Any way to change displayed date format in forums?

I'm wondering if I can change something in my profile to get the dates to display as those of us in the States are used to seeing, that being DD-MM-YY. The other way drives me bonkers. Any way to do this?

well I can't say for sure but there is an option for 'Date & Time' in the User Control Panel of your Profile.

Click User CP.....>Edit Options.....scroll down to 'Date & Time Options.
