No major bugs found! Without HTC HOME Plugin 26 mb free after SR. With Home plugin, around 24 mb free.

Only GPS Camera isnt working yet 4 me! GPS isnt activated. Also on HTC Home Tab, i cannot add the contacts tab (with pictures of your contacts). It simply wont load (while its checked).

"Favoriete personen" tab is a strange one:confused: . Sometimes it works and sometimes it wont. I'm on it and will release a patch or a full rom.

GPS camera: I just tryed it one time and it didnt work. When I set the storage to internal storage I get an error about init. of GPS module and when I set it to microsd I don't get any error and gps foto is setted.

I do not seem to get my rom cooked with your nice work.
I definitly want to, but i also get the error 270.

Dit is prima en uitstekend Rom Update.Ben iedereen erg dankbaar die dit allemaal heeft geregeld.Wat ik nooit meer zal doen is een toestel halen bij T-mobile , omdat zijn nooit update's maken en ook zo arrogant zijn om msn eruit te halen.Mijn vraag is of er reeds bekend is wanneer de nieuwere versie van Touch flo versie 2 al bekend is.

I don't know when the update comes out (i hope soon NikMel :)), but i am using the rom almost a week now, just when St. Nik (Sinterklaas) released it on saturday.

The ROM is fast and stable, and the TF and scrolling functions work very well. With no programs installed yet, you get 25-26 MB free program and storage is about 50 MB! Now, with a fully loaded device all stays stable but free memory after reset is now 21-22 MB (2 extra programs start i installed myself, aebuttons and a wifimanager).

Like all WM6 ROMS ive tried the memory flows back slowly during the day about 4-5 mb and then holds, so with no or little programs used, i have 17 mb free (all programs closed).

The only real flaws ive found was the by NikMel's mentioned favorite persons tab on the htc home screen and the not working gpsphoto option which does work on other WM6Roms ive tried. Personally i like the current phone screen?

So in conclusion, the 1st Release is already pretty stable, but when 1.1 comes out i will probably use it immediately!

I tried using USPL on my standard HTC WM6 ROM. But I got an error message when the programming of the ROM started. I am using Windows Vista. I could not find a solution in the manual of USPL.
Does anybody know if I need a different USPL for windows Vista then mentioned in one of the links in this topic?

You are asking if the telephone profile tab in the new HTC Home Plugin can be edited/configured. I don't think so, because i did not found this option on the English roms too.

But I would like to trade the 3rd butto too for flightmode or something. Now i have to choose another way (so not really a issue, just stupid it isnt possible i guess).

When I flash my P3300 with this rom and I want for ever what reason to go back to the original Dutch rom, do I have to use USPL again or can you always flash an original rom whitout USPL?

Im new to this buth i have one little quastion. Can i install the Englisch version 4.0 of Touchflo and than just install this Dutch version when the new release come out ? Or must you always flash back a original rom before flashing a custom rom ? Thnx in advance

To the last 2 post"s:

Better safe then sorry, so always use USPL if you are not sure (will cost only 5 minutes extra and is a real life saver for your ppc). But I remember that the spl wont change after flashing a xda-rom (check it to be sure 1, spl should be 1.11.0000, you see it on a soft reset on the 1st bootscreen).

Whne u got an official rom flashed, spl is changed so you always need tot do uspl 1st.

If u update to another language, you sill will be able to update is to another official or unofficial rom (always use USPL to be sure!).

If you do this, chances of bricking your device are minimal (0%). With no USPL 1st you take a risk. A real bricked device cant be fixed by your self easy, you need to send it to HTC i guess.

I just try to install uspl buth there whas a problem. Soon as the screen becomes white my usb connection get lost and so there is no activesync connection anymore. This way the window for install uspl give me a update error because no device whas found. Im running Vista Ultimate 32bits so maybe this is the problem ? Any help is welcome because now i realy whant to update my htc. Thnx

I was afraid of that response, i really tried this, sorry..
the fact is, in mails inbox, i can scroll the screen, and hear the ticker go..
the screen is more sensitive when the touchflo is turned on, but i cant get the cube from the down part of the screen on to the screen :confused: (weird explanation..)

I did a new clean install of the rom, didnt work
unticked the tf/cube, soft reset' and no go either..
i saw in many movies how to get it to work, but should i just try an other rom then?

After you installed it/flashed it, there are 3 possibilities for the cube to be activated.

press with stick to
1. only bottom center todayscreen
2. center todayscreen to bottom
3. from the top to the bottom on the todayscreen

Probably the 3rd works. Afterwards with TF setting you can change it to your like.

If this wont work, youre not trying enough or should try another rom.

Dude relax, there is no problem using Vista. It's only a little bith complicated because you have to change the usb driver to a xp one. Because Vista used the drivers from wmdc and not from activesync. So the standard RUU programs can not handle the updater then. I have done it yesterday after allot of search work, buth once you have found the solution it's pritty easy. For anyone that have same problems with vista, read the link below ;) .

Tomtom werkt perfect hier, je moet wel na installatie van deze rom even tomtom weer handmatig installeren. Dit vanwege licenties & copyrightes.

Exactly, my Artemis is quite new, i just received it 2 weeks ago, might it be something with the screen/hardware which is not working with this version / driver of Touchflo?
I really would like it to work, i am running the "Artemis Touch 2.1 WM6 WWE rom (english) to try if the touchflo works on other roms..
Unfortunately word prediction with mailing etc isnt in dutch, so i will await the NikMel's RC2 :)

By the way, i had my screen protection sticker mounted on the screen, and took it off because it might had some influence on the screen, but it wasnt any helpful to remove though..:(

i reinstalled the whole rom, and then i just tried and tried, and without any clear reason, it suddenly started to work! like i said in my previous post, it does take a lot of pressure (actual pressing on the screen) for the pda to recognize the imput to open the cube.

The speed can be faster to max 115200 and it works fine with this rom
if you see the little wheel turn in the corner with a time then you have to wait longer.

If the wheel turns, and the light of the gps starts flashing, there is a connection and you simply have to wait. Dit you already use QuickGPS?

HTC Home tab of Today do that too. It just loads the seconde time you start it (first tiem you don't have any options the seconde time you can select the tabs in/for homeplug).

Tried this rom now for 2 days and I must say :D verry nice. Touchflo and bioscroll works fine.
I :eek: yesterday when I was trying to update the wheaterforcast. It activated GPRS. Thought I had wifi activated. After I deleted the GPRS settings in connections I thought OK, but when opening IE, again GPRS was connecting.
Whit WM 5 I had no GPRS trying to connect and I don't want GPRS to connect in WM 6, so I changed that in the registry and now I am :) .

Look for nodata by modaco. Its allows you to switch off the GPRS option, so only Wifi will work.

Take the following steps:

Go to the following registerkey:
HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\{7C4B7A38-5FF7-4bc1-80F6-5DA7870BB1AA}\Connections

You will find there the folders GPRS MMS and GPRS WAP. Go into each of those folders and open "Enabled". Change DWORD data in 0 and your done.

No more GPRS. :cool:

The only fault is the keyboard that displays the transscriber when on the keyboard, you have to select keyboard again twice,I had to install an extra keyboard

- Slide2unlock
- PocketCM Contacts (would be nice if you get this by clicking contacts right below on the today screen).

For the rest very complete rom.

Yes, try using the search option, this question has been answered. I thought it had something 2 do with the vista drivers and that you had to add the XP drivers or something. But better look for it and don't hijack this thread.

I did put dutch rom version rc2 on my Artemis.
When i update the weather linked by my usb connection to my pc.
The following happens after finnishing the update weather,suddenly my music ringtone starts to play till the music finnish.

How cani solve this probleem..?

send or receive any e-mails anymore.
Before i could send or receive e-mails by gprs or network (w-lan) or through
the old fashion dialing to the providerserver.
Now i get the screen from the username and password over and over again.
Meaning when i get this screen i filled it in(again) en give the ok button.
After logging on i get the same screen again with checked username and password.
The username and password and the settings from my mail account is okay because i have this on my other device dopod838 WM5 and this is working good with e-mails.
Could you help me with this.

Did you setup the GPRS connection already, I mean the screen for login and password isn't that the one for GPRS instead of the one for you're email account? Check it by making a GPRS connection first, to be sure that the connection is working.

I guess you are right about new build versions, i am a noob when it comes to that. Good to see you still work on the GPS Photo issue. I was very pleased when i saw Meschle with a newer build with working gpsphoto! So i guess its probably still possible to use the GPSPhoto on the newer builds!

Its sad that if you have a MUI version like dutch, the amount of RAM which is used by the system is BIGGER than when you have a WWE version. Lots of dll's also boot up a mui.dll (watching the processes via SKtools, i see extra 0419?.dll's) when you have a MUI Rom like yours. This means that if you use a ROM in another language then English, you will have to accept that you will have less RAM memory available.

Am I right on this one? Is there a workaround or do i have to live with it?

I think there is a bug in the Alarm, when a alarm goes off i can normaly choos the snooz it, 5 min , 10 , 30 min (someting like that).

But this morning when i was snoozing the alarm I saw that the 15 min snooz appears twice in the snooz menu


I think that the translation between dutch and english went wrong.

Can some verify this problem?

sorry, i do not remember the exact name, but it is like you said, for some files (in RAM) there is a extra languague file, so it uses a bit more ram (approx. 1-2 mb). This makes 23-25 mb free on a clean install on a 'clean' MUI rom and 25-27 mb on a WWE rom.

I can live with it, but i wish the RAM would be a littlebit bigger in the Artemis, because when i install all my important stuff for the todayscreen (AEButton, Pocketplus, SPB Mobile Shell, SPB Weather, Todayagenda), and install some extra software (like TT6, resco, etc) i have only 20 MB free on a WWE Rom and 17-18 on the MUI one. Because of the memorydrain this goes back 2-3 mb too so I sometimes get a memory exception error.

I hope you will succeed in solving the GPS Photo option (and maybe add the SHDC solution for >2 GB MicroSD's as well!).

Having the same trouble here. Tried selecting "Letter Recognizer", and "OK", then directly back into "Invoer", but it had already selected "Toetsenbord" again :mad:

Also tried selecting "Letter Recognizer" and then "Opties", but I get an error stating "De geselecteerde invoermethode kan niet worden geladen".

Also tried installing PocketCM keyboard 0.11 and TouchPalSIP, but after installing, both inhibit the same problem: can be selected, but this change isn't effectuated, even if I reset the PDA directly after selecting the alternate keyboard.

This is getting frustrating, can't do anything except using phone now...

(Also tried changing regional settings to US-English and rebooting, but same problem)

Any other suggestions on how to fix this?

Installed Resco's Pro Keyboard, that seems to override thing. Still, can't select default keyboard or other than Resco now, when going back into "Invoer", previous selection is always shown and never effectuated.

About the Cube, i found a really fast cube config online via Youtube..
It uses Adobe flash lite , combined with touchflo 1.4..
As you didnt bring out the final rc Is it an idea to use this version?
The cube comes from left to right, vice versa, up to down and the other way around.

Have some hardware problem with my Compact III. It freezes quite a lot. Did some searching and it looks like a hardware (mainboard) problem. My Compact III still have warranty, so I want to send it back for repair. But the problem/challenge is to downgrade back to the WM5 T-Mobile MDA Compact III NL Rom. I can't find the rom!! Can someone make/provide/submit a SD upgrade image of the T-Mobile WM5 NL rom.

If someone have other ideas of solutions please suggest?!

It seems rather impossible to me, to upgrade the p3300 from a wm6 to a wm5.... Besides that, T-Mobile NL never really made a problem of it when your mobile was flashed to a mw6....

Change the view mode in the TFsetting to 'Top to bottom' then soft-reset your device. After restart of your device move your thumb fast from the top of the screen to the bottom of the screen. Thanx for your new rom but i still get an error when i try to install.
So first i ran uspl, when i dit that everything was ok, it counted till 100, then
the screen on the phone turned black, so my phone wast connnected anymore with activesync. So i couldnt install the rom when it asked for it.
I am running windows vista 32 bit.
I have searched for a solution but didnt find one.
Please help me!

Change the view mode in the TFsetting to 'Top to bottom' then soft-reset your device. After restart of your device move your thumb fast from the top of the screen to the bottom of the screen. To show another site of the cube move your thumb from left to right or from right to left. Press the OK button to go back.

After I installed MSN, Saw no icon od MSN in Programs, And nothing on Today screen. Tried again, and again, and then only a icon on the Today screen. Used it a few times, and then it would not sync anymore, rebooted the pda and it was gone.

p.s. When I reflashed it, and tried again to install, the same text notice appeard that this program would not run probably because this program was for an older version of WM.

I think that when there is a working application then you don't need other one like Pocketcm (space killer)

Batterystatus = space and battery killer

SDHC = included in final ROM

HTC Camera album = space killer

This rom is for users who need more space for some other applications.:)

1) When I start IE then WM6 display a window with the text:
'iexplore' is geen geldige Pocket PC-toepassing:(
When I close this window (alert-screen) and I start IE again, IE works.:)

2) Somtimes after pressing the stand-by button, the PDA restart without asking my pin code :(

Are there more people with the same problems?

This happends sometimes when I push the power button twice by mistake (a little impatience). I still use WM5. I don't think its typical for the WM6 ROM.

I want to upgrade but there is one thing I'm a little affraid of. I'am using the "rungps" software a lot and in the forum there is mentioned that de Artemis with a WM6 (I gues a German version)? won't work with this software. Does anyone know ? or maybe someone with the Dutch Rom can try and download the trial version.

I think this happened after the error message of starting IE. So, when I've got the error message of IE and press the cross-mark to close the alert-screen. Then I press the stand-by button of the PDA and the device will restart.
I think when you solve the problem of IE, restarting wil be solved to.

For the rest is the ROM very good :) So keep continue

When i try to install my voicemail on button one, i can give in the number.
I push ok, then when i hold button 1 for dailing my voicemail again i have to install the number. So it doesn't store it as fast dailing. Please help.

I also suffer from restarts. maybe it has something todo with IE, but I am not sure. IE behaves strange that is a sure thing.

When I start IE the first time after the artimis came out of sleepmode, then I have to start it twice. The first time a short flikker of the screen, and nothing happens. The second time I press the IE button, then it starts. This is always when the device comes out of sleepmode. A bug?

And I get the resets sometimes, but not always after using IE. And VERY strange, after such a reset, I only have to put in the pin of the device, and there is no question about the phones pincode. So maybe it is not a complete restart, because when I do the restart manually, then there is always the question for the 2 pincodes. The first for the device, and the second for the phones simcard.

But nevertheless, I am very happy with this beautifull looking rom. I overclocked it with batterystatus. You sai that it is a battery and spacekiller.... Is there an other better way of overclocking?

Well here is my test about the restarts and Internet explorer.
I do not get the error message. But I always have to start IE twice before it starts running.
And after I am done, and put the device away it will automatically go to sleepmode after some time. This is normal, but now after some time the device spontanously restarts. I see the bootscreen, and it reboots. It asks only for my normal pincode, and not for the simcard pin.
And if I press the power button after I used IE, the device is going to sleep mode like normal. But when I want to wake the device by pressing it again, then I get the restart like described above.

Is this behaviour only happening to me? Or can anybody confirm?

I think it restarts when i let my I.E. on and set it on Standby,...or leave my I.E. on without using.... ( it also restarts without asking Pin)...(by the way even without installing Extra AppZ.)..

yes there is something wrong with the internet explorer in this rom.
I always have to start IE twice before the program omes up.
And after I am finished, you will get the restart, without asking for the SIM-pincode. The restart always occurs when the device is going to sleepmode, or when I press the standby button.

Anyway, I installed Picselbrowser. Not legal, but it is a wonderfull browser. The only thing is that it does not support java.

mostly after using explorer ore a poker game.
The same on the HTC from my friend.
The compact III is overcloked 201 --> 247
The HTC not overcloked.

I also have troubles with my MMS. When I put in the T-Mobile settings it works fine in the beginning, but a couple days later it fails.

Then I choose my name, another screen is openend and then I can choose between home or mobile number.

Also a difference was that with the RC1 I saw the last chosen phonenumbers in what's now the blue field.

No, there is no TOMTOM application installed in this ROM. If TOMTOM was original installed on your HTC you can create an account at TOMTOM to download it.

It is not the wifi. It is when you start Internet Explorer with this rom. After using IE your device will restart. Try it with another browser, and your problems will be over.

I have the Picsel Browser. It's original made for Samsung phones. It is copyrighted. But If you google around you should find an installation file. At least I did.... It is a very very very nice browser. It has no java support. But for ordinary browsing it is by far the best browser you can find. If you can find it.

There is minimo from firefox. It is free. I personally did not like this one.

There is Opera. I thought there is a free version of that one. And there is a paid version. I downloaded it some time ago via usenet. It is also a pretty nice browser. It is worth the money. And opera has java support and the latest flash version is supported.

De synchroniseer problemen zijn opeens verdwenen! Ook de afspraken worden nu gesynchroniseerd. Omdat ik Opera een betere browser vind dan Explorer zijn de problemen voor mij nu verdwenen en geniet ik nu van deze prachtige Nederlanstalige ROM. Bedankt

The synchronise problems are gone! Even the appointments are synchronized now. Because I like the Opera browser more then Explorer the problems are all gone for me and I enjoy this beautiful Dutch ROM. Thanks :)

Als eerste mijn dank aan deze geweldige rom. Alleen heb ik het hetzelfde probleem wat meerdere mensen hebben. Namelijk een automatische reboot na het sluiten van IE. Tevens moet ik IE tweemaal selecteren om het op te starten. Verder een fantastiche rom.

indeed, a superb Rom, I dare say, even better than Meschles 4.02. It is faster, all programs open faster, no hangups.
Internet explorer: needs to be started twice, after the first activation, nothing happens.
I have installed it with all the separate programs Meschle has built-in in his rom. And yet, it is stable and fast.
I hope NikMel will continue developing; WM 6.1?

Prima rom, sneller en stabieler dan Meschles 4.02 een nog Nederlands ook! En niet zo afgeladen vol met programma's.
Ik heb het idee dat deze rom daarom echt merkbaar sneller is en bovendien, als er meer programma's open staan, geen merkbaar langzamere programma's.
Ga door zo, Nikmel! Nog tijd voor Windows Mobile 6.1?

Inderdaad, wacht met smart op 6.1 Denk dat dan de rebootproblemen na IE verdwenen zullen zijn. Hoop dat NikMel nog tijd heeft...

ik kan de rom niet installeren. Heb momenteel een HTC met een orginele ROm van HTC..krijg bij de 3% dat de rom corrupt is. Verder is het toestel simlock vrij (orgineel)

Dan moet je eerst USPL draaien waarschijnlijk. Zie hier (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=311403).

Als dat gedaan is maar niet helpt, probeer dan de rom opnieuw te downloaden en die te flashen.
