help can't upgrade, have followed the steps

16. Watch the rebooting of your PDA, if BOTH IPL and SPL are 1.xx then great. Quite probably your IPL will be 1.xx and your SPL will be 2.xx. Rerun the button 1.05 ROM downgrade a second time and it will become 1.x on both IPL and SPL. You don't need to redo the unlocking.

when i try this I can't get the SPL to go back, IPL is fine, but i've tried 4 sucessive times, no chance..

I then tried this :-
Step 17 - Download and install the 3.08 IPL/SPL rather than the 2.26, your choice! (I suggest doing the T-Mobile 2.26 first but that's me )

that went ok, and then I tried flashing roms, but the only one I can get to work is the Wizzard Love ROM.


I'd love to run WM6 but i can't, if i try the other ROMS they flash ok, but I just go back to the Wizzard ROM when it reloads


any ideas ?

Well,
You missed the all important step 17,flashing the T-mobile 2.26,this cud have given you solid IPL/SPL 2.26 to work on,Instead opted for Edit to step 17,flashing 3.08.

Your device is not CID unlocked,download WST tool and check the status of your phone,
secondly you shudn't have upgraded your ipl/spl to 3.08,till you were sure your phone is cid unlock and both the ipl/spl are the same.
anyway download the wst tool to check your phone's status and post the report here,

i tried another rom and am stuck in the bootloader...

i have 3.08 for IPL and SPL

I think the WST will not work from the bootloader (and i can't find it to download)


any further sugestions ?

In this particular situation no rom will flash,the only option is to get the IPL/SPL back to 1.xx,only than you can unlock.
If you are in boot loader,try to flash buttons 1.05 again,if worked,ok. otherwise download the latest official rom from the carriers site and flash,it will work and bring back your phone in working status.then flash button's 1.05 to unlock with lokiwiz02b.
Are you having any sdcard in your phone,remove it,it'll help,sometimes sdcard freezes the boot loader,by removing it,boot loader mode is released,good luck
