Bloated AT&T build runs horrible on Kaiser

Is there a way to remove the bloat ware and demos from the AT&T branded phone without hacking the ROM and cooking my own.

I heard if you initially boot the phone or hard reset, when it starts to customize, right before it does, reset and you will have the HTC default build (in other words, the installer will not try again to customize the phone), go to windows DIR and select the CABS you want! I bet this works for others as well.

Is this true? If so can i get more direction on how it works?

1)it is true
2)there are no further directions...except that the customization apps are usually storen in the extended rom and not /windows

Check the kaiser thread..you can cook yr own ROM secondly there is no extended ROM in Kaiser
