Good Afternoon Mike,

Thank you for contacting HTC Europe.? There will not be a patch for the new memory card technology SDHC, the phone you have got was made long before the technology was around, so therefore is not a feature on the HTC 3300

Thank you for your enquiry, Should you have any other problem, please do not hesitate to call us. Your Local number can be found at http://www.europe.htc.com/support/csbyphone.html

Best regards,
Dawn Blandford

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the SDHC technology was available long before the HTC P3300 was released.

Isn't this the same technology that we used with SD cards in our old PPC's with WM03? I can use a 4GB SD card in my old Toshiba E755.

Well, not necessarily. All SD cards 8 Gb and above are SDHC. All SD cards 2 Gb and below are NOT SDHC. 4 Gb SD cards should all be SDHC, but in practice, lots of vendors offer non-SDHC versions.

So you're saying that I can get a 4GB card to work in my Artemis that's not SDHC? If so, got a link to who sells these?

the problem is that artemis devices use microSD cards and not standard SD cards. i have yet to see any 4GB non-SDHC microSD card...

I think they want to included this in new models and use it as a new feauture....including it in an older model wouldn't be very wise from their point of view....

There is a difference guys between SD SDHC and microSD SDHC:

SD more than 4GB = SD SDHC
microSD more than 2GB = microSD SDHC

Gotcha. Really, a 2GB card would be plenty but TomTom Maps are the only thing that make a 4GB card look way more appealing to me. Unless your just carring around a bunch of media files, 2GB would suffice for most people. Guess that was their thinking
