Hi people... WM6.0 is bugging me - every time I send/receive it deletes all of my old mail... Is there any way to turn this off?

Thanks in advance!

I have the same issue with GMAIL, but could not find a setting on the device to stop the inbox deletes. Also, the gmail pop3 settings online are not that clear on what to do?

I have the same problem, and the only way I found to keep my important mail, is by moving them to the spam folder...

If you configure the settings for the mail account to download "All messages" then they won't get deleted unless you delete them manually (in which case they'll disappear next time you send/receive). Just make sure you've only got what you need in your server Inbox....or you've got an unlimited data plan :) as it may take a while to download them all!!

By default, new mail accounts are setup to download "messages from the last three days" IIRC, which is why messages older than that will disappear from the phone's Inbox on a send/receive.

HTH,

Mark.

gmail has a problem that it deletes any read mail. Kinda sucks, but it happens

In the Gmail options (not on your phone, but on the webpage) you can set it to retain a copy of the mail after POP retrieval.

It's not a GMail problem, this happens with all my POP3 accounts. My retrieval settings are already on All Mail - any more bright ideas?
