the extra language images for touch dual keypad as cab files and the missing german xT9 have been uploaded to http://gullum.4shared.com
download DElsUN_xt9.ldb.zip and extract it and put it in windows folder

the sound disapering problem from VII is back in this rom so to solve the problem momentarely you have to goto phone settings phone and under ther option keypad choose of. now the sound will not disapaer anymore

Well, i've upgrade my JAMin and when i found thats it becomes slower when we open TCM Contacts, at least in my case.
other waise it's wonderfull like VIII.

no such a big difference between VIII and IX.
I found two improvements:
1- touch flo works better than previous VIII
2- camera is almost perfect, almoost smooth movement

using touch ix for 12 hours now and no issues found. i deactivated htc home and media hub mini from autorun and changed pp to 4mb. speed stil ok and free ram about 21-24mb. what about model id in battery driver? haven't you planed to set this to pm300. coolcamera still doesn't recognizes prophet so max. picturesize is only 1.3mp. :(

unfurtunaly it's not enough with the right battery driver we need to change the name to prophet in OS.nb with a hex editor and I haven't fugures out how to do that :(

the right battery driver will only get the right model in device information.

oh i dindn't mentioned, that it would be such a duty. anyway - you did a great job in finding out what to do for getting "wiza" out of our prophet roms :D
i already tried to edit os.nb with hexeditor in the past, but there where only few values that have shown prophet or pm300. nothing about wizard and its id.

one issue/bug that i'm wondering about:
with coolcam running on wm5 it was able to record video directly to sd-card in 13 fps @ 320x240. on every wm6 rom the sd-card driver must be extremely slow - slower than under wm5, cause video at 320x240 is only possible with 0.5 or 0.25 fps. if i store to phone storage it records at 12-15fps.

is it possible to optimize the cardslot driver, so that reading and writing speed is increased (like in wm5)?

i used sk tools and vfs cardspeed to benchmark sd-card speeds.

This ROM is by far the best so far.. Super Fast and stable until now.. Had an issue when i restored my PIM Backup, got stuck on the welcome screen after soft reset (Reason: Speed Dials / Solution: Avoid restoring speed dials).. Had to hard reset and now is it flying!!! Great work.. The Cube is so sensitive! Why? It's damn fast, that's why.. :)

I know this question might be stupid but: is Prophet Touch IX (or VIII, if u like) "faster" than Transformer 1.1 from Cloudyfa? Is the handling more "responsive"? Sorry, I can't flash my prophet now to test it myself because I really need the phone working right now :)

I had flashed both(all three) and I think there is no big difference.
Transformer 1.1 was very stable. I had some problems with Touch VIII....
Now I have flashed touch IX (since 3h or so) and it seems to be stable and fast.

Battery drain was not so big in Transformer 1.1 as in Touch VIII, but i can not say about Touch IX. Hopefully it will be OK because I like the Gullum roms more than the Cloudyfia ones....

So your decision should not be about the speed but about which one you like better....All three roms are very fast!

and if someone likes to do some design for me I'll be verry happy but they must be dark and black to fit the Prophet Touch series.

I installed IX Beta last evening and i must say, it´s much better than VIII. It´s fast as before, but no battery problem. Yesterday with VIII my battery goes 20% less in 12 hours, with only little use, the nights before always about 10 - 13% less - after installing IX in one night/ eight hours it was 2% less. A real big difference. WLan and all other programs are very good. No bugs, that i found until this time. My cam function is also very stable.

under homeplugin launcher there is a LOCK icon which if you click locks the screen and at the same time brings main time display of home plugin on the screen ,
OBServation:-
1) i clicked homeplugin LOCK icon before sleep last night and battery was 88% and after 8 hours i woke up this morning and unlocked screen to find battery was still 88% (Means 0% Battery loss overnight with lock ON,which should be atleast 2-3%).
2) Now the STrange observation was when i plugged in the charger after about 20 minutes , the 88% battery display jumped to 93% all of a sudden
(88>>93%=How?)
i wonder what could it mean ?
please leave the LOCK on overnight and observe battery next morning ,is it same after 8 hours,
i think either battery meter stops a count when lock is ON or there is still something unknown because second observation was strange.

BETA remarks: none camera does work way better tho the new camera programme looks nicer... (still no progress on the battery drain?)
I think the wlan uses too much power aswell but that is in ALL roms... so maybe it's just the device itself, draining...
anyway with a 214mW drain i think i got it right, my prophet survives 2 days and a few calls...

in short:

Gullum, Another great rom from you and HMA4, how do you guys find spare time to program cook and export these fine roms... if i were HTC you 2 would have jobs at my company months ago... is HTC blind, stoopid or both? anyway keep 'em commin...

when i tried to unzip the download given it says error in compression. may be thats the problem. before i used to get 2mpxl for my camera and now i get vga only.
i am new to these things... anyone there can point me to the right direction. i tried to remove IX and put VIII also. but its not working either. can u tell me where i can get undamaged zip file for IX or someway i can install VIII.

one more thing when i press that connection button on my phone it says 'AltTab' cannot be opened. Either its not signed with a trusted certificate or one of its components cannot be found. i am having the same pro for lots of progrs like mem manager.

i used VIII and i found that:

the 2nd sound when press start/settings or prog. not found

the htc customizer (prog modify appearance of htc home plugin) not work with htc plugin in the rom

if you put abattery indicator like that of pocket plus it will be better than battery status

for arab users can you replace net work wizard with that one (http://www.mr-s3oodi.com/Nofa/mms-jamin/mobile4arab.rar)

there is another thing in camera (picture theme not work) no tempelates

is there any prog to make themes for wm6

This beta works pretty well so far, but I've just found a very bad problem: all my .mid ringtones (in \Windows\Rings\) sound very bad, very distorted and loud.
Ringtones in other formats (.wav, .mp3...) are played properly though.
Also I can play .mid files correctly with Media Player, so it seems to be related to the ringtone functionality only.

I'll try hard resetting once more later today....

Your comm manager button can be set to every function/ program over Settings/ Personal/ Buttons. Gullum set the "lt/ Tab Function to it, i think, because the comm manager is in htc home plugin and also in the cube.

I had installed Prophet WM6 Touch IX successfully, but their is a an error:
"Unable to enter the Picture Theme mode. - The selected Picture Theme template is missing or invalid. Please select a new Picture Theme template 36001:107:100"

Is their any solution for this error...

Telling from personal experience, Transformer 1.1 is lousy.. Prophet Touch IX is super fast and very stable... Trust me! :)

I have some visual bugs in Touch IX beta.

1. Horizontal scrollbar in Pocket IE with any font size.
2. Horizontal scrollbar in New SMS and View SMS message modes.
3. Big font size in the input area of new SMS and the same font size in TO: field of news SMS.

Do you have any ideas about it?

In other respects this ROM is excellent!

No, it's not. Midi ringtones played fine with VIII and any other I tried so far, so it must be something with the IX ROM itself.
Last night I installed PDAViet's Transformer ROM and it works fine, so it's definitely a problem of the Prophet Touch IX. But it's a beta, so I'm not disappointed...

To test the java at least one jar file should be installed. For example gmail jar client, to test this:
Go to http://www.gmail.com address from the Internet Explorer on your device.
Click the "Get faster Gmail" link at the top. Then click Download gmail link. Esmertec Java application automatically run and you should continue for the installation of gmail client. After installation you can launch the gmail client application inside the Esmertec Java. If it runs successfully you should see gmail logon screen. Let me know if it is OK.

I got a strange problem. Now I cannot recieve any calls when my mobile it is in idle state. I tried calling from my landline and other numbers to test it, I can hear the ringing on the other end but in my mobile. While ringing on the other side when I press the power button immediatly my phone starts ringing!!!!

I got the same problem with Tranformer Mysterious V1.0 ROM, so I changed to this IX version to see whether it helps, but the result is same. Please let know whether there is a problem with mobile or ROM!!!!

i would keep it in idle and wait and watch for a day or two ,but still i would like to know :
1.)which today plugin are you using ,
2.)also have you cleaned up startup folder (including hidden files visible through resco explorer etc..) and then softreset and observe ,clean up here means move those files to some other location temporarily(like sd-card)

i only had signal loss symptom (no operator found)that too yesterday after so many days of flashing for which i had to softreset,and everything was ok.

Like I said before the brn files for the animation of the cube are in extrom thats why it's not working by just putting the files in windows folder
the reg settings for Biotouch are pointing to the extrom

I´ve changed all entrys of Biotouch in the registry...thx gullum - and now the cube-function is allright. It looks beautiful. and all functions are allright. For interested users: In Rome Design is the copy of Biotouch-Registry file (HKLM/Software/HTC/Biotouch) and maxnipers brn files from my bmp´s for download.

You are not alone. I am in Touch VII and it happened today for the first time. In Touch VI it happened two times. I could not figure out what caused this but I use many tray icons.

I got a strange problem. Now I cannot recieve any calls when my mobile it is in idle state. tray icons confirmatorily cause call problems you refered too on imate jam (magician) so i would never use them here i would use resco today plugin with compact skin instead

P.S.-in the end it depends weather you want a stable battery driver or tray icons , disable tray icons and try calling after 10 hours or more it still would recieve calls ,on my side i will try enabling them and check tonight.

I also read on here somewhere that the backlight home plugin was causing the boot freeze
also this missed call problem can be caused by the profile tab I don't know if it's fixed because I never use apointments I have my head for remembering tings like that :D

It´s for pocketcm, copy the .cmt in the folder of pocketcm in Program Files, then start pocket cm and go to settings, choose new ui-theme. It´s a changed skin from another user-design from pocketcm

But, in the lase release (the beta) i have a problem with sync via bluetooth.
I can create a partnership with my pc, than i can select a serial-port as service, i can't select "Active-Sync" as service. So i can not connect via bluetooth to ActiveSync. That is wrong? In prev. version (III) where was no problem.

Hey thanks for your repies. There is no device lock or any other special plugin (just HTC home plugin and battery status). I have tried to reflash and see whether that helps, but it didnt. Rest of the programs works fine!!!

And you dont have to wait for 10hrs or so to test it... just 2 hrs would do, because I got this problem in less than 2 hours.

Now I reflashed to Tranformer 1.1 now it works fine without any problem.

P.S: For me Mysterious 1.0, VIII and IX roms gave this problem.

i guess i discovered a bug by using the htc audio manager (haven't seen this problem in previous roms).
i selected play all songs and chose any of the listed audio tracks from sd card, but the chosen ones won't be played. i get a message "memory critically low" instead and i'm forced to close the audio manager otherwise my prophet freezes.
selecting tracks, by genre, artist and stuff like this still works perfectly.

the first bug is because I tried to change the icon of the exe :( and that destroyed the exe also Clear temp, Superbright and wm5orage are destroyed I need to use the originals exe again :(

hi, flashed this rom yesterday and most things work great, except some minor bugs mentioned earlier. I also found that you need to press the wifi button in commanager twice to activate it.
I also must say that the xt9 input is great now I only miss having it working in swedish.

by the way, I am also thinking of buying a tytn ii, may we have a short review from you,when you get yours?

pocketcm keyboard isn't working when touch keypad/keyboard is selected to work with xt9, you have to change the mode to abc otherwise you won't be able to add letters, you get spaces instead. xt9 somehow reactivates itself when switching keyboards, freakin annoying. is there a way to deactivate this xt9 crap completely?
new sms -> to field -> no contactnames suggestion.
how can i change the fontsize in sms etc?

Same problem here. But additionaly i wanted to say that in all "standard" text fields no text appears even when i'm using pcmkeyboard.
I would suggest to leave the xt9 and the touch keyboard/pad untill the problem is fully solved.

this has to be changed with a hex edit of OS.nb and I don't know how to do this and operantly no one knows how to do this.

Just an idea, I guess that comparing 2 Wizard & Prophet stock roms would dramaticaly reduce the amout of values to check, once known drivers sections are excluded..

One problem, but only graphical. If i change the comm manager to the old style, it displays buttons similar to those of WM5... Just wondering if there are any 'prettier' sets of images to replace them. Other than that, this is the fastest Touch ROM I've used, and I love the redone home screen.

- Personally i dont like the new "moon with reflection" graphics, especially because is a very personal wallpaper and doesnt fit well the soft & smooth look of htc touch that this rom is all about;

- Its not easy to customize the rom because the moon graphic is all over the rom (dialer, comm manager, etc). Also i think it becomes a bit overly used ... ;

- My suggestion would be : keep the default graphics from htc touch on the rom, and create a addon .cab that is installed from extrom automatically to personalize the rom with the "moon graphics" (a bit like transformer rom works). This way we can have the good of both worlds (a joke about the moon graphics eheh), the graphics integrated, no extra space needed (because the addon would just overwrite the .bmps, etc), fully customizable and for people like me that dont like this theme, could keep the htc default graphics by just removing the .cab from config.txt before flashing.


You could add all the customizations you do (i'm also thinking about the new icons, batterystatus skin - currently on custom.cab, etc) in that .cab.

Currently the more annoying bugs in beta 2 are:

- not portuguese support in xt9, so is not a great help :S even after putting my portuguese language pack (dictionary files, etc) doesnt work (they work perfect with the default keyboard);

- the bigger text font size in sending sms. has the side effect of appearing an horizontal scroll that takes our precious screen space;

- The new icons are very "jaggy" - maybe an incorrect conversion or something, since they dont look to be high-color icons;

- The htc today plugin "mirror effect" ... only looks nice with the "moon graphics" ... otherwise looks very weird;

- Maybe instead of GB-SOFT Tweak, why not Advanced Configuration Tool 1.0 ? Does the same + lots more;

- Also suggesting wm5newmenu; very nice small util to put on left soft key to easy access to new (sms, contact, note, etc)

- I know is not a fully-related thing with the rom but, in RomSetting, if we select contacts mode = pocketcm, the shortcut in the right softkey doesnt work at all (only by reinstalling pocketcm.cab)

- Uniformize the shortcuts to the "standard", ex: "adobe reader" -> "Adobe Reader", "RomSetting" -> "Comm Manager Settings", "Cube customizer" -> "Cube Customizer", "TFSetting" -> "Touch Flow Settings" ... like this ... basically use the camel notation.

- not portuguese support in xt9, so is not a great help :S even after putting my portuguese language pack (dictionary files, etc) doesnt work (they work perfect with the default keyboard);

- the bigger text font size in sending sms. has the side effect of appearing an horizontal scroll that takes our precious screen space;

- The new icons are very "jaggy" - maybe an incorrect conversion or something, since they dont look to be high-color icons;

- The htc today plugin "mirror effect" ... only looks nice with the "moon graphics" ... otherwise looks very weird;

- Maybe instead of GB-SOFT Tweak, why not Advanced Configuration Tool 1.0 ? Does the same + lots more;

- Also suggesting wm5newmenu; very nice small util to put on left soft key to easy access to new (sms, contact, note, etc)

- I know is not a fully-related thing with the rom but, in RomSetting, if we select contacts mode = pocketcm, the shortcut in the right softkey doesnt work at all (only by reinstalling pocketcm.cab)

- Uniformize the shortcuts to the "standard", ex: "adobe reader" -> "Adobe Reader", "RomSetting" -> "Comm Manager Settings", "Cube customizer" -> "Cube Customizer", "TFSetting" -> "Touch Flow Settings" ... like this ... basically use the camel notation.

The newer contact manager software is much better, and suits the Touch feel, but without the softkey shortcut is a bit useless. Couldn't you create skin files for each different set of images and save installing/uninstalling and just select them from a list? Is there anyway of integrating different TouchFLO images or designs into the ROM?

My only other annoyances are at the loss of e-mail settings and of my WEP code after a shutdown or soft reset. The e-mail I've experienced before and have a solution to, but the WEP is more annoying and requires me to find the file with the code in...

Other than that, I love the ROM and the feel of it.

Yes it's possible to make one more side to the cube but that needs to be done by someone other then me :) it should even be posible to have even more sides to the cube.

i had installed Prophet Touch IX build 1, i'm able to open Windows Live application but its not getting connected to Internet. when i'm trying to sign in to windows live Its giving error message "Windows live was unable to establish an internet connection" even though i have internet connection.

the easier way is to scroll the finger from the top to bottom of the screen

I do not understand the second question... if you meen without the cube then go to the tool folder in programs and choose touchflo setting and uncheck enable cube. then you only have fingerscrolling and no cube

random access will give you the acbd line like in PocketCM to the default contacts but then you can't fingerscroll.. so it's not realy needed unless you want that.

Where did you find the language files? I am intrested in finding swedish language do you have it?

Try change the reg setting: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\ezsip LibraryCount to 16. Then you will have more Languages to choose from in the Input Setting.

it's not maped to a button I have it in the quick launher in the homeplug but I will probable swap it with the endkey that is mapped to left softkey.

on the original touch dual it pops up when sliding out the keyboard

just rename the rgu file to reg and replace the first lin in the rgu fil

then place the new reg file in the phone
and then go to regedit program press menu > registry import

I know of these bugs and they are corected in next version
the problem is I changed the icons for these apps and the exe files got curopted
I have found a new way to change the icons without editing the exe files so in next version I'll have all the apps working but with new icons

They have can't get the oem pack I have for the Camera album to work with Touch (ELF) so I'm shure some file is missing

Great rom.

Another question, have you been able to fix the bluettooth syncing with PC issue? I need to sync my calendar, tasks, and notes at work with my Qtek, this is crucial for me, and I need this to work. I have never for whatever reason been able to use the usb cable at work, so bluetooth is my only option.

I like this rom as it is fast, stable and the battery life is great, so would be reluctant to have to change.

In the Mysterious ROM the name is displayed correctly, but in IX Touch beta or French Touch II (XVX45) the name is tranformed in digits. I flashed my Qtek several times the result is the same.

but only the images for eng and ita will be build into the rom the other language images will be add on manualy by the user.

My Touch Keyboard isn't working properly... In the PocketCM, if I try and type (for sending a text/adding a note to a contact) it gets stuck in the 'symbol' mode with blank keys, and needs a soft reset to change back to normal. I get upper image but without the numbers/letters.

is there possible to have seperate backlight brightness levels for "on battery" and "on AC" or some cab for this because some roms use it others don't does anyone know ,it feels good when you put full backlight brightness (on ac) and plug the charger in screen lightens up suddenly,and put one less than minimum for "on battery" option.
