Here is two sounds you can use them for keyboard in keyboard out, I think you guys will find it very cool when you open the keyboard you load the gun when you close you fire, in order to do that
-Move this 2 files to windows folder
-Go to the registry Editor and open
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\slidingSound, Mine had only 0,1,2 keys
-Make new key and name it "3" without any quotation marks then change the default string to ShotFire or GunFire.
-Make new string value and name it "in" without quotation marks and string Winfire.wav
-Make another string value and name it "out" without quotation marks and string Gundload.wav

Edit: works only in wm6 devices with sliding keyboard, you should have slidingsounds under settings\personal tab.

it should look like this

You have to have a device that supports sliding sounds with the app installed, ie. the Herald and Kaiser (natively).

Nope. Unless you have it installed or installed a cooked ROM with the sliding keyboard sounds app included, you won't have it. Check your settings menu. Do you have a shortcut for "Keyboard Sliding Sound"?

I second that notion!

I'm putting together a .cab for these "SKS" (sliding keyboard sounds). So far I have included the shotgun, lightsaber, and creeking door. Post more and I'll add them in the .cab. :)

if you dont have this application in the image below you wont be able to see it in the registry either, I have HTC Mogul and it came with it, maybe someone can extract it from the rom and you guys can install it.

GREAT!!! Thanks for the link.

@Taurus et Poorlyduck... Guys I think you should update the first post to reflect the app @ PPCGeeks that was linked here by ljinsane (Post #18)
Might I also suggest changing the title of this thread to Keyboard Sliding Sounds. Would be a lot more descriptive.

This app by 'tiermann' makes it much easier than the method you've all been having to use.

If anyone wants installable slidingsound sound sets, check out my site in my sig. I have made a few sets and they install and un-install accordingly.

I opened the reg editor, followed the path you described, but no slidingsound.
I have an 8525 with vp3G's WM6 v3.62 & radio 1.54.07

I was able to create a slidingsound key but thats all I know how to do at this point. Going to research reg editing now.

p.s. Any direction as to where to find good reg editing instructions etc. would be appreciated. Searching the forum is painstaking at best.

I made a Transformers themed slider sound. This is a cool thread. Does anyone know if you could run the sounds from the memory card? Maybe a reg edit fix? Thanks.

Hey I just found another thread that deals with this topic with different sounds. I guess im not the only one that likes transfomers, huh who woulda thunk. You can find it @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=315333

I've tried this app but now when i slide in and out i get the original sound followed by the lighsabre.

It also cannot disable the sound.

I'm using duttythroys beta3 on kaiser.

Anything glaringly obvious i may have missed?

i have 2 bov sounds but they dont sound that good on the mogul speaker and i dont have any sounds of just an engine revving. however, i was able to extract some sounds from the first fast and the furious. it's the scene where paul is testing out the eclipse. the sounds arnt formatted for slide use but for ringtone use. i guess if i worked at it i could make something outta those sounds. i just cant get rid of the background music... still sounds nice tho.

OK total noob here. I downloaded Total Commander to edit my registry. But when I pull up my mobile device on it, there is nothing there at all. Does anyone have any idea what I need to do here? Thanks a bunch.

I accidentally deleted the "piano" sliding sound from the reg when I was trying to add a 5th sound. Now all I have available is the "wind chime", but the saber and transformers ones I added are still in the registry. How do I get the others back? I still had sliders 0,2,3,4 but deleted 1. Any help would be appreciated.

to install sliding sounds-

ive come across some cabs out there, just run them and some default sound gets added as the open and close sounds...i wasnt a fan.

registry editors are okay, but alot of work. ive come across something alot better.

download it on your computer, unzip it, i email the cab to myself, you cant run it from the email you have to save it to the device and then open it from the device...once it runs, its a program. in the settings, go into sliding sounds and turn off the sound. then, run the sliding sound program, and it allows you to place any .wav sound as an open slide sound, and any .wav sound as a close slide sound. very cool, very easy.

i have an att tilt windows mobile v6..not sure if thatll make a difference. try it out though.

Ok I need help. I have changed the slide sound values with PHM regedit but all I get is a ding when I slide the keyboard. I put the .wav files in the windows file and have linked everything right but I lost. Anythoughts? Does the wav file need to be of a certian size?

Okey nvm I just mislabeled the wav file. haha

But I do have a question. Is it possible to raise the volume of the sound effects?

I was able to add the sounds to my Touch Pro (Raphael)...

All it had was the SlideSound registry key...

But there's no control panel option for it...

Can those of you who have the control panel option for it, find the registry entries so I can add it to my control panel as well? :)

Thanks!

One of the first things that I learned to on my titan was turn off the sliding sound. These are very cool, and I am going to have to add them. Like the custom sounds program. It would be cool if this could be changed automatically to the appropriate sound for a given theme.

I followed your instructions (using the ST Turbolift door sound), set it up via RegEdit as per your instructions, then soft-restarted. The choice does not show up on the Sliding Keyboard Sound page.

What up?

I'm using Phoenix 3.1 (cooked 6.5 ROM) on my Tilt (and LOVE IT!)

Thanks.
