WM5Torage doesn't work because the executable got corrupted when Gullum created the shiny shortcut images...

Normaly i use allways this app for fexplorer extention, like this i have lots more options on fexplorer like send shortcut to programs, see extentions and more.

But the only thing I did before, was to take out the Battery without shutting the device down.

I'm not sure if there is a way to turn it off... I'll see what I can find, but it may take a while.

Gullum, I have found a slight problem: If I change what is launched by the Cube launcher face in Touch Settings, it requires a soft reset but after that, it resets its self to the default setting. I have found a way around this: changing the Reg file directly, but I prefer the graphical frontend...

I downloaded the ROM from that exact site.
I flashed the ROM straight from Fantastic 4. I've must missed something :(
I don't think i'm at the bootloader mode (there are no 3 colour screen). I'm at the very first screen after I reset the device.
I'll take your advice and flashed the first step.

Have you checked your SIM cards contacts? Did you hard reset after flashing? Do you have a PIN that you haven't entered? Try the ROM with a different SIM card if you have one lying around...

how to go to bootloader Hold the Camera button, and insert the stylus into the larger of two holes on the edge of the SPV with the power connector.

Also *** Bug *** when performing a soft reset all sms's are lost. - back to beta 2 for me :-(
I could not believe how good it worked on Beta 2 however sadly it is now a problem again. I am searching for the software that allows you to change the stroke method that was included on beta 2.

Hello. This rom is the best by far because of the speed and goodies gullum cooked for us.
Since the beta 2 I have a problem with the new predictive input though.It doesn't seem to store the new words i type .I have checked/unchecked all the options from the xT9Settings but no chance. The old one stored all the new words so it made much easier the typing in my native language. So i have a few questions:
How to disable the new predictive imput and enable the old one?And if this is not possible what are the new files of the dictionary ,and how to overwrite them?
And, is this default in htc nike?

Also Active Sync.
Problems i had with the network wizard.
Before (Beta 1) all settings after using were okay.
This time i must manual set the network for gprs.
Also the WLan made problems at first.
After a while of trying some settings now both connects.
It´s a very fast rom.

An user told me, that the cube has a grey application manager...sorry, i forgot, to put the files inside.

how can I change XT9 to german? I downloaded your zip und copied the pngs to /windows. When I change language to german keyboad i still get qwery not qwertz. And when I activate the keypad (12) - the keyboard (qwerty) pops up.

I always use PDAVIETtemp as step 1 if that's what you mean but you can use Fantastic b4 step 1

activesync with bt still doesnt work. :( there is no activesync option but just the serial port after connecting through bt.

it used to work flawlessly with touch vii.

But please note that:

No problem with ANY other ringtone format: .wav and .mp3 play pretty fine.
MIDI files are played properly with Media Player as common tunes. The problem occurs only if they are used as ringtones.

Hi there, thanks for these great cooked roms. I appreciate all the work you're putting into this.
I have an O2 XDA Neo and I think there may be a bug with Peek Pocket on Beta 3. When I switch on the Wi-Fi and launch Peek Pocket everything works as expected but once I close Peek Pocket and try to launch it again (or any other app) my pocket pc hangs, the animated wait icon appears and doesn't go away. Has anyone else experienced this?

Just found that midi files don't play as a ring tone for me at all...
Well, SOME midi file don't play as a ringtone for me either, some other just sound terribly.
But I've found what's wrong and fixed it: it seems midi ringtones were assigned 2 players and the second one it's probably causing this issue.

So just delete the following registry key:

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\midifile\Shellex\EventSoundHandl ers\{FB6D5104-86AC-4f81-8382-237125FF82CE}]
"Default"="RingTone-Plugin Player EX2"

Midi ringtones now play perfectly as usual.

If you leave them for about 10 seconds, they get stored properly rather than being stored in a temp folder. Or just closing the app should save them properly. Basically, don't soft reset straight after getting a text :P

i copied the pngs to the windows folder and changed the touch keyboard to the german layout. my prophet freezes when im trying to add a new word via xt9.

this is caused by a stupid mistake I removed the options from the customizer :( no it any changes are made to the enable fields it will set the cube to midel bottom bar :(

Great rom as always. Touch IX beta 3 seems to be fast and stable. However, I can't access the phone functions. Everytime I click on the phone in the settings menu i get " The phone is not ready. Wait 15 seconds and try again." I have been getting this message for the last 2 hours.

There was no errors reported when I flashed the phone. Is thera fix for this?

i would have to recheck but my overnight drop is from 92% to 84% which is about 8% and which was not so much in IX beta1 (this reading is with startup folder empty and device being softreset to be kept overnight,backlight setting 1min with brightness at one level above zero and battery powerOFF setting at 2min)

Yes I too have seen this behaviour.
Previously, entering text into the contact area would predict from my contacts list. Now i have to either select "Check Names" or "Send" to invoke the contact picker.

I get this... On beta 2. I think it's caused by the xT9 setup. You can always tap 'add recipient' but it is a bit slower :S

To make it open the account picker, it's Options->Check the box that says 'Display account picker'.

EDIT: Just realised that is set as default... Have you tried adding an account/setting up Outlook? It seemed to work for me...

Well, I encountered the same problem with VIII...after installing the live messenger, which was preinstalled but not working, it worked...don't know why...but it's working for me :D

next time it is 98% down to 95% only 3% why this kind of non uniform discharge behaviour under same conditions but different days

I'ts not completely the right thread, but what is abeout the sd/mmc "timeout" ?
I've never tested any other ROMS than gullums, so I don't know if there is any difference.

The Problem is, that after the device is in standby (not sure if instantly or after a short time) the sd/mmc diaspears without getting noticed by windows.
Is there any solution for this?

It seems to have the best ability to remember settings compared to previous ROMS.
The most notable bug for me is the persistant slow scrolling in PIE.
Replacing "webview.dll" fixed that problem.

Are you using any data services? Have you got a PIN on your SIM card? Have you tried a different SIM card? My guess is that this is specific to your service provider, and may not be the fastest thing to fix. Have you tried using the network setup wizard under Settings->Connections?

Agreed!! I have switched back to beta2 as this rom works quite well for what I need it to do; if the bluetooth and activesync worked then it would be 7th heaven. Let's hope that is fixed too in the final release.

Yes, you only can remove the old files from storage card or from the main storage. From the pc you get an error announcement.
What did you get for a look, when the contact file is not working? Happened it by pocket cm or by the cube? Until this time all functions are okay on my prophet, so i will take a look, if i know, what´s the problem at yours.

Till now my pda is stable and all the application working properly,

only one issue with SMS, MMS and EMail. We need to enter contact number manually or we have to opt menu->Add Recipient option to add contact even though its available in Contacts.

It was deliberate, but i changed it to the normal way. Don´t know, whats happening with your dialer background...it should look like the pic downside. I will upload it again, maybe, the upload failed. I will now upload the changed theme, hope it will run better for you. I opened my cube often and all went okay. Hope, that you have now more luck.

This ROM seems to be very well for being a Beta! I really like it.

I am missing only two things:
1. support for the Dutch language in the XT9. Does anybody know where I can find this? I had a CAB for WM6 for the standard keyboard, but htis is not working for XT9.
2. The recognition of names in the to field for SMS and email. This problem is already reported earlier in this thread..

You can´t upgrade with vista. You must have XP and Active Sync 4.5. The only way in vista i heard about, is to emulate xp-sytem with a program.

i did install it today and installation is easy as usual. however i found two issues

- i could not sync. active sync complaints about not enough memory available on the device (i had 24MB free)

- the pocketCM app could not be started

hence i deinstalled and put transformer1.1 back up. looking forward to final release though.. it looks very promising!!!

Can u release a version with HTC task manager n HTC camera 4.11 cuz i have no problems with the new task manager n i dont care about the battery drain cuz camera 4.11 is beautiful.........installing them seperately slows down the rom.....

you can use camera 4.11 cab file. rest is upto gullum .battery has been a very big issue for many people.

here is my button assignment screen ,alttab and screen rotate in front,superbright on left top as its handy if you want it bright while reading something so you dont have to switch windows ,display switch for saving power while playing with audio manager ,hold for ram.

is there a known issue that one cannot send sms and not receive SMS either? anytime i want to check my phone settings it tells me phone is busy try again in 15 seconds.

I thinks someone else had this issue, and as of now there is no fix... It might be sorted in the final version, but other than that no idea what to do...

noticed, that they various keyboards strt outputting blanks after i changes some settings with the touch keyboard. anyone know why tht is or how to change that?

2 things I've noticed now that I have been using this rom for the past week.

1) Signal/network status icon does not update or shows the wrong status.

For instance, I know that I am in a very good reception area, usually get all bars however there are times when the indicator seems to get stuck at the lowest 1bar setting. There doesn't appear to be any impact to actual reception at all, just a visual thing.
[EDIT: If you have a look at the attached picture you will see what I mean. ]

2) When opening emails/txt from contacts with photos the photo icon is displayed too far to the right that you can only just see the edge of the photo.

downloaded installed and all working now (after i went back to the 20.21 radio rom.

however, i found an incompaitbility which is the pocketCM keyboard 0.11b. it does not work under prophet touch IX but only for multi line fields. neading i can create tasks, but cannot put in task notes.

i can actually type the words, just that on the screen all i see is empty charachetr spaces, i.e the actuall lete never appeas visible on the screen. same goes for SMS and other mutliline applications.

this becomes a bit fo a pain, as i converse in multiple languages, one of them swiss german which there is no language file for.

any suggestions on how to work around this issue, or even better how to solve it

rename your "my pictures" in my documents(my documents of rom) folder to "_my pictures" it automatically detects sd card pics all of them no need to touch registry.

The problem of showing MMS at choosing messaging on HTC Home is solved

what I did:
create a GMAIL account
the * stood in front of GMAIL
switch display account picker on and off and on :p

and all of a sudden, I get into accountpicker and OUTLOOK is *'red

...


But, how do I activate the Cube I can get it on by stroking some down in my screen, but its very random to pop up. And how can I remove the whole thing?

And, the auto-name-input for SMS a.s.o. is not working yet. An idea, to get it to work?

Final Summary Beta3 (from me and more than one guy from this discussion topic) needed corrections are:

1.active sync via bluetooth not working
2.Settings>Connections>Gprs settings tab selections are blannk for CHAP etc (SOLVED)
3.the radio signal animation is non uniform sometimes stuck up on 2 or 1 signal bars (SOLVED)
4.first time we open internet explorer after a hard reset it says page cannot be found "home address given under options is file://\windows\taurho.htm"

this is gonna be a great rom ,there is no loss of contacts or email accounts although i don't use MMS so i cannot confirm that area neither do i use office because i use planmaker and textmaker from softmaker.com/english and for messenger i use IM+ which serves enough to me.

I personally find PocketCM more than adequate. Although random access would be nice, PocketCM has the feel of a complete app.

After fixing some small issues, this ROM runs very, VERY stable. It's fast, it syncs via GRPS/WIFI, it makes the VPN-connection to my work-network automatically.

In 2 days of installing and trying some things out, never hung. Never needed a reset. Hmm, i'm impressed.

What advantage do I have, installing the IX version?
