Phil is releasing it, vanilla or not, somethings cant be removed because it is required for the device to be able to work directly after hard reset

Is there any such ROM that is posted or shared here that doesn't work right after a Hard Reset? Pardon me but that sound so stupid that why would any one post or share his ROM that doesn't work right after a Hard Reset.

What im trying to say is, someone wanted a real vanilla as in almost nothing installed at all. But certain things have to stay, like Task Manager and File manager, so that you can use it directly after hard reset.

It can still work without File Manager, but how are you going to install? The only way would be via AS, but isnt it ridiculous, what if you need to hard reset in an emergency outside your hse, how are you supposed to access your files?

Ok so how do you differentiate a Vanilla to your "so-called" Real Vanilla?

AFAIK, a Vanilla release should not contain (and installed) ANY THIRD PARTY Applications, thus it is more likely to be an RTM version, and they do come with those stuffs you've mentioned (HTC File Manager and HTC Task Manager). Are those apps categorized as Third Party Apps? I don't think so.

There is somewhat a little confusion about the term Vanilla here, IMHO, an RTM like version would be most likely categorized as a Vanilla, but not an OEM released version.

------------

I am still waiting for Phil's release too, May it be Vanilla or whatever..i'm excited. :) Goodluck to us!

@ericjm - Let me try your Vanilla buddy tapos release mo na! hehehe

I'm just trying to make it clear to some people on vanilla, i dont understand why it seems like somehow i have offended you. besides that, vanilla would have all the crap default pictures and games removed.

Since some people insisted that even some of the standard apps are removed such as file manager and task manager, i just want to make it clear and let them know, fine if you are already good enough to understand it, my explanation is not targeted to you
