Is there a software where we can see backup battery status?
In wm6 only the the battery meter is shown... in wm2003 there were 2 meters....

Why would you need that? As long as the main battery is above 1%, the backup battery is at 100%. The backup battery is meant to keep from losing settings and for quick startup when you remove the main battery and thats all.

WM5/6 and WM2003 work differently. WM5/6 do not need a backup battery except for the clock. So, you dont need to worry about the 'backup' battery as the most you'll lost is just the clock. Unlike WM2003 phones where once your backup battery is gone, you loose everything (i.e. the device memory/storgae).

Once i had a dead backup battery on a asus PDA, and was really a big trouble, lose all data when i changed battery.
I didn't know that wm5/6 work differently with pim data... and because wizard is my first phone / pda with wm5 or wm6 i was just curious about why they did not put the backup battery meter....
thanks for the explanation ;)

Anyway, when main baatery removed in two minutes, the clock is gone.
you have re-setup clock, or with GSM time synchronization enabled phone to get correct time!

Good question, I had to pull my battery for a few seconds to check the color of my AT&T sim (blue or orange) and lost everything on my device, contacts, calendar, themes, skins, everything. It was like I had hard-reset it or something which sucked majorly. Someone had told me long ago when I first got it that it was one of the few models that HTC made lacking a working backup battery.... Didn't sound right to me then but after I found out the hard way it did suck quite heavily.

See the following post for my comments regarding replacing the backup battery in the Wizard. I had same loss of time when removing main battery. I replaced 2 batteries now, one on a G3 Wizard, and second on a G4 Wizard. Clock problem was/is fixed on both.
