Reflashed my phone a couple times and I think I've found the culprit.

SPB Weather seems to be causing the start-up lag. Even if you uninstall it, the lag will remain. Below are the steps I did:
1. Fresh Install (after letting the auto-customization and initial reset go)
2. First Reset
3. Install SPB Weather
4. Second Reset
5. Uninstall SPB Weather
6. Third Reset

After each step, I exported the registry. It is attached below if anyone wants to analyze them and try to find what's causing the lag.
My guess would be installing SPB Weather adds a new start-up service that either takes a lil while to run or is never run and the OS has to wait for a time-out before proceeding with the boot sequence.

Or it leaves rubbish in Windows directory (just guessing, I do not have SPB Weather, but I know that WM6 is quite sensitive about too many files there).

Trying out the Professional + HTC Home + New Radio... w IPL/SPL 3.08 and GSM 2.19.11UK
On a fresh install... very quick at ~30s...
However after installing some programs... it hits a point where the start-up is extremely sluggish... 2-3 MINUTES sluggish...

Initially installed Voice Command, BatteryStatus, and SPB Mobile Shell... restarting after each one and the boot-up was still ~30s. After installing SPB Weather... it starts to be very slow on boot-up. NO RECOVERIES WERE RUN... However, I did sync the phone w/ the Contacts and Tasks/Appointments on my computer.

Uninstalling SPB Weather, boot-up is still slow so not too sure what's going on... I also have the Touch Dialer skin installed and deleted InitTray, BtIO, poutlook and DrYar from Startup if that affects anything.

UPDATE: Uninstalled everything and still lagging... only things I didn't do so far is remove Owner/Device info and some minor tweaks like touchscreen sensitivity, bar thickness, CommManager button ordering etc... and re-flash the phone. Starting to suspect that Activesync may have done something?

As for my overall experience, this version definitely runs smoother than the TouchFLO version (noticed occasional stuttering when loading/running apps). I find it more responsive and no longer experiencing the loss of reception problem (at least for now). Also noticing a slight lag when going between tabs under Settings initially.

For the TNT followers out there, how do you find this version compared to the 1437?

Ok.. i experience such scenario with my MDA Vario once. I gave a market pro to flash it to the lastest ROM. He flashed it to IPL/SPL 2.26 of T-Mobile.. now every thing went dead slow..it was extremely slow for some reason...he was a stupid person , he couldnt figure out problem and flashed it back to ipl/spl 1.xx.. things were normal

then i went on to flash it with HTC 1921..

First i confirmed that my device was CID Locked.
So i unlocked it with WST.. then i flashed it to T-mobile Ruu ipl/spl/radio/2.26
then i changed its radio ROM ONLY to 2.19 UK.
so now i had ipl/spl 2.26 and radio 2.19UK
then i flashed TNT1921 pro with HTC home

I did not upgrade it to IPL/SPL 3.xx as far as i know they run the wizard slow. just as u told. right now with ipl/spl 2.26 it boots very fast..and now hanging issue at all.. may b u need to bring the ipl/spl down to 2.xx series with radio 2.19

i had a problem with the missed calls..
then i reinstalled the radio 2.69 [farias RUU], reflashed the TNT rom & now everything is ok
no more missed calls...
i don't know why.....

i am using the latest TNT (new radio etc.) and yes! it seems to work for the first time - no missed calls!!!!

RADIO 2.69.

cheers,
waiting for touch flow...

Hi, as far I know Mobile justice works only with a inside built gps. Since the wizard does not have any ( I use a bt external one) why do we have in the rom? there is any way I should to make it works properly?
I have a G4 locked device and my impression is that it worked smoother and faster with the previous version 1437. I will try to fash the 10mb and see... the megaupload site it is not available to Venezuela, do you have oter link?
thanks for your answer:)

Hi guys, I'm new to the community.

I first heard about this whole unlocking and flashing roms business this morning. Since then, I have been reading most of these forums from top to bottom. I got my 8125 unlocked, downloaded and tried a whole slew of roms, until I came across TNT's which I like best. Props to the team responsible for this project!

Now, I have an embarrassing question. After hours of poking around these forums and successfully unlocking and flashing, I am having one hell of a time figuring out how to install the add ins, namely the TNT cube cab. Tried to kick off the setup from the units file explorer which ran a script for a couple minutes, but didnt install.

What am I doing wrong? How do I install add ons?

Why don't you open the shortcut and see where it's pointing to?

Completely forgot about that... That's what I get for going on the Anti-flash program... hahaha...
Now that you mention it, SPB Weather adds a Service.lnk into Startup that doesn't get removed even when SPB Weather is uninstalled. Who knows what other rubbish it leaves behind.
Using PocketWeather now... It's not as pretty or integrable as SPB Weather (since I'm using it w/ Mobile Shell) but gotta love its in-depth reports even though I rarely look at them... Most importantly though, it doesn't lag the start-up

hmm... 3.08 runs the wizard slow? Time for me to do some catching up... AFAIK, the IPL/SPL affects only the start-up time (of the first two splash screens, third one is controlled by the OS) and not the actual OS... From my previous experience vs 2.26, it decreased my boot time by ~5-10s.
I'll give 2.26 a try the next time I reflash... Spent all night with my current config and so far, it's running strong...
[When I think about it, I always changed the IPL/SPL shortly after flashing a new ROM so never tried 2.26 + new ROM... hmmm...]

Hey everyone,

I love this rom, my favorite hands down. I still have a few bugs thought that I think need to be worked out (unless someone knows how to fix it). First off, I have a Cingular 8125 G3 IPL 3.08 SPL 3.08 Radio UK 2.19.11 with Cingular fix. I installed the Touchflo version of the rom. The first bug I noticed is when I have the phone "off" (still on, just screen off), it will randomly turn back on without a phonecall of text message or anything. I was told this was due to activesync running in the "running programs," going to system>memory>running programs, but even after closing it, it still will do it. The other bug I found is the screen still doesn't adjust right in landscape mode. I try to click the X button, but it gives me the bubble telling me the cellphone service and strength. I've tried realligning the screen many times, but that doesn't work. Lastly, the little program to turn on the cube isn't in the rom (although that is probably my fault, if it has to be downloaded again or I just can't find it). Thanks everyone, if you know the solutions to these issues, I would love you. Also, mad props to you Its Right for this awesome rom. You rock!

Got the same problem here ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1587525&postcount=143) with SPB Programms, not with SPB Weather but with SPB Insight.

That was the reason I flashed another ROM because thereīs no fix for it and I canīt wait 3 Minutes and more for a working PDA after a reboot... :(

yeah, i have reflashed my phone many times, but i have also went back to the cingular OEM rom before flashing with this rom, but the problem still occured (it didn't with the OEM). also, i do turn off the phone manually myself when not in use, i don't let the phone reach the timeout of 30 seconds to turn off the screen. thanks for the suggestions though. any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I did exactly as you did but with success on my second tentative:p
As I remember, when I got into this issue, I uninstall the whole hypercore kitchen and started again. I also modified SYS folders to reflect my personal settings and added OEM packages.

I haven't had further problems since then. Running a fresh 1921 custom rom now. :)

Have a look on the LOG file and compare folders you are adding before you start flashing. I used to realize same subfolders in SYS or OEM that usually drop you off the way!

Hi its right,

As usual another great build :). Thanks. However, I noticed an annoying thing: the phone application doesn't support searching for contacts by typing the first letter of the first name then letters from the last name. This used to work with TNT5.0 (1620). I didn't try TNT.1437 as I moved directly from TNT5.0 to TNT.1921. Is there a setting to enable this feature or can you provide the phone app of TNT5.0 as a .cab?

Ahmed

Hi Its Right,

Is there any way to post the radio that you've developed? As much as I love flashing my Wizard ;) I would rather keep all my settings and not reflash. I've been having issues with missed voice mails mainly using 2.69. I just switched back to 2.19 to see if this helps. But if it is possible to post your new radio for Cingular that would be great. If not I guess I'll have to flash the new rom. Wouldn't be the first time! And won't be the last....

Thnx

Well in hopes this new RIL/GSM combination might work for the AT&T crowd, I tested and it fails unfortunatly, Phone does not wake up or take SMS while asleep. Sofar the only rom that does work properly is the 318 from Loon.

This is really dissapointing as I like the customizations done in the TNT series, folder placements, included programs, themes.

Great rom otherwise.

Installed TNT.1921_Wizard_Official and it's great!

Also installed Voice speed dial CVSD_for_WM6_v1.2_build_61226_1.cab, cant live with out it, running good.

BT and WIFI no problems.

Modified it to 12 MB PP with WST_v4.2.1, and WOW it's fast!, of course available space is less.

Loaded couple of programs I made and worked with out a hitch (vs2005 with .net 2.0 and SQLCE)

Nice and clean, as close to an official Rom that migth come originally loaded on a device.

Fantastic work it's rigth! you are making me a believer in 1921 again, been using 318 (theloon 7.1 trough 7.2)

Thanks!

So, how did you do this? I've tried two different CAB installs of two different voice dial programs and no joy. Well, not entirely true. It shows up in programs but hitting the button on the BT doesn't pull up the voice dialer window - I have to run it manually :(.

I'd sure like to know where that cab is and what you did!

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Au dioGateway]

It turns out reflashing the ROM and then loading the voicedial_TRI along with the registry changes did the trick. I think my multiple attempts to load different solutions caused some sort of conflict. In the end, I had to mae the change you referenced, along with another one pointing to SDDialer.exe.

For others that might stumble across this:

To install the voicedialer manually you can download (and execute on the WIzard) Voice_TRI from this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296337&highlight=voice_TRI.cab

Then you do the same with: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1176307&highlight=CVSD#post1176307

And voicedial comes up and runs :). The second link really just does the registry tweaking for you, but I tested it and it works and is faster than doing it manually.

bkeahl

Thanks it's right! This ROM looks great! I added Voicedialer, Battery Status, and ran the Cingular_Medianet settings (easier than doing it manually) as well as Adobe Reader and Transcriber.

I tried loading the vijay tools but they didn't run for some reason. Not that big a deal, and I may take the time to figure it out later.

I still have 23mb program memory left when I'm done! Everything I was looking for (other than Adobe and voicedial) was there - and then some. Now to see if it runs stable ... but looking good so far.

Overall, a great ROM package!

Yes, I did read the first few posts of this thread. However, this is like many other threads that have a lot of extra postings and if someone is really looking for the latest version, this is very time consuming. In fact, I did flash one of the ROMs listed.

I guess my point is not clear.
Why not have a Thread that is Author driven to list the latest versions and update notes/version history? This would help a lot of people using this forum and other forums. All other postings to that Author's ROM could be listed separatly.

'If you can wait a bit, a TNT.1933 should be coming out soon... Don't recall reading an ETA but its right's recent postings... sounds like it's just around the corner...

Yes, I did know that a new version was coming out soon. However, when people post that they flashed the new ROM, in this thread there are 5 different versions. Which one is that person talking about?

I hope this clears up my posting and suggestions. Thanks for your reply.

Well the base is the same for these different Roms you're talking about, so as advised, just read the first few posts for the differences as concerns what's included or not!

I have just tried it and it seems to work well, awesome work again, thanks ! :)

However I had problems (full screen activation with '*', moving bookmarks, ...) with the java virtual machine mentionned below when using latest opera mini 4 beta 3 (awesome application by the way, allows you to sync your bookmarks with desktop opera, etc ...)

The old Add Ons Compatible with this release (install to the main memory) :
- TNT JBED 24052007.cab (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=52177&d=1190839967) (will install on the Storage Card, "J" folder contains it DON'T delete it, so always keep SD installed to work)

I just installed the August Cloudyfa Jbed JVM from here :
http://www.winmobiletech.com/092007MidletBible/CompatibilityAndMain.html

And my opera mini 4 beta 3 worked fine again :)

1) I have a POP and IMAP email account setup under two different accounts and cannot connect. It connected the first time and downloaded email, but now when I send/receive, I get the balloon "cannot connect with curent connections settings..." My data connection works fine with my Outlook account (to my corporate Exchange server) and I am able to browse. I am on the Cingular/AT&T network and I used the "Network Wizard" to create the data connection.

2) The bluetooth turns off after a soft reset. Is there a way to keep this on?

the new radio driver gave me less battery life than the old one with TNT.1921

I tried SPB Weather and found that it is not very accurate. Try Marsware WeatherPanel and I think you would find it much better.

the default weather source in SPB in pretty inacurate; use the attached file and paste it into the templates folder in your spb weather folder (unzip first), and it will get the weather from weather.com instead of the default.

Thanks for the information. I did try that and I still like my weather application better due to the display and other options. Now all we need is a way to get our weather to default instead of the original default.

When soft resetting / restarting my device, it never gets beyond the Windows Mobile 6 screen. It just hangs.
I have waited for half an hour, but still nothing.
Also, at that time, it does not charge.

Is there anything I can do to bring my phone back to live, without a hard reset?

I have a G3 Wizard. So far, no issues, while having tried several roms.

I saw one post about the touch tones not working. Does anyone have a fix for this? It looks like it isn't sending the tones because no voicemail system responds (cell phone, home, or office).

Other than that I love this ROM but the touch tone problem is a BIG issue as I'm a consultant and road warrior - requiring I be able to get messages.

Found a fix If DTMF Problem:
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL\EnableDTMFSupport
or
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL\EnableDTMFS upport

set to 1 or 0 (try both). I toggled mine to 0 and it did the trick.

How do I get it to install as a CAB file?

Apparently Opera Desktop caused this problem. I used IE and downloaded the CAB file correctly. So, this is resolved.

1. Is is possible to change the Weather Application on HTC Home from what is installed to my own choice? I use Marsware WeatherPanel. Thank you
2. Where are the links to Launcher and Favorite People found? I want to add those to a Menu or add the link for Favorite People to Launcher. I really don't need Home with the 2 Icons of Launcher and Favorite People and a Clock.
Maybe I really don't need the Cube Icons.
Thank you in advance.

I would love to see a solution for this. I use SPB Weather and it would be nice to be able to use the HTC Home software, but I've steered clear of it simply because none of the cities I would like weather for are in there.

Thanx.

I am a newbe and don't pretend to be a programmer but thanks to all the tutorials and information I have unlocked my phone and have tried a number of different and excellent roms. I currently am using 1930 and find it excellent but I cannot find one item I need to correct. When I choose a person for the HTC favorites it defaults to a number I do not want. Can anyone direct me to how to take care of this? Thank you all for your wonderful forum.:)

Hey everyone,

I still have a bug that I think need to be worked out (unless someone knows how to fix it, but it seems to only be my phone). I've posted this before, but nobody had a solution.

First off, I have a Cingular 8125 G3 IPL 3.08 SPL 3.08 Radio UK 2.19.11 with Cingular fix. I installed the Touchflo version before, but know I have the professional + HTC Home version of the rom.

The bug I noticed is when I have the phone "off" (still on, just screen off), it will randomly turn back on without a phonecall of text message or anything. I was told this was due to activesync running in the "running programs," going to system>memory>running programs, but even after closing it, it still will do it. The other bug I found is the screen still doesn't adjust right in landscape mode. Thanks everyone, if you know the solutions to these issues, I would love you. Also, mad props to you Its Right for this awesome rom.

I have downloaded the ROM it is excellent, however I am not sure I have the latest.

And the numbering system is confusing me. Some are numbered 1933, while others are V5.0

Can you tell me what is the latest version so I can do this.

I have downloaded TNT1933. But if I loof at my phone it says Protocol version 4.1.13.9

Thanks
