3 months, and it is stone stable for my needs...
now, i am about to release my custom rom made with:

it is paradox, but with new core and some new software(but simple dialer, simple conmgr)....
less mem, though... 4.0.0.0 seems to be best for mem amount so far....
newer are faster, though, and it is possible to have more soft in rom,too.
new one is stable, so far + better ad2p...i hope so.
i added sql, voip, and more to fat one...
(unusable keyboards, wlive, enterprise, autoupdate removed), i am about to add euro kbd with intl letters too.
more info soon..

i must say again: these roms are not for fresh ppc users, minimal ppc user knowledge is required to... see why it is done.

that new rom is faster - it is not strange, just observation(gui is faster, even tcpmp seems to be faster) - and no, it is not lighter - it contains more soft, than paradox 1...but i madeit noinvasive, everything is just ready to be used, not turned on...
only pain is that it has less ram free(but it is normal with >4.0.0.0 roms :( ).
i am not sure if i am gonna release it.. it is based on theloon kitchen, but very modified, imo..

i have the same problem with the vanilla version, it doesn't cleanly dump. i also encountered some issues with the build, mostly freezes, not being able to end calls, and other strange misc issues. i see no reason to go to the latest builds, i mean loon's kitchen is 318 because it's stable!

however, im currently ripping apart your fat version to make my own kitchen. it truly is the best build i've run (which is pretty much all of them here), stable, and i have had no issues. my only gripe is the comm manager and the version of arcsoft has some strange issues, but the build itself is rock solid. i'm surprised that the 4mb pagepool works so well, i always figured that larger was better, but this is extremely fast for me.

did you start this one from doubleofours 1413 kitch? ive used that one as well as your base and neither seemed as snappy, so you must have done something :) i also have the original 1413 dogfood, but im starting with yours and pulling it back rather than try to redo the dogfood, why mess with what works? thanks for the build!

situation:
1933 with almost same mem amount(as 4.0.0.0), newer soft versions and some more programs + preconfigs etc,etc...

pbar is VERY good, BUT... i found something, that is just awesome(with my preconfig, of course..)...quickmenu...awesome, configurable piece of software.

btw, i need to make manual for Paradox - i.e. there is VERY useful softkey/dpad configuration now(quickmenu,smartskeys,system settings):
- left softkey hold is launching quickmenu(NO MORE startmenu!),
- right softkey hold is closing app,
- red phone button is minim(al)ising app,
etc etc..

this ROM is something like very complicated brick that takes hours to learn...

my english is too poor to make such manual, i am afraid...but i will try; i need to think 'bout it, as many things are not visible on first look...

clean build does not exist yet...i meant to make one from fat build just stripped to the bone...

generally - speed and memory usage are both not related to contents - clean is as fast as loaded one...rest is just oemoperators config(read - dependant of what you loaded onto today, etc).
this is not touch rom.. all these icons are just programs that are ..waiting to be launched, not active all the time...

treat this posts as loose talk, i did not say that i release something..
just imagine potential of new machines - with kitchens like wizard ones....

I don't usually post on this site. I have used many of the roms that are posted on this site. I downloaded this rom have installed it, and I am quite impressed with it's speed and functionality. I don't know about all the rom numbers, and what those entail, but I just wanted you to know that this one runs smoother and faster than any I have tried. I wait for the newest roms, so that I can flash my device. I don't think I will be looking for a while now. Thanks

I tried, but I haven't been able to come up with a solution. The fat rom really looks good (the best all around), with one caveat - wifi no longer works. Unfortunately, I use wifi a lot, so I'm hoping someone has a fix or some suggestions that might lead to a resolution.

i don't believe i ever had issues with the wifi on paradox4, does the wait indicator just sit there and spin when you try to turn on wifi and then it goes away? or does it just never connect to anything?

The indicator briefly spins then stops - no matter how many times I activate wifi under the comm manager. However, I've discovered a work-around. If I click on the turn on wifi option under the wifi icon menu, the wifi then connects. Initially, the first connection fails - whether I'm connecting with Live or IE, but after that, all seems well.

I have found one other minor issue. If I put the phone into standby or turn it off, the SD card is no longer recognized, and I have to re-insert it.

I'm also a happy user of your paradox 12.02 rom. It's fast, stable and loaded with a lot of usefull applications, which are cooked in the rom! I think it's brilliant, you're a good cooker!

Still hope you will be releasing a new rom, with an english version of wakeup and pocketCM. My polski isn't very good. ;)

I am using my Wizard since 2005 November. I tried almost all the ROMs published here. I am a heavy user of IGO navigation and Wifi internet browsing. For the IGO I need huge memory. For the Internet browsing I need a fast device.
What I do NOT need :

Windows Live
any cube
any finger driven memory eaters
and so on

I should tell you (to everyone) that Nothin's ROM is simply the best for me.
I even have my own IGO benchmark test to check the ROMs, this ROM is the fastest.
Nothin as I said earlier, if you have even better ROM please publish, or at least send me a download link.

-new dialpad
-new commgr
need to replace it with old ones(you know which ones - these edited black minimal from 318 builds) to save som e ram.
need more space too - there's no mms for now, and no java.
actually, i think there's not enough memory(31.4 mb after boot with camera driver on..:( )

there will be no windows live, additional keyboards(eurokbd and defauld only), and standard today plugins(i've added todayagenda, batterystatus,aidate).

actually - rom seems to be fastest thing i ever used(gui, system, tcpmp and emus).
of course - rom is all-in-one type - lots of soft, preconfigs and additional dlls, specific config(today plugins, autorun,startup, etc), BUT it is still clean ROM(if you will not install shortcuts cab).

of course, cabs ane in rom, not extrom, soft too, no ipl/spl/no splash/no radio in that one, so i think it is g4 friendly too..

I think u should put the camera album in new version. Cause everibody likes that usefull program and there are several versions that doesnt work with your base rom. I tried 5 of them and only 1 works with font problem and everytime the application was started i had to choose the folder with pictures. Was annoying. Thats all i wish :D

I tried TNT 6.1 Official.
I set the pagepool to 4 MB, removed everything rom Windows startup, all the today plugins, some of the services.
I installed pocketbreeze, ilauncher, phonealarm, pocketinformant (600 + contacts).
Now at startup I have 29,2 MB of free memory (with your 5.2 clean was 30,5 MB)
The menus are faster, overall performance is faster the only problem is that in PIE sometimes are receive the message " Script makes slow your device" . Your ROM was the only one without this message. How did you do that ?

Very interesting that IGO navigation system is VERY accurate now with TNT ROM, I am not sure that this is because of the ROM or something else (if the ROM then the bluetooth driver, I have a bluetooth GPS receiver).

So my ask would be to you to take the next TNT ROM and clean it (you are the best to clean ROMs)
