creating your own splash screens

does anyone know how can i make my own custom splash screens? i know i something on here about this but i cant find it and this search tool sucks.

HyperCore Kitchen (see sticky at the top of this forum for it) has all of the tools and will pretty much step you through doing your own splash screens.
